Noticed this thread went dead, so here’s a little something to see if we can wake it up. Honestly, I took a break from betting for a while. When I was active before, I used to play parlays—hit a bunch of them, sure, but there's always that one random leg that ruins everything. So, I'm back to playing singles with smaller stakes. I've split my bankroll into four groups, and so far, I've mostly been hitting at least two out of four, with a couple of decent exceptions. Currently sitting in a solid profit relative to what I'm putting down, so fingers crossed it stays that way. 😁
Arsenal FC vs Newcastle United
Under 2.5 goals @ 1.98 (2/4) Pinnacle
Arsenal FC to win to nil @ 2.28 (1/4) Pinnacle
Arsenal FC has really turned things around after a pretty rough start to the season. They've picked up 10 points from their last four league matches. Their most recent game was a draw against Crystal Palace, which caught me off guard, but the silver lining is they kept a clean sheet. In fact, they haven't conceded in three straight league games (make it four if you count that cup match against Newcastle United), so the defense is looking legit right now. The attack is improving too, though it hasn't quite reached the level of the top-tier teams yet, making it hard to say how clinical they'll be—especially against sides that park the bus.
Newcastle United, on the other hand, have been struggling lately, and their offense looks pretty toothless. They've only managed two goals in their last six matches (seven if you include the cup clash with Arsenal FC). On top of that, they've only grabbed three points from their last six away trips, with a win over Crystal Palace being their only bright spot.
In their last meeting (US Open Cup, Jan 9th), they played out a 0-0 draw through regulation. My gut says Newcastle United will play a very tight, defensive game and try to keep things scoreless for as long as possible. Given where Arsenal FC stands in the standings, they desperately need these points. After that draw with Palace and some lackluster home performances compared to their away form, anything less than a win would be a massive disappointment for them.
Also, worth noting that Arsenal FC has won the last five matchups between these two, keeping a clean sheet in four of those. Given the current momentum, I wouldn't be surprised if that trend continues.
