Milica, I honestly can't tell you how much I appreciate this. I just did a quick Google search and realized that's exactly what I'm dealing with. In the link below, the top image shows a nose that looks just like mine.

Does anyone happen to have a specialist they could recommend?

I’m dealing with a total headache right now because my glasses won't stay on my face. I even had them adjusted to fit tighter, but they still slip off constantly. Tried a few different frames too, but nothing works... honestly, though, it's a minor annoyance compared to how amazing it feels just being able to breathe again.🙂

I was in the exact same boat when I was deciding who to go with. I kept looking at Tony, especially since everyone here raves about him and so many girls seemed super happy with their results.
But honestly? I wasn't really feeling his style.
Maybe just get some sketches done or go in for a consultation first so you can actually see what he's thinking.
In my opinion, after surgery, Tony's noses look great, but the changes are honestly pretty subtle.

But, if I’m being totally honest, I wasn't a huge fan of his specific work.
Maybe look at some more before/after photos or just go in for a consultation—you'll see what I mean.
In my opinion, Tony's patients end up with lovely noses, but the changes feel really, really subtle.

Thanks so much for getting back to me! 🙂 I've been scrolling through his portfolio, and honestly, there are some shots where you can barely tell anything changed, while other photos show such an amazing correction.
As for Glumicic, I'm still on the fence. Lately, it seems like everyone on the forums is saying they're satisfied, but then I remember those older stories about people needing touch-ups afterward, or how he just focuses on shortening and lifting the tip. Honestly, I really don't want to end up looking like Miss Piggy! 😁

I mean, I can't decide. Glumicic does a beautiful job—he shapes the tip and everything so it actually fits your face. With Tony, I noticed he mostly just takes away the bump and leaves the nose basically as it was.
Anyway, you should probably just go in for a consultation and see for yourself 🙂)

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone here has gone through a nose surgery at a hospital before? Specifically, I’m curious about what the deal is with costs—like, if you actually have to get it done for medical reasons rather than just wanting to change your look, does insurance cover much of it, or are you still looking at a massive bill? If anyone has any insight or has been through the ringer with this themselves, I'd really appreciate it if you could drop some info below. 🙂

If you've got supplemental insurance, you aren't paying a dime.

slydriver56 said:I honestly can't get over how incredible Glumicic is! She does such an amazing job contouring—shaping the tip and the sides of the nose so perfectly. It really just works with her face shape. Meanwhile, I realized when I was watching Tony that he basically just hides the bumps and leaves the rest of the nose exactly as it is.
Honestly, you’re probably better off just scheduling a consultation so you can get some clarity on everything! 🙂)

Now that I’ve actually taken a moment to sit down and give it some proper thought, I have to admit—you make a really fair point regarding Tony. 🙂
And if you need any consultations too, thanks! 🎉

Hey everyone,

So, I'm heading in for septoplasty soon at the Mayo Clinic, and I was wondering if anyone who's actually been through it could give me the lowdown—just a few quick bullet points—on how the whole thing goes down? Like, what's the deal with the pre-op and post-op routine? I know every surgery is a bit different depending on how intense it is, but I'm just trying to get a general vibe... like, do they actually operate on the second day after you check in? How long am I stuck there?

I'm not actually from Chicago, so I'm basically just trying to give my parents a heads-up so they don't freak out too much. 😁

Thanks in advance for any help! 🙂

I checked into the hospital on January 1st, had my surgery scheduled for the 2nd, but didn't actually go under until the 5th because my surgeon wasn't even there.
On the day of the procedure, you're stuck in recovery, then you head to your room the next morning. I was discharged four days after surgery once they pulled my packing out, and went back a week later to get my cast removed. You won't have to deal with that, though, since you're "only" dealing with a deviated septum.

I have a quick question for anyone here who went through surgery just for a deviated septum. Is it actually normal for the internal lining to still feel this swollen two weeks and two days after the procedure?
When does this swelling finally start to subside?

Hey there,
has anyone here actually messed around with that little Magic to wear device? Apparently, you just wear it on your nose and you're supposed to start seeing some real results in about 15 days or so—does anyone know if that's legit?

So, I'm starting to plan my nose surgery, and honestly, I could really use some help picking the right surgeon.
I’ve been scrolling through this entire thread, but if anything, I just feel more indecisive than when I started.
The main issue is a deviated septum—it makes breathing a total struggle, and let's be real, it's pretty noticeable aesthetically too, especially in photos.
My nose is quite crooked; one side is definitely larger than the other, which makes breathing through the smaller side a real challenge.
I'm stuck wondering if it's better to go private or if I should handle both the functional and aesthetic parts at a hospital?
The only thing I've seen so far was some before-and-after shots from Tony, and since my nose is so crooked, I wasn't totally sold—the nose didn't look completely straight, you could still see the deviation. 👎 Is there actually any chance I can get my nose to look perfectly straight?
If anyone out there has dealt with a super crooked nose—not a bump or a big nose, just that specific crookedness—could you please reach out? I’d love to hear about your actual experiences.
I'm mainly looking for recommendations on which doctor is the best at fixing crooked noses while making sure everything functions properly, and also, what kind of prices am I looking at?

I already posted in another thread about how this lump has come back after my surgery. I really thought it was going to go away, but honestly, it’s getting worse by the day 😢—it used to be the same size, just more to the side near my nose, but now it’s moved almost to the center and you can actually feel it when you touch it. If I pull the skin taut, it looks white, like some massive subcutaneous pimple... though you don't even need to stretch it to see it clearly. I can't afford another surgery, and I have no clue how this happened when the specialist isn't supposed to scrape anything, but specifically targets the lump because of this 👎

I just can't afford another surgery right now, and I have no clue how this happened since the shaver is supposed to smooth things out and get rid of the bump precisely because of this 👎

Bass, I am so sorry 😢 who did you go to for the procedure?

Total idiot. If he keeps messing with me, I'm going to have to reach out to him 😢 but I can't afford another surgery right now—not to mention I can't make it in for a follow-up since he's all the way across the country in Seattle.

Just to add one thing—I’m not sending my photos to random people in DMs whom I don't even know. I sent them to one girl who had seen him too, because I actually trusted her. I just don't want to deal with the headache of hearing, "It wasn't that bad before, you're overreacting." That's not the point. It doesn't matter if things were better or worse before... the point is that after paying all this money, I don't want to end up with yet another bump or lump that I've dealt with my whole life, just in a different spot. To the naked eye, sure, you can't see it—but I can feel it under my finger, and I can see it if I pull the skin on my nose even slightly. Before, that bump was an obvious ridge everyone could see; now, it's "just" a little lump. Either way, it's there, and I'm terrified it'll become more noticeable as time goes on.

stormyharbor2, I think we’re in pretty much the same boat since we didn't end up seeing the same surgeon.
Lately, I've been noticing this tiny little bump on one side of my nose that definitely wasn't there right after the surgery. It shows up when I'm looking at myself from a certain angle, but then disappears from the other... weird, right?
And yeah, I get that things are still better than they were before, but honestly—just like you said—I didn't drop that kind of cash just to have a bump pop up two years later... who knows how it's even going to look in another few years... 😢

omg, same here. From one profile, you can clearly see a little protrusion, but from the other, nothing. It's most noticeable when you feel it with your hand—it's almost sharp. 😢 Whatever, I'm going to have to reach out to him and ask what's going on, because there's no way this is just going to disappear on its own... 😢
