AS Roma is playing at home—they haven't even dropped points this season yet—and to top it off, Chievo is sitting dead last.

This is what you call a "sure thing." You've got AS Roma coming in with all these wins and having conceded only one goal, paired against a Chievo side that’s managed just four points in nine matches. Everything screams a home win here, but...

Personally, I'd lean toward over 2.5 and a 1:0 scoreline or better because, despite their terrible standing, I think Chievo actually has enough quality to stay in the league—which means they can definitely nick a goal against AS Roma. It’s funny, actually; looking back at last season, Chievo managed to beat them in both meetings.

Zvezda Rayazan - Kuban Krasnodar 2 @ 1.45 (HL)

You know the old saying: nobody ever got rich betting on cup games. 🙂
Just a quick reminder that yesterday's Russian Cup saw Kazan, Dinamo, and Lokomotiv Moscow all get knocked out—and to cap it all off, Zenit, who usually dominates the league, went down to a third-division side.

Yeah, I was aware Kazan had dropped out 🙂 since I caught their match during those incredibly early morning hours—I just assumed it was mostly jet lag for their players after crossing five different time zones to get to Vladivostok... I wasn't really aware of the others 🙈 — okay, I guess I'll withdraw my prediction; please just delete it so nobody else gets targeted, as I don't plan on placing a bet on it anymore 😁 Go ahead and erase this post of mine too.

Regarding AS Roma-Chievo, I think I share your caution, perhaps even more so because two clubs in similar positions to Roma in Italy stumbled in their leagues this past weekend: PSG against St Etienne and Sparta Prague against Slovan from Liberec. Roma is currently riding a very long winning streak (longer than both those teams mentioned), and I suppose with such an extended run, the statistical likelihood of a slip-up increases with every new game. In my view, a coefficient of 1.25 and the lack of a double chance option or a "no draw" bet doesn't really justify taking the risk on a potential upset.

Let's just leave the forecast alone for now—maybe it'll pass us by😁

As for AS Roma, I might just wait for some live action to unfold and see if the odds shift in our favor. I’m thinking about taking a shot at half-time/full-time 2/1 because, honestly, this feels like one of those games that could get messy—you know, when a win feels like a foregone conclusion and everyone just settles into it too early.

Eric Fox7 said:I might try the halftime/fulltime 2/1 option, since I suspect this could be a tough one for them given how much of an obvious win it seems to be on paper.

I suppose there is one more factor that provides a bit of optimism regarding a final victory for AS Roma. The league schedule is set up such that Napoli also plays at home against the bottom-tier Catania in the next round. Even though Romin has been on quite a winning streak lately, Napoli is still only two points behind the leaders. Consequently, Roma can't really afford to relax, because they could easily lose their grip on first place. It seems likely they will field their strongest lineup, as both the manager and the players probably expect Napoli to beat Catania this Saturday, which would put them at 28 points compared to Romin's current 27.

But as I mentioned before, I think the odds would need to be a little higher for me to actually place a bet—1.25 just doesn't feel enticing enough to me. 🙂

EDIT: The odds for an AS Roma win have climbed slightly—it's now 1.30, and options for 1X (1.07) and "no draw" type 1 (1.03) have appeared.

Jumping in here as a fellow Roma fan. Garcia is still preaching caution—saying today is our toughest test of the season—partly because we're missing Totti and Gervinho, and partly due to this brutal weekly schedule. We just came off an away win against Udinese playing a man down, so the squad is gassed. Expect some rotation. That said, Roma has done a complete 180 this year; the attacking flair has dipped slightly because the focus has shifted heavily toward defensive stability. We’ve actually had the fewest shots on goal this season, which just proves how much they're prioritizing a clean sheet. Also, looking back at last year, Chievo beat us twice—the first time I was actually at the game in Verona (honestly, the fog was so thick the match should have been called off), and the second time was late in the season when neither side really had anything to play for.

Roma will likely line up with: de Santis - Torosidis Benatia Castan Dodo - Strootman de Rossi Pjanić - Florenzi Borriello Ljajić. Like I mentioned, there will be some changes, but nothing massive. My bet, besides 1 (1.25) (1:0) , would also be total goals in the 1st half under 1.5 (0:0) . Roma plays patient, smart football—they wait for you to slip and then tear you apart on the counter.

Rom might only have one real opportunity to snap the New York Yankees' streak of ten unbeaten games to start the season. It feels like this chance is happening today and perhaps won't come again for the rest of the year, so I suppose it matters to the players. I am adding it to my parlay and wagering tip 1 at 1.30 (1:0) , though I guess we will just see how things play out. 🙂

Today at 5 PM, US Cup

Kansas City Chiefs - Baltimore Ravens 1 1.40 (2:0)

Unlike last season when they were actually a hot team, Kayserispor Robert Prosinečki started this campaign poorly and they are currently sitting at the bottom of the table.
They’ve had some decent performances too, though they somehow managed to drop plenty of points in stoppage time.
Over the weekend, they played a solid game at home, even if they did lose 2:4 to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Today they host a third-division side; I suppose it's an ideal chance for a turnaround, so a win would be quite significant.
Since this cup phase is a single-match format, I believe they can get it done without needing extra time or penalties. They really need this momentum because, honestly, they have a pretty good squad.

MLS:

8:00 PM Dijon vs. Niort 1 @ 1,80 (2:2)

The statistics seem to suggest that this might be a decent selection. In a league consisting of 20 teams, sixth place is hosting the thirteenth-placed side, though one specific data point really stands out when you compare Dijon's recent home form against Niort's away results. Looking at Dijon's last five matches at home, they have secured four relatively convincing victories and one draw, including two wins against teams currently ranked higher than them, such as Troyes and Tours. The points gap between sixth-place Dijon and first-place Metz is only four points, which puts them just two points behind third-place Angers—the lowest position that typically guarantees promotion to the top tier. The race here feels quite uncertain; if Dijon can improve their away performance for the remainder of the season, a promotion next year remains a realistic possibility.

On the other hand, Niort seems to be struggling significantly on the road. They have lost their last three away matches quite convincingly, including a 3-0 defeat against Chateauroux—a club that has only managed 9 total points compared to Niort's 15 and is currently sitting in 18th place, just on the edge of the relegation zone. If we look at the two away matches preceding this losing streak, they only managed a single draw. It appears they haven't shown any signs of being able to secure a win away from home for quite some time, even against much weaker sides, which certainly applies to Dijon.

Given the relatively solid odds being offered, I suppose I will take this pair. I'll send my best wishes to the club from the city famous for its mustard and its reputation as a major culinary capital of the US. I tend to think that where the food is good, the football should naturally follow suit. Best of luck! 🙂

Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart Both teams to score & Over 2.5 goals (2.35 at HL) (6:1)

We’re looking at two offensive machines here. From what I’ve gathered, Stuttgart hasn't missed a beat lately—they've found the back of the net in every single one of their last six matches. When you have teams playing this aggressively, you can pretty much bank on a high-scoring affair.

Friday, Nov 1st, 8:00 PM, Championship

Ipswich - Barnsley 1 1.65 (1:1)

This isn't exactly a lock. You have 14th playing 23rd, but I guess Ipswich is strong enough at home that a win might actually pull them into the top 10.
The main argument for this pick is Barnsley's disastrous away record; they haven't managed a single win in five road games.
On top of that, their defense is incredibly porous—arguably the worst in the league. They’ve already conceded 30 goals, which averages out to more than 3 per game.

21,30 Stanford - New York Yankees 2 2,10 (4:1)
(2,5) more 1,70 (4:1)

The odds on a Coca-Cola win look pretty solid. They're riding high right now—three straight wins in the league and two under this new manager... honestly, the vibe in the locker room seems way better than it used to be. Today’s away game is the perfect setup to keep that streak alive. Even though they're sitting just one spot apart in the standings, there's a massive gap in actual talent between these two sides. Plus, Coca-Cola gets their starting keeper back after three games, and the rest of the lineup should be pretty much business as usual. No major absences to worry about. On the flip side, the home team is struggling, coming off two straight losses. I mean, sure, Stanford has only lost once at home in six tries, but looking at who they've played, only Chicago Fire has actually shown any real quality; everyone else has been pretty much mid-tier. And that's exactly who they just dropped a game to. New York Yankees have a legitimate shot at taking all three points here. Besides the moneyline, I'm also eyeing the over. I'm hoping the home team finds the net just enough to help the over hit 😁. They've scored at least once in five of their last six home games, so why wouldn't it happen today? Then you've got Coca-Cola, who have seen four overs in their last six away matches, which adds some extra weight to the play. Personally, I think Both Teams to Score or even Over 2.5 goals could work, but I'm not feeling gutsy enough for that. I'll stick to the safer bet.

New York City - LA Galaxy over 2.5 goals 2.05 HL (4:0)

I love betting on goals in Major League Soccer; it rarely lets me down. In previous seasons, this would’ve been a massive derby, but both these clubs have had pretty shaky starts to the season, only showing some signs of life in the final few matches. New York City has picked up their last three home games, and the visitors are riding two straight wins. New York City rarely keeps a clean sheet, so I'm counting on them to concede again here.

Is it actually worth betting on Real Madrid today? I mean, look at how much those odds have tanked—it feels sketchy. Who’s to say they won't just throw the game or pull some nonsense just to laugh in the faces of everyone with a parlay out

I mean, I think it’s worth taking the bet. Sure, maybe Real Madrid has a bit of a lead in the standings right now, but honestly? They need these points more than anyone else. At this stage, there's no way they aren't walking away with all three.

20:00 LA Galaxy vs LAFC 1 1,55 (SS) (2:0)

The home team is basically the only squad right now actually breathing down the necks of the top six—they’re sitting at 22 points and are just one point shy of that playoff hunt. They did stumble a bit last round, losing and snapping a five-game winning streak, which was kind of a bummer. But man, they’ve got Ivan Santini playing out of his mind lately; the guy has bagged 11 goals out of their 18 total, making him the league leader. On the flip side, the visitors just moved up to the big leagues this year, so they're probably gonna be fighting for survival most of the season. They've managed 9 goals through the first 13 rounds but let in a whopping 23... yikes. Honestly, I'm feeling a home win here.

There is absolutely no way it's worth it at 1.35. You basically answered your own question right there.😁
