Can anyone else see the difference here? 🙂

Lewis vs. Max:

Lewis vs. Charles:

And then Lewis Hamilton says after the race "Such a proud moment for me, man."

"The man," seriously. Nothing more to say about it.

I really have to mention that record Rajkonov set today.
It seems like those previous 19 races at this track didn't teach him much, because today he spun out like a complete amateur.

LOL.

Look, even the ever-objective Narain Chandhok says he personally would never have handed out a 10-second penalty for that.

If I recall correctly, the last time we saw anything like this was with Fernando Alonso—pretty sure he pulled about 46G back then. 🤔...who basically had no choice but to sit out the next race.

Yeah, but you have to wait and see what they actually say—I mean, if he just took a breather, he should be fine in two weeks or so.

The FIA just dropped their reasoning for why Hamilton took the hit during that clash with Verstappen at the #BritishGP—basically claiming the Mercedes wasn't hitting the apex and left way too much space on the inside. Just another day in the office, I guess.

So, the hamster had plenty of room to avoid getting hit. Since Max isn't the first one to get caught up in this kind of mess—it’s basically becoming his signature move at this point.

Jason Campbell70 said:Even Narain Chandhok—who’s usually pretty level-headed—is saying he personally would never have handed out a 10-second penalty for that.

The folks over at Sky jumped straight into defending Hamilton the second it happened.
Daemon Hill mentioned he’s all for the penalty—which makes sense, considering he actually knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of a shady call from someone like Narain Chandhok. He's been around the block, unlike some people.

The GOAT takes the win once again. Maximilian ended up in the barriers, Sebastian Vettel got spun out fighting Fernando Alonso, and Kimi Raikkonen lost his footing too... everything is right with the world again.

Fernando Alonso went for a stroll too, and two weeks later he was still fine...
Since Max clearly took a massive hit, there's no way the doctors are clearing him to race in Canada.
The only silver lining for Red Bull Racing is that there's a break after Canada, so at least there won't be any more races during the hiatus...

Hamilton 🤦
Man, this interview on NBA League Pass says everything you need to know about his character...👎

I'm honestly better off not saying what I really think about him after that statement...
Gonna go ahead and ban myself for a bit 😵

They'll be waiting on Fortin for that one...

Look, I don't know if everyone's been living under a rock lately, but this is exactly how championships are won. This is how Senna took it in 1990, how Schumacher did it in 1994... I won't even list them all, but man, I am just so pumped that we're finally going to see a real, legitimate fight for the title after all these years.

Man, this interview on NFL+ really reveals a lot about his true character...👎

I honestly won't even get into my thoughts on him after hearing that statement...
I'm going to go ahead and take a little break from the thread for a while. 😵

Yeah, you're absolutely right.

Lewis Hamilton basically said something along the lines of: I don't care about anyone else, I'm doing things my way because whatever I decide is always right.
He's essentially saying other drivers make mistakes, but he isn't to blame for anything today.
On top of that, he's incredibly proud of himself and how he handled things today.

fadedwalker18 said:Yeah. You've got a point there.

Lewis Hamilton basically said something along the lines of; I don't care about any of this, I'm doing my own thing because whatever I decide is right.
Others on the track make mistakes, but today? It's not my fault.
In fact, I'm actually proud of myself and how I handled things today.

I simply respect the words and stances of my idol.

"If you no longer go for a gap which exists you are no longer a racing driver"
The GOAT spotted an opening today and took it.

After all, that's why he's the GOAT—he surpassed his late idol a long time ago.

Lewis Hamilton basically said, "I don't care about anything, I'm doing my own thing because whatever I do is right."
Other drivers mess up on the track, but today? It’s nobody's fault but theirs.
To top it off, he's actually proud of himself and how he handled things today.

And that's not all—he won't even bother talking to Max Verstappen because why bother?
Plus, he's basically predicting we'll see more of this exact same nonsense later this season...

The issue is the FIA and this whole disgrace...
Check out this solid article on the subject:

And yeah, no matter how you slice it, this is a massive embarrassment for the FIA as an organization.
Even if I thought Lewis Hamilton was at fault for the collision...

If he isn't guilty, then why even bother with a penalty?
The guy was shaking in his boots while Christian Horner was screaming in his ear, so sure, they handed out a penalty...

But if he *is* guilty and he rammed a direct championship rival out of the race, then a 10-second penalty is a total joke—not for Lewis Hamilton, but for the FIA.

And honestly, after this, expect Max Verstappen to go right after Lewis Hamilton. I'd bet my life on it.
Thanks to that clown who can barely function because he's terrified whenever Toto Wolff or Christian Horner calls him, and thanks to these incompetent stewards, we might actually end up seeing one of these title contenders—or both—get seriously hurt this season.

This isn't officiating; it's a circus and a complete disgrace.
And judging like this doesn't stop this kind of behavior; it just encourages it.🤦

Plus, we can definitely expect more of these head-to-head clashes before this season wraps up..

You hit the nail on the head again.
Anything could happen... though I wonder if Max is perhaps a bit... hmm... green when it comes to this kind of psychological warfare?
