I agree with those projections for Yannick Cherenfant 😉, they look pretty solid. I’m not exactly a fan of his, though I doubt he’d care much for me either.
Got the snacks ready, ESPN is on TV, and we're heading out to cheer before Boozer starts.
I was reading something up and missed the first quarter for Detroit, I have to admit. I opened nba.com with a bit of dread since this week has been rough for me, but this 37-14 start actually looks great for my parlay 😁

edit: shifted to 3-3 on shots, one guy at the line, but two buckets off some messy loose balls—doesn't matter, this still hits.

edit2: It's 4-4 now, 8 points at the end of the first, honestly can't ask for more. Rose isn't feeling it and is forcing too many plays.

edit3: Actually 4-5, no idea where I got that from. 🤷 I probably just miscounted.

Sometimes an overtime period actually does you a favor. I remember one time I had the Deron over, and he was just half a basket away from hitting it. In overtime, he didn't even take a shot.😂

I just noticed on the previous page that Danny Granger was considered the "safest" bet. That’s a shame. It looks like a lot of tickets were losers. Only Joshua Gonzalez33 is still standing. I’m still holding onto hope, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

With that, I’m certain I called it. But now, when I remember how they once fouled him—one time intentionally and one time by accident—I immediately feel a sense of dread. 🤣

Regarding Rose, I'm hoping for a blowout, and DJ isn't bad on defense either. For Ellis, since Stephen Curry is moving back into the starting five and he averages around 22. Boozer because they're missing Luol Deng and Rip Hamilton, and Utah is terrible at defending the four. Aldridge because the Wizards don't defend the four very well; if he could drop 22 against Kevin Garnett, he can definitely do it against a weak Washington squad. Plus, this looks like a 200+ point game.

-The old fox has been leaning way more into his assist numbers lately rather than hunting for buckets, and playing at home recently he’s barely taking more than 7 or 8 shots; he’s only cleared this line twice in his last 12 outings.☕

-We've heard it a million times already, he is such a beast at home, usually dropping around 20 points in front of his own fans. He wasn't exactly lighting it up last game going 1-for-8, but I'm not shocked given how the Lakers defend; I think he's due for an over today.
Russell Westbrook over 22.5 at 1.85
-An incredible player who can drop 30 whenever the mood strikes him. My only fear is them pulling him if there's a massive blowout, but I'm taking him because the line is just too low.
Dirk Nowitzki over 20.5 at 1.70
-He hasn't been much of anything the last two games, both hitting the under, mostly because he was taking 5 fewer shots than usual. He needs to redeem himself today because the team is in a total tailspin—I think they're looking at four straight road losses if he doesn't step up. Who else is gonna do it?
Derrick Rose over 22.5 at 1.85
-Everything I just said about Boozer applies to him too.
Jeremy Lin over 17.5 at 1.85
-With Stephen Curry sidelined, both him and Monta Ellis are the logical go-to guys, so I'm expecting 15+ shots; the line feels way too thin given he's averaging 18.9 points per game.
Luis Scola over 15.5 at 1.85
-Kyle Lowry is hurt and Andre Martin is in zero form, so Luis is going to have to carry the load. This line is basically just his average from the last 10 games or so.
Ricky Rubio under 11.5 at 1.85
-This is way too generous for him considering his recent performances where his shooting was abysmal, around 30%, and he even picked up a little injury in the last one, so he won't be forcing things if he even plays at all.

-Look, after that injury, he's just not the same Melo we know, right? Over his last 8 games, he's averaging about 18.5 points, and honestly, with how solid Andre Iguodala's defense is looking, I really don't see him breaking through easily.
Kevin Garnett over 13.5
-I’m playing this purely on gut feeling because that margin looks juicy, plus it seems like Garnett sat out the last couple of games just to gear up for his biggest "rival," you know? He needs to prove that 6-for-23 performance against the Lakers was just a total fluke.
Blake Griffin over 21.5
-In the two matchups we've had this year, he dropped 21 and 22 points against the Golden State Warriors, and besides that, he's been consistently hitting the over when he's playing at home.
Kobe Bryant over 28.5
-Do I even need to talk about him? Man, the guy can just chuck 30 shots in a single game if he feels like it! With that kind of volume and the massive energy this matchup brings, I’m expecting him to hit 30+. He's cleared this over five times in his last six games!
Marc Gasol over 15.5
-He is absolutely cooking lately. In his last five games, he's been hitting the over, averaging 18 points a night with about 50% shooting. This season against the Nuggets, he put up 20 and 16. Hard to bet against that.

Amar'e Stoudemire under 18.5
-Even though he's stepped up his game over the last three outings, I still think he's going to struggle to find his rhythm, much like Melo. And let's not forget, having Chandler back in the mix makes things a lot tougher for him.
Paul Pierce over 18.5
-Same logic applies here as it did with Kobe—he's the heart and soul of Boston, and his form is clearly trending upward again.
Sessions over 10.5
-I haven't had many chances to track him closely so far, but statistically speaking, he's a regular over-performer at home, so I figured I'd take a shot.
Danny Granger over 18.5
-He's been clearing this line in his most recent games, and this year against Orlando, he went 19, 19, and 16. Why wouldn't he do it again?
Greivis Vasquez over 17.5
-He plays great against the heavy hitters, and I read somewhere that Tyreke Evans is struggling against Atlanta's style, so I'm expecting both Vasquez and DeMarcus Cousins to have big nights today.
Monta Ellis over 22.5
-With Stephen Curry sidelined due to another injury, there's going to be a huge vacuum of shots, and Ellis is definitely going to be hunting for about 20 attempts.
Jordan Smith over 19.5
-He's really grown into a primary leader for this squad since Joe Johnson dealt with those injury issues. He's cleared the over in four of his last five games.

Hedo Turkoglu got slapped with a one-game suspension without pay because he got a little too handsy with a ref during the Orlando vs Chicago game this past Thursday.
If he decides not to challenge the call, Turkoglu is going to be sitting on the sidelines for the Magic game against the Pacers this Sunday.

On top of that, Jason Richardson is dealing with an ankle issue, so he’s out for Sunday, and coach Stan Van Gundy mentioned he probably won't see any action on Tuesday or Wednesday either.

He put up 24 and 27 points in his last two matchups against Indiana, so he's definitely been heating up lately. 🤔

I’ve gone through the odds, and I have to say, I'm not exactly thrilled with what I see.
I did find one potential play—Cleveland vs Houston over 195.
Looking at the recent stretch, the Rockets are averaging about 102 points per game, while Cleveland is sitting at 97.
They both give up a fair amount of points too; Houston allows 97 and Cleveland allows 98 over the course of the season.
Hehe, so that’s how they landed on this margin.
It looks like they might have miscalculated just a bit.😁

As for Jordan Smith, I'm against everyone on that; it seems like a decent idea, but I have my doubts.

Stephen Curry (mild right ankle sprain) might have even suited up for Saturday's matchup if things had gone differently, based on what coach Mark Jackson was saying, and he’s fully expecting Curry to play on Sunday. 🤷
