Hi everyone—I know this is a bit of a tangent, but I figured it was better to ask here rather than cluttering things up by starting a whole new thread.
So, about two weeks ago, I was playing basketball and some guy absolutely leveled me—he came in hard with his hip right into my nose, putting his full weight behind it. It was incredibly painful at the moment, and my eyes were stinging like crazy, but since I didn't really think much of it at the time and just moved on, I'm only now noticing something off. Looking at a photo of myself, my nose definitely looks different—it's got this slight curve to it now. Is there any chance it’s actually broken? It doesn't really hurt anymore, but when I touch it, I can feel something hard where it shouldn't be.

Hey!
Can someone who actually knows what's up tell me how long the waitlist is for surgery at Glumicica?
Thanks

From what I've heard, there aren't any openings until July.

Carol Cox55 said:Hi everyone—I’ve honestly hated my nose since I was a teenager. I’ve always wanted to get surgery, but I kept putting it off, hoping I might just grow out of the complex—but here I am at 24, finishing up college, and nothing has changed.
I’m curious to hear from anyone who has actually gone through with it—what was the reaction from those around you? And more importantly, how do you handle the comments about getting a nose job?
Right now, the anxiety is really getting to me; I have this nagging feeling that all my friends and acquaintances might judge me...👎

That is exactly what has been weighing on me too—honestly, it still does. I’ve struggled with my nose for ages, but I never quite found the courage to do anything because I was so worried about what people would think—especially my parents. In short, I just needed someone to give me that little push of encouragement. Now that I’m 27, I decided to play it smart by framing it as a medical issue, and it actually worked! It turns out I have a deviated septum that’s making breathing difficult, so my doctor agreed that we should fix both the functional issue and the aesthetic side of things. My appointment isn't until October, though. For now, I’m sticking to the story that it’s strictly for health reasons—though, I have to admit, I feel a bit embarrassed knowing people will notice the change. I mentioned to my husband that the doctor suggested fixing the septum, and he just laughed and said, "What septum?" haha. On top of that, I’m a little nervous because my doctor hasn't given me much detail about the actual procedure itself; he just told me to run some tests and confirm everything a few days before the surgery, and that's it.

So, I’m heading in this Monday to have some nasal packing removed. My nose is completely blocked up—it feels like there's an endless supply of congestion and blood stuck in there, even though I've been trying to clear it out with those nasal sprays. Honestly, I'm starting to get a little anxious about the whole thing. Does anyone know if the removal process actually hurts? The tampons they put in weren't painful at all, but now I'm just sitting here feeling a bit apprehensive about what comes next.

I ended up waiting two and a half months. I could've done it in a month and a half, but the schedule didn't work for me, so I just took the next available slot.

Honestly, I didn't even realize they had to pull out packing material 🤦 I thought it was just the tampons! 😬

Where did you have your surgery done?

It was a septoplasty to fix a deviation, and apparently they have to take those out—honestly, it’s getting a bit frustrating because I haven't noticed any actual improvement in my breathing yet 😢 though I suppose things might finally start looking up once they remove everything

Anything is possible, but honestly, only a doctor can tell you for sure after a proper exam.

If I were you, I'd try to find someone as far away from Dr. Davor Đepine as possible because, man, I have never met a more arrogant doctor in my life. He won't give you any actual answers; he'll probably just kick you out of his office before you can even finish your sentence.

Hmm—I'm not quite seeing how my previous post relates to what you just said?

There’s just so much connected to this that they’re actively dodging the whole thing, and they definitely aren't going to be looking to him for any kind of review.

Hey everyone! This forum has been a massive help for me when it came to understanding the surgical process and what recovery actually looks like, so I figured I’d share my own experience in case anyone else is going through this. About two years ago, I had nose surgery with Dr. Kalodjera, an ENT. To put it bluntly, he completely ruined the look of my nose, and even worse, he wrecked my breathing—I literally couldn't breathe through one nostril at all. Fast forward to three months ago, and I finally saw Glumicica. Honestly, the man is nothing short of fantastic. He gave me a beautiful nose, and more importantly, I can actually breathe normally now. On top of being a genuinely pleasant person to deal with, the whole experience was totally painless, and the results are just incredible. For the first time, I have a nose that actually fits my face. I'm not sure what else there is to say, but if anyone has specific questions about my experience with either of these two doctors, feel free to ask. As for any other surgeons, I really wouldn't know.

Thinking about getting some cosmetic surgery soon, so I’ve got a few questions. Has anyone here actually dealt with a broken bone during a procedure? What was that experience like for you? How bad is the recovery process?
thanks 🙂

I’ve had my nose broken before. I actually went under the knife three months ago to fix it. At first, I honestly thought it was still crooked. My surgeon and I even discussed the possibility of a redo... but then it finally straightened itself out over time, and I'm actually really happy with the result.
As for getting stitches removed, they took mine out. Just 3 pieces.

Also, regarding getting the stitches pulled—they already took mine out. Just 3 of them.

btw, did you deal with insane pain? thanks
