To everyone who sent me those massive messages about Glusac—I’m currently without Wi-Fi. I’ll get back to you once I can, because messing around with mobile data and tethering is seriously driving me up the wall. Just so we’re clear, I’m not being a bitch or ignoring you... I know exactly how it feels when you're staring down a million questions at once. 😳

It’s because you can't just grab it with tweezers when it’s completely fused to the nasal mucosa. You have to separate it first. I don't know how to explain this visually, but it’s like using a toothpick to slowly peel a mass away from the lining—almost like you're trying to surgically excise a lump from your nose. Once you've detached enough of one side so it isn't stuck to the membrane anymore, then you can grab that section with the tweezers and, out you go!
🙂I usually do it standing up normally, and then you just take a forceful breath through your nose to pull everything deep into the sinuses.

I don't really get it. I was breathing perfectly fine today, especially after cleaning everything up... But then I started cleaning again and now there's a little bit of bleeding, and my right nostril is clogged up again, even though the left one is working just fine. It doesn't make any sense to me. I guess I might be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. How am I supposed to fix this? 😢

I'm lost. Am I doing something wrong? How do I fix this?? 😢

Maybe the bleeding is because you were being too rough with the cleaning?
Don't freak out. It's totally normal for your nose to feel stuffed up—everything is still swollen. You probably dealt with one side clogging up even before the surgery (at least I did). Just hang in there. 😉

First things first, you really need to figure out what exactly triggers your allergies. I'm talking everything—food, pets, even those weirdly soft stuffed animals that women seem to love so much. Get the full list sorted before anything goes sideways. 😁Clothing, weeds, grass, wormwood... honestly, it’s all just noise. One doctor told me there could be like a thousand different reasons why your nasal lining gets inflamed. Everyone’s body is wired differently, so you really have to play detective yourself to figure out what’s actually triggering the blockage. It’s the same deal with me—I get one or two crusty bits and then a little bit of bleeding. Just one of those things, I guess.

So... does anyone actually have some real-world experience with Dr. Miljenko Kovacic? I’ve been doing some digging, but honestly, everything I find is a total dead end. Word on the street is that he’s not exactly great, but when I actually sat down and talked to him, he seemed like a genuine workaholic who actually gives a damn about what he does. Now I’m stuck in this weird limbo, second-guessing everything. I'm low-key stressing that I might end up being the next one facing a massive audit because of this.

feralhound18 said:Alright, give me the list of names—who’s actually cool and who’s a total disaster?
Aside from that doctor who can't seem to get anything right, this other guy is actually Miljenko Kovacic.😉
I've heard two names recommended—Dr. Mladina over in Charlotte and Esad Avdagić up in the Holy Spirit area.
Does anyone actually know anything about them?
And then there's also the chief of staff, Dr. Munitic, over at Mercury.

casualbison3 said:Hmhmm... I wouldn't want to let you down, but mine definitely dropped quite a bit. When I first took the cast off, it was incredibly, incredibly, incredibly bulbous—almost pig-like (if you know what I mean). Within a few weeks, it settled down (sort of stretched out), even though it stayed a little bulbous. I'm not sure how much that helps you. 🤷

Did you only have the tip operated on, or more? I’m really hoping that since only my tip was worked on, the whole nose won't be too swollen, so maybe the tip won't drop as much once the swelling finally subsides... it would look ideal (once the swelling is gone, obviously)... hopefully it won't, especially since that's exactly how we agreed it should look..
I know I sound ridiculous.. but this waiting game is seriously tough! 🙂

Honestly, you aren't doing anything wrong at all. I think this is actually quite normal; it might take a few days where things clog up and then clear up again while the mucosa heals and fully clears out..

Everything mentioned here is true, but Zgaljardic performs the open technique for everyone (a girl was asking about him), so I honestly don't get why 🤷 I mean, surely it can't be that everyone is some kind of difficult case for him 😉 Recovery takes longer with the open technique because that swelling can linger for anywhere from a year to three years, whereas with the closed technique, you're looking at 6 to 12 months. But honestly, if an open approach means a better result, it's totally worth it rather than going closed and having to deal with revisions later. ☕
Kimberly Hughes17 said:The technique the doctor chooses depends entirely on your specific issue—at least, that's how it should work. Nowadays, most corrections are done using the closed technique, which is super !! since it doesn't leave a scar, but if you have issues with the tip of your nose, then the open technique is definitely your best bet because it gives them full control over all the nasal structures... Personally, I think the recovery is more or less the same... maybe even slightly longer with the closed technique because the internal structures in the nose get more "traumatized," so it takes a bit more time for that swelling to go down..

I can breathe super well now through the nostril I couldn't use before, but I'm still having trouble breathing through the one I never had issues with, and it's already been a whole month 😕

So he’s the one performing the surgery—the guy you actually agreed on? Honestly, all that talk about using someone else is just nonsense used to make you look like an easy target. They aren't really that clueless, are they? 🤷 The technique itself depends entirely on the shape of your nose and how complicated the procedure turns out to be. Personally, I’m also terrified of scarring—but if a cut is necessary, then let them cut. 🤣
Karen Long35 said:Thanks so much, you little vixen! 🙂

Which hospital were you at? I was almost considering Mayo Clinic... but I totally panicked when I heard the rumor that you agree on a surgeon but then some intern ends up doing the actual work. Or something like that. I mean, credit to them—they have to practice somewhere—but if it wasn't my face, maybe I'd let them take a shot, but not like this...🤦

As for the technique, I don't know... what matters to me is that the result is perfect, regardless of the pain. But here's the thing—is a specific technique easier for them? How much does it depend on the patient's nose shape, and how much does the recovery time change based on which method they use?!?!?!🤷 And still more😕 questions

I know I sound ridiculous.. but this waiting game is brutal 🙂

I totally get it—I was in the exact same boat. 😁

Nah, I had the tip refined, narrowed the bridge, and shaved down the hump.

Can I pay for nose surgery in installments, and if so, what's the maximum number of payments allowed?

I believe most private clinics offer installment plans ranging from 12 months up to 24, or even longer if you need it. A close friend of mine actually opted for a payment plan where she was paying roughly $67 per month, though I'm not entirely sure what the total duration of her agreement was.

Hey everyone..

Has anyone here actually seen Dr. Munitic, or does anyone know what people's experiences have been like with him??
So, I heard from this one girl that she was super happy with him, and apparently a few of her friends were too.. but a long time ago, I almost went to see him and my GP was like... don't bother going to him.. ughhhhh

Does anyone have any intel on Dr. Virag from Dubrava KB? There isn't much written about him online, but I've heard he's a good man.

I finally had the cast removed from my nose today... To be honest, it still looks quite long and wide, especially since the tip seems to droop slightly at the front😢 while looking a bit lifted from the profile view. I'm just not sure yet... I'm really just holding onto hope that everything will transform once all this swelling finally goes down!🤷

I'm really hoping everything turns out alright 🙂 I actually tried reducing my nasal tip too, but my nose still looks long—and now it feels even wider than before... 🙂 Who did you have your surgery with?

Aside from getting rid of that hump, you won't see an immediate shift in your nose shape, so there is no need to panic. Just be patient and give it a few months for the swelling to subside.

Please help—or just share your experience if you have one!
Did anyone else find that their nasal side bones widened out about a month or two after surgery on the nasal pyramid and septum? You know, kind of like how it looks on Black people?
