Believe me, I barely felt any pain. It was more just some discomfort since they did three different things to my nose... but actual pain? No way. They kept me on Ketorolac, so it was pretty much painless

So, who'd you go to for the surgery?🙂

Okay, quick question—is it just me, or do these two people look like the exact same person? Seriously, they look identical to me, and even their nose looks almost the same after surgery.

It’s looking like it'll run you somewhere around $2,200.

I can't really see what's going on in that link—it looks like a broken image or just a dead end on the server. If you were trying to show me something specific, maybe try uploading the file directly or dropping a fresh link? I'm all ears if you want to chat about whatever was in the pic!

Honestly, they don't even look the same to me—if you ask me, we’re looking at two completely different people. 😕

So, when are you actually doing it? Seriously, I’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for you to drop the full breakdown of how it went! 🙂

When's the big day? I'm dying to hear how it goes! 🙂

Daa, yeah, I realized they weren't, but by then it was way too late to delete the post.
They're pretty similar though, and I actually love both styles.
The appointment is in less than a week 🙂)
I am seriously losing my mind waiting🙂)
I'd go for the style in the photo myself 🙂
Or maybe that one from if you saw the pics Glumicica posted on that lady's page—you know, the one with the white feather earrings. That one is gorgeous 🙂)

Hey everyone! So, I had my nose surgery just over two weeks ago at the Mayo Clinic, and honestly? It was a surprisingly positive experience for me. I went in for a septorhinoplasty with Dr. Pegan. I didn't actually pick the surgeon myself—my primary care doctor just booked me an appointment with the first available specialist she could find online. My surgery date ended up being four months after that initial consultation and plan. The doctor was truly wonderful—he answered every single one of my questions, and even after the procedure, he was incredibly kind and easy to reach. The staff in the ENT department were lovely, and I really can't complain about the accommodations either. Post-op recovery went smoothly; I didn't deal with much pain, and breathing through my mouth because of the nasal packing wasn't even a huge issue since I could barely breathe through my nose before the surgery anyway. The only real nuisance was that having the tampons in my nose meant I had to mouth-breathe, which makes your mouth get super dry and leaves you with this constant pressure in your head... but it’s nothing you can't handle, and I spent most of my days just sleeping through it. Getting the packing removed wasn't painful either, and let me tell you, the feeling of finally being able to breathe through your nose—and when food actually starts smelling again after five days—is absolutely priceless 🙂 I didn't have a ton of bruising, though I know that varies wildly from person to person. I headed home right after they took the packing out. On day five, I had the cast and stitches removed. Two weeks post-op, there's still a little swelling, the scar is minimal, and the numbness is gone. All in all, my only regret is that I didn't just get this done sooner to fix the problem—it really wasn't that bad compared to the final result 🙂

Hi everyone, I had rhinoplasty about four years ago performed by Dr. Bastaić. The goal was just to remove a small bump and refine my nasal tip, but honestly, the surgeon completely ruined my nose. Everything seemed fine at first while the swelling was still there, but once everything settled down and time passed, the results just kept getting worse. Now, I have this thin, line-like ridge running down the center of my nose, and my tip is wide and asymmetrical, being much broader on the left side. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even wear glasses anymore; I rely on contacts, but even when I try wearing sunglasses, I can only manage ten minutes before the discomfort becomes unbearable.

Now I’m looking into a revision surgery, but I am completely lost on where to go. Has anyone here had any experience working with Dr. Milenović? Or if someone could recommend a specialist, I would be incredibly grateful.

Thanks...

I’m back asking for advice again. About four or five days after my tip rhinoplasty, I was still wearing the surgical tapes and honestly, the mucus and crusting were driving me insane. I tried to be gentle, rinsing everything with saline and using a Q-tip to clean out as much as I could. On the left side, it worked perfectly—all the debris just cleared right out. But when I moved to the right side, it felt like I pulled something. It hurt so much that I panicked and stopped touching it immediately. Fast forward to my follow-up appointment about seven days after the surgery: I completely forgot to mention what happened because I was just so thrilled with how my nose looked once the doctor removed the tapes. Now, however, I’ve noticed a small swelling right above my right nostril that isn't present on the left. Am I just being hysterical, or should I reach out to my surgeon? My next scheduled appointment isn't for another week... Please, let me know what you think.

Maybe you just snagged a stitch or something? If it’s starting to feel a bit inflamed and swollen, that might be what's going on.
Honestly, I totally get it. I remember the first time I had my nose done—I accidentally yanked on a stitch thinking it was just a stray hair or something, and man, the pain was unreal.
It was one of those dissolvable stitches, too, the kind that just falls out on its own eventually.

Ashley Gomez said:Hey everyone, I had nose surgery about 4 years ago with Dr. Smith. I just wanted to get rid of my hump and slim down the tip, but honestly, he completely wrecked it. Everything looked fine at first while the swelling was still there, but once things settled down, it just kept getting worse over time. Now I’ve got this thin line of bone right down the middle and a wide tip that's even wider on the left side. I can't even wear glasses anymore—I wear contacts, but when I try to put on sunglasses, I can only last about 10 minutes before it becomes pure torture.

Now I need to find somewhere for a revision rhinoplasty, but I'm totally lost. Has anyone worked with Dr. Miller? Or if someone could recommend a good surgeon, please let me know.

Thanks...

Did you go back to see Smith for a follow-up? What did he actually say about the mess he made?
And why can't you wear glasses? Is it pain or what?

I did go in for a check-up, and honestly, he just told me everything was fine and basically kicked me out of the office. To be fair, things didn't look quite as bad back then—I suppose there was still some swelling involved—but even then, it wasn't looking great. Over time, it feels like the middle section has just sort of collapsed; now there's just that central bone left, topped by a peak that looks even wider because the middle has thinned out so much.

As for the glasses, I just can't wear them because they make my nose ache.

Honestly, back then it didn't look nearly as bad—probably because things were still swollen—but even then, it wasn't looking great. Over time, the middle part just seems to have collapsed, leaving that bone sticking out in the center, which makes the tip look way wider since the middle is so thin now.

And I can't even wear glasses right now because they just kill my nose.

Oh man! I am so sorry!

Honestly, back then it didn't look nearly as bad—probably because the swelling hadn't gone down yet—but it definitely wasn't looking good either. Over time, it’s like the middle part just collapsed, leaving that bone sticking out in the center, which makes the tip look way wider because the surrounding area has thinned out so much.

I can't even wear glasses because they just hurt my nose.

Sounds like you might have what's called a rooftop deformity. You need to go see an ENT at a major hospital... this isn't just about looks anymore, it's a medical issue.

I distinctly remember my first nose job—I accidentally yanked on a stitch thinking it was just a stray hair, and the pain was absolutely brutal.
Back then, they used those dissolvable stitches that eventually just fall out on their own.

That’s what I’m thinking too. But if that’s the case, is there any risk of the whole thing healing crooked?

So, they finally pulled out those little threads; it was pretty painful, though nothing too catastrophic, I suppose.
My nose is still a bit tender from all the poking and cleaning and getting my bloodwork sorted—it feels slightly swollen on the inside—but honestly, I’m feeling quite alright overall.
The doctor gave me the all-clear, too. In fact, I actually caught a whiff of something unpleasant on the bus today, which is a huge change considering I could barely smell a thing before this.🙂
