rapidhound19 said:Can anyone dig up some info (I've been looking everywhere and coming up empty)... where exactly is this Iceland vs. Sweden game (U19 level) being played? If they're doing it in an arena over in Iceland—since that's how they handle their cup matches and everything through April—then maybe an Over 3+ bet actually makes sense...

Here you go:

Since you’ve clearly gone ahead and pored over the statistics yourself, I won't waste my breath lecturing you on the numbers... However, based on what I do know about this matchup... The home side is currently missing their top scorer and a regular starter in defense, plus they have two other defenders who haven't seen much playing time lately. As for the visitors, they'll be heading into this without their starting goalkeeper and two other key starters. Brest is fighting tooth and nail just to stay in the league, and the fact that they secured those three wins against direct relegation rivals means those points carry twice the weight right now. On the flip side, I can't quite recall the last time Angers looked this sharp; they're pushing hard for promotion to the First Division, and their current form is nothing short of excellent. If you were asking for my take, my primary pick would be a double chance for the away side, X2, with a secondary thought on a draw, 2. But honestly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we end up looking at a draw, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. 🙂

Körinn wrote this—plus some background info:

Thanks for the data. Given the circumstances—I’d suggest both teams to score and an over 2.5 total. I've caught a few matches live in indoor arenas where the scoring was relentless—often exceeding five goals—largely because the artificial turf and the specific atmosphere seem to favor offensive play, even if the court dimensions remain standard.

21 Spain- 21 Germany, yes at 1.60 (2:0)

Hard to pick a winner here. You've got the youth squads from two football giants facing off, and I'm guessing they play a style similar to their senior teams—fast, flashy, and heavy on the attack. From what I can gather, they've met three times before; about ten years ago, the Spanish side cruised to a 3-0 win, five years ago it was a scoreless draw, so the only real data point we have is last year's 1-0 home win.
Since it's just a friendly, if this were a competitive match, I’d give a slight edge to the fury of the Spanish side, but under these circumstances, I think it's anyone's game.
Plus, they haven't played a "both teams to score" match yet, so I figure it's about time that happens.
I'm expecting plenty of chances and action given how much these teams love to attack. That's exactly why I'm eyeing both teams to score. If I had to bet on a winner, this one feels like a draw to me, since that's pretty much where the power balance lies between these two.
Good luck, everyone!

02:10h All boys - Argentinian sides under 2.5 @1.45 / over 2.5 no @1.35 (0:0)
I don't find myself dipping into the Argentine leagues very often, but when I do, my selections tend to follow this specific pattern. If memory serves, there was quite a bit of discussion on this forum a few months back regarding certain Argentine clubs that consistently produce low-scoring affairs. One only needs to glance at the statistics to see the trend; looking at the two home matches played by All boys this season, the two away fixtures for the Argentinian side, and their head-to-head history, everything points directly toward the types of bets I've laid out here. For those looking to put together a casual parlay or a system bet, I would even suggest considering the under 1.5 line.

Herrenveen vs. Twente, over 2.5 goals at 1.55 (expected 2:0)

Just caught a glimpse of this comedy of errors being played out. I'm rushing to get my bets in, so I haven't had much time for a deep dive.
Not much else to say—the Dutch side is playing way too aggressive, and since they're mostly younger players running themselves ragged, I’m expecting 4 or 5 goals here. This might actually be one of my best picks of the day.
Good luck, everyone!

18:00h Ferencvaros vs. Haladas 1 @1.65 (2:0)
When I wager on the Canadian Cup, my strategy usually leans toward total goals, but this time I am going to attempt a straight win for the home side. Given that this is a cup tie, it is perfectly reasonable to expect a bit of unpredictability; the first leg ended in a scoreless 0:0 draw. While the two sides are relatively evenly matched on paper, I find myself favoring the home team, primarily due to the home-field advantage.

"Ferencvaros will miss top scorer Bode (18/9 m), Besic (15/0 d) and Laczkó (1/0 m).
On the other side, Haladas will be without more important players. Three important defenders: Feher (16/4 d), Guzmics (16/0 d) and Devecseri (16/0 d) ; and three important midfielders Nemeth (17/2 m), Nagy (17/1 m) and top scorer Rado (18/10 m) are all out for this match. Szakaly (9/0 m),Kalasz (3/0 m) and Medgyes (0/0 m) are also out."

Since we are dealing with the Canadian Cup, one should naturally anticipate a mixture of starting lineups. Considering that the national team schedules for both seniors and youth squads are currently underway, it stands to reason that several key players will be unavailable for their clubs. In this regard, Haladas finds themselves in a significantly more precarious position. Their manager has opted to hand opportunities to some younger prospects and reserve players instead. On paper, it looks like a straightforward pick, but we shall see how it actually unfolds on the pitch.

Gerald Carter53 said:It’s the cup, and the first leg ended in a 0-0 stalemate. These teams are pretty evenly matched, though I’d give the home side a slight edge just because they're playing on their own turf.

Actually, this isn't the Canadian Cup—it's the League Cup. In this tournament, teams usually just roll out their bench, which leads to some totally bizarre scorelines. You'll see a second-division side crush a top-tier team 7-0 on the road. Plus, most of these matches are played in front of maybe 100 to 300 people.

So, definitely tread carefully here! 😁

Switzerland vs. USA >2 goals (1.80) (2:2)

Look, I’m not expecting some wild rematch of that legendary 2012 showdown at the stadium, but I do expect a Swiss side that's coming out hot. On the flip side, our American squad looks a bit scattered with this lineup—makes you wonder how they're actually going to gel on the pitch. Still, if they managed to find the net under Coach Stimac before, why not now? I'm calling a 2:2 draw.

Germany vs. Chile 5+ goals (3.60) (1:0)

Sure, it's a bit of a gamble, but here's my logic: both teams have been clinical lately, and when Germany plays on home soil? They're a different beast. Smells like a 3:2 thriller to me.

Russia vs. Armenia 1 (1.35) (2:0)

I think Russia should handle this one pretty routinely. Not trying to be a genius analyst here, but between the current political climate and that post-Olympic momentum, they've got plenty of extra fuel in the tank to get the job done.

USA vs. Malta, under 2.5 goals @ 2.02 via DraftKings (2:0)

I'm leaning toward the under here. Looking at the Americans' last ten home friendlies, they've hit the under in eight of them—six of those were under 1.5. Their only two overs were a 2-1 loss against Canada and a 3-2 win over Mexico... not exactly a trend of high scoring...

Then you've got Malta. Their stats aren't quite as definitive—they're sitting at 6-3 for the over—but keep in mind they were facing teams like Austria, the Czech Republic, and Germany. Those are significantly tougher squads than what the Americans have been playing lately...

My gut says this ends 1-0 or 2-0 for the USA...

USA - Moldova 2 (1.50 SS) (0:3)

The USA is basically a punching bag; they have this habit of playing tight games and losing by two, sometimes even one, though that’s rare. Moldova is on a downward slide and isn't nearly as strong as they were a few years back when they were ranked around 50th in the world. They’ve played three matches this year against Norway, Poland, and Sweden, losing all of them by a single goal—though on ESPN, it looked like they only really struggled against the Poles. Before that, they beat San Marino 3-0, crushed Mexico 5-2 away, and drew 1-1 at home against Lithuania. Meanwhile, the USA hasn't scored a single goal in their last four matches. This high odd is probably because of that match in Chisinau last August that ended in a 1-1 draw. I highly doubt Moldova is going to slip up against a team like this twice.

Ukraine vs. USA | 1 @ 2.40 (playing in Cyprus) | (Current score: 2:0)

So, unlike yesterday’s hoops game—where I actually thought the handicap was a decent bet because the matchup felt legit—today feels like a total breeze. Why? Because the opponent is basically the political ally of their biggest rival! Honestly, in a game where the final score doesn't even really matter, I wouldn't be shocked if the Americans played a little "friendly" ball just to show some political solidarity during these crazy times, you know?

Plus, let's be real, Ukraine is the better squad here. They were totally holding their own against the French in the qualifiers, and they managed a scoreless draw against England back when everything was still up in the air—which, in my book, counts way more than those lackluster American results, like that measly 0:0 against Scotland or the 0:1 loss to Austria.

U21 - Northern Ireland vs. Italy - Ireland fails to score 1.92 at DraftKings (0:2)

(Comparing domestic books—DraftKings is at 1.90, FanDuel is 1.65, BetMGM is 1.70...)

The Irish side is struggling in this group—their only win was a narrow 1-0 against Cyprus. In fact, that’s their lone victory in their last 15 matches—aside from some wins against San Marino and the Faroe Islands over the last five years—and they've only managed to find the net in four games total. On the other hand, these young Italians play an open game—scoring and conceding in equal measure. They suffered a 3-1 stumble at home against Belgium, which—despite their 1-0 away win later—will likely cost them the top spot in the group. They'll probably have to fight for a wildcard spot as one of the four best runners-up, meaning they need every single win from here on out. I expect them to be highly motivated... and I doubt a weak Irish squad can pose any real threat to them. Given how rarely Ireland scores, this price seems worth a shot...

USA vs. Egypt - USA Over 1.5, 1.77 (0:2)

The US squad is playing super aggressive right now—and since they’re basically playing at a neutral site in Denver instead of home turf, they've got everything to prove...

Honestly, the US offense has been looking sharp lately—real clinical stuff. You've got guys like Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun just tearing it up, dropping two or three goals whenever they get the chance. The lineup tonight looks solid too; yeah, we might miss some midfield control without a certain playmaker, but having the younger talent pushed into those more natural attacking roles makes up for it. Plus, those wingers? Absolute weapons. They live to push the tempo and they're always popping up on the scoresheet or racking up assists...
Keep in mind, this is just a friendly. Egypt is showing up with a totally refreshed roster, a brand new coach, and a bunch of guys making their debuts after being scouted from the domestic leagues back home. Only about six of them have European experience... so basically, seven total newcomers for the Egyptian side.
I'm calling it: the US is going to be hunting for this win, pressing high, and I honestly think they walk away with at least two goals in the bag.

USA vs. Brazil: Both teams score & Over 2.5 goals @ 1.95—basically a lottery (1:0)

So, I’ve been digging through some friendly match stats from these two sides over the last year, and here’s what jumped out at me...

Looking at the South American squad... they put up a 4:2 against Ecuador and even managed a 3:3 draw with Paraguay

Meanwhile, Brazil was holding their own against European powerhouses—they grabbed a 2:0 win over England and pulled off a 2:2 draw against Spain

Honestly, I think the visitors are gonna be itching to prove something today, and they definitely have enough firepower to find the back of the net at least once...

Dortmund vs. Augsburg 1 @ 2.3 odds (1:2)

Look, I’ve gotta double down on this one because they seriously need a win at some point—and I’m fully expecting tomorrow to be that day. They just need to hold onto a lead for once... God knows why that's asking too much. They’ve basically thrown away 6 points over their last three games. Two of those were absolute disasters where they choked right at the finish line despite leading the whole time. Their last away game against Braunschweig was the same story—leading, then somehow ending up in a 1-1 draw. Just painful to watch.

The home manager is dealing with some roster headaches right now, and you can tell he's losing his mind over how badly they've been squandering points. But, he’s still trying to stay positive, so I'm hoping he can actually rally the troops and scrape together a win somehow..

Saturday 8:45 PM

NAC Breda vs. Vitesse 2 @ 1.8 odds (1:2)

The visitors were stuck in a total slump for a minute there, but it looks like they finally woke up from their coma. They've picked up two straight wins at home, and honestly, I don't see them stopping now—I think they'll grab a third in a row, and frankly, it's about time the home team took a loss. The hosts haven't lost in their last six, though they've been stuck in a string of draws lately. Vitesse has been looking pretty solid against visiting teams recently too—5 wins out of their last 6, with just one loss. They're nowhere near first place, but they really need to fight it out with Twente for that second spot to secure a Champions League qualifying berth.

You placed your bets on the Americans last time... I know this tournament carries significant weight for women's soccer. How did it actually play out from your perspective? You mentioned you were watching. After that recent stumble, I suspect they might pull off a win today. I have a decent grasp of how powerful the US women's squad can be, but I'm less certain about Sweden. Perhaps it’s worth looking into a wager on the US, Norway, or South Korea instead?!

I can't even begin to wrap my head around what some people are saying here—it’s like everyone just collectively decided to lose their minds overnight... honestly, I've been sitting here staring at these threads for an hour just trying to make sense of the absolute nonsense being peddled by certain "experts" on this board. It’s exhausting, really. You try to have a nuanced conversation about how things actually work in the States, and suddenly you're being shouted down by people who wouldn't know a real economic principle if it hit them in the face... it's just ridiculous. Anyway, where was I? Right. The sheer lack of logic is staggering... kaže:
Roger Phillips...
So you were betting on the US women last time... I know this tournament is actually a massive deal for the women's game right now. How did it look from your perspective? You mentioned you were watching it live. Honestly, after that massive blunder they made, I’m thinking they’re definitely going to pull off the win today. I’ve got a decent handle on how powerhouse the US squad is, but I don't know much about Sweden... maybe try playing it safe with the match against South Korea, Norway, or even the South Koreans instead?!

Honestly, if you look at the standings, the US and Germany are hands down the top two teams in this whole tournament... nobody else even comes close to that level of play.
I mean, let’s be real—it’s pretty much impossible to picture the semifinals without them in the mix...
So, I’m looking at the scoreboard and it looks like the Swedes have managed to pull ahead at the half... damn.😕
Iceland showed up looking absolutely gutted—they were missing their four best players, so what do you expect? Honestly, they’re a pretty mid-tier squad anyway, but that massive blowout against Germany says way more about how terrifyingly good the German side is right now... they're basically on a warpath to snatch that trophy away from the US.

Look, you really need to get to know the rest of the reps... seriously... if you want to survive this place, you gotta know who's who...
The outsiders... they’re just weak—total losers, honestly. They move like they're stuck in molasses, just slow and pathetic... while the fast ones? Man, that's a different league entirely...😍
How much do you think we can actually pull in?...🤷

I see... I don't even know where to start with this... honestly, just looking at the state of things right now makes my blood boil—it’s like nobody actually cares about the fundamentals anymore. You look at how certain people approach their business or even just their daily grind, and it’s all surface level, all flash, zero substance. It’s frustrating as hell because you see these massive, bloated corporations out here acting like they own the place while the actual quality just tanks... it's pathetic, really. I was reading some thread earlier—and yeah, I know, I spend too much time online—but it just reinforced how much we've lost that sense of local pride and actual craftsmanship. Everything feels mass-produced, sanitized, and frankly, just boring. Like, can we please get back to something that actually matters? Something with a bit of soul? I mean, I'm probably just shouting into the void here, but someone has to say it... Man, I’m telling you... he just completely falls apart by halftime. It’s like they walk out of the tunnel looking ready to win, all high energy and grit, and then the whistle blows for the second half and—poof—it’s gone. Just total mental collapse... honestly, it's exhausting to watch at this point.😕
They started out with that four-point deficit, so if everything actually plays out the way it’s supposed to—and I know, I know, nothing ever does—they really ought to be sitting right at the top of the standings alongside Fros...
They’re riding a massive winning streak right now—easily the best run they've ever had...
Look, let’s look at the facts here—if you can even call them that... Back in 2014, when they were playing for the Seattle Sounders, they put up nine matches. Just nine. And what did we get? A single win, two draws at home, and then nothing but a massive string of losses... It's honestly pathetic if you think about it...
Keep an eye out, guys... they might actually be cooking up something here...🤷☕

Red Bulls vs. LAFC Over 3 goals @ 1.66 for the boldheads @ 1.95 (0:1)

The head-to-head stats tell the whole damn story.

Every single matchup between these two has been absolute fireworks—we're talking over 3 goals every time, and yeah, both sides have been trading blows and finding the back of the net consistently.
Both squads kicked off the season looking sharp too... LAFC absolutely crushed it with a massive 5-0 blowout, while the Red Bulls managed a gritty 1-0 win on the road.
Honestly? Expect a total dogfight that’s high-scoring and anyone's game...

Schalke (-2+)-Hoffenheim (03.08. 15:30) Over 1.50 (4:0)

So, looking at these two squads... they both tend to get into high-scoring affairs—especially lately, they've been blowing past this line pretty consistently. If you're feeling extra gutsy, maybe look at the 3+ option... might be worth a shot...

image

Wolfsburg (-2+)-Bayern Munich (03.08. 15:30) Over 1.45 (1:6)

Out of their last five games, only two didn't hit the mark, but if we look specifically at Wolfsburg's last five, every single one went over two goals. As for Bayern's recent run, only one game stayed right at two goals instead of going over—that was against Arsenal—so again, for the risk-takers out there, 3+ is an interesting play just like that first matchup...

image

OH Leuven-RSC Anderlecht (03.08. 20:00) 2 1.55 (1:0)

Anderlecht has taken the win in their last two outings (2:1 and 3:1) and honestly, they’re looking way sharper than the home side right now. Even though the hosts are desperate for points to stay up in the league, Anderlecht is sitting comfortably in 3rd place behind Zwaregem and Club Brugge KV—who happen to be playing each other this round—and I really think this is the perfect window for Anderlecht to capitalize on a potential slip-up from those top teams since they're facing the 12th-place squad...

Vitória Setúbal-Sporting Lisbon (03.09. 18:00) 2 1.65 (2:2)

It’s a pretty similar vibe to the Anderlecht situation, except Sporting is chasing 1st place, which currently belongs to Benfica. Benfica is playing Estoril, who are sitting 4th, so Sporting should have a much smoother ride here... they're heading away to face the 10th-place team after winning their last two quite convincingly (4:0 and 2:1). Plus, they've got some serious momentum with three straight wins under their belt, so I'm betting they keep that streak alive...
