aaaaa, I'm still watching the Clippers—honestly, I can't decide if I should call a counter on Phoenix... it's a total toss-up right now.

Does Jennings really have to go and decide to hit the over 🙂 just today?

Thanks, Miami 🙄

Giving me hope after being down big, then hitting +4 and holding it until the end, only to have this happen 😢

Pau Gasol is sitting right at 15 points—I've got him at 16.5 for the line. It’s only the second day in a row that my gut feeling is getting absolutely wrecked by these margins. 🤦

Man, I’m kind of bracing myself for Magic Johnson to sit this one out tonight, and honestly, Russell Westbrook's status is looking pretty shaky too. If it turns out we're just missing Magic, I guess you'd almost have to put your money on Oklahoma City Thunder, especially since the Atlanta Hawks back-to-back schedule is such a grind. I might just go poke around some other sports news for a bit while I wait for more updates to trickle in.

For today, I’m just feeling John Wall over 17.5 points and a solid win for the Indiana Pacers

By the way, I noticed everyone’s been hunting for Twitter handles lately, but personally, I always just stick to hoopshype.com

http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html

Basically, you get all those reporters right there who scoop up news straight from the coaches—so it's mostly that inside info coming directly from within the teams. If you look at the list of all the NBA teams on the right side of the page, you can just click on whichever one you're interested in, and it'll pull up most of the latest buzz surrounding that specific club.☕

Out of 11 bets—3 on player points, 3 on total game points, and 5 on team totals—where SS moved the lines to 1.70/2.00 yesterday, 10 of them hit at the higher odds 🙂

So, I'm following along—what's your take on playing it safe with a small or medium stake?

Tim Duncan went under 🙂,
Well, I put him on two different tickets, and once again, it turns out you really shouldn't bet on the exact same outcome twice 🙂

The month has barely started and I've somehow managed to cut my bankroll in half already! If by some miracle my soccer parlay hits today, I might actually fix things up a bit, which would hopefully make for some nice NBA action tonight 👏

...Carmelo Anthony over again. I’ve got him at my local spot with a -16.5 spread...
Looks like there's a heavy lean on John Wall tonight... a lot of sportsbooks don't even have Russell Westbrook on the board...🤷
Maybe a parlay with Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook over, plus an Oklahoma City Thunder double chance...🤷
Just gonna wait for tip-off...

Al Jamison over

Look, the man has cleared this line 10 times in his last 13 games—so yeah, I’m fully expecting him to smash it again tonight against a Washington Wizards defense that is basically a sieve... seriously, they can't stop anyone. He's been averaging 21.4 points over that last 13-game stretch, too. And get this—last night against the Chicago Bulls, he went over this line in just 30 minutes of action, which is actually less than his usual runtime... crazy stuff. Plus, Cleveland's main guy, Kyrie Irving, is dealing with something and it's a total toss-up if he even suits up. Even if he does play, he probably won't be at 100%, which means all that scoring pressure is just gonna land right back on Al Jamison's shoulders...

I'm telling you right now, if you aren't looking at Batum over 14.5 points, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously, look at the odds—1.85! It’s practically sitting there begging to be taken! Why would anyone pass on this when the momentum is clearly shifting his way? I mean, just think about it for a second, does it make any sense to bet against him right now? Not a chance! I’m feeling it in my gut, man, it's a lock!
Man, I’m telling you right now, if you aren't looking at Al Jamison over 17.5 points tonight, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously, look at the matchup! Are we really going to sit here and pretend he isn't primed to absolutely tear it up? I've been staring at these numbers and it just screams to me—it's such a steal at 1.85! Why would anyone pass on this? It feels like a total no-brainer, honestly. I'm feeling it in my gut, man, he's gonna go off!
I’m telling you right now, if you aren't looking at the New Orleans Pelicans going over 87.5 points, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously, are you just watching the games to fall asleep? Because I am seeing all the signs, all the momentum, and honestly, the odds at 1.85 are just sitting there practically begging someone to take them! It feels like such a lock, you know? Like, how can anyone look at this matchup and think they won't hit that number? It’s almost insulting to suggest otherwise! Just get on board already!
Man, I’m telling you right now, if you aren't looking at Monroe over 16.5 points, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously, the odds are sitting at 1.85 and it feels like such a gift, you know what I mean? It’s one of those plays that just screams at you to take it! Why would anyone pass this up when he's playing with this much energy lately? I don't know, maybe some people just like losing money, but I'm riding with him on this one!
Kevin Durant over 28.5 points at 1.85? Are you kidding me right now?! You seriously think he’s hitting that mark? I mean, look, we all know the guy can go absolutely nuclear whenever he feels like it, but asking for nearly 30 is a massive ask, isn't it? Is he really going to carry the load like that tonight? I don't know, man, I just don't know! It feels like such a gamble, even if the odds look tempting on paper. Who knows what kind of defense they're going to throw at him? It's a total toss-up!

I don't even know where to begin with this absolute disaster of a situation! Are we seriously just going to sit here and pretend everything is fine when it clearly isn't? It's like everyone involved just decided to take a vacation right when things started getting heavy! How does that even happen? You’d think someone, anyone, would have stepped up to fix this mess by now, but no, it's just total chaos! Honestly, I'm losing my mind just thinking about it!

Carmelo Anthony over 16.5 points at 1.85? Are you kidding me right now?! I mean, seriously, look at the odds! You really think he isn't going to clear that bar tonight? It feels like such a steal, honestly, like we're just handing money away if we don't take this. I don't know, maybe I'm just seeing red because I've been watching these games all week, but how can anyone doubt his scoring output lately? He’s got that rhythm, you know? That flow where everything just clicks and suddenly he's dropping buckets left and right. Is there any reason to bet against him? I really don't see one! Let's go!
Man, I’m telling you right now, if you aren't looking at Russell Westbrook over 23.5 points tonight, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously, are we just going to ignore the energy he brings every single time he steps on that floor? It’s honestly wild to me how people doubt him, like, do you even watch the games or are you just staring at the ceiling? He’s got that motor that just never quits, and when he gets rolling, there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop him! I'm calling it—he clears that line easily. Just get on board already!
Man, I am telling you right now, if you aren't looking at Dirk Nowitzki over 20.5 points, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously, look at the odds—1.85—that is basically a gift wrapped on a silver platter! How can anyone sit there and doubt he’s going to hit that number? He's got the rhythm, he's got the touch, and honestly, who is actually going to stop him tonight? It feels like such a no-brainer that it's almost frustrating to even talk about, but here we are! You really think someone else is stepping up to shut him down like that? I don't think so!
I’m telling you right now, if you aren't taking the Under 24.5, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously! It’s such a lock at 1.85, it's almost insulting that anyone would pass on this. I mean, look at the matchup, look at the pace—does anyone actually think they're going to clear that number? I don't think so! You've got to follow the logic here, people! Why would you risk your hard-earned cash on the Over when the math is screaming at you to take the Under? It's a total gift! Just grab it and go!
Man, I’m telling you right now, if you aren't looking at Granger over 18.5 points, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously! The odds are sitting at 1.85, and honestly, it feels like such a steal that it's almost insulting. You look at the matchup and just think, how could he *not* hit that number? Is anyone else seeing this? It’s practically screaming at us! I don't know, maybe I'm just fired up today, but I feel like this is one of those plays where you just have to bite. Why would you pass this up? Just get on board already!
That’s all I've got for today!

So, I ended up pulling the trigger on a single bet: John Wall over 18.5 points in the hattrick at 1.85 odds with a standard stake.

First off, I went ahead and placed some bets without even reading your takes. I put money on John Wall and Al Jamison, along with a few other random hunches that are probably just nonsense.
It actually worried me that Russell Westbrook wasn't mentioned as a player to watch, so I skipped the Oklahoma City Thunder spread. It felt like a very logical pick, really, but... well, you know how it goes.

Roger Phillips said:Al Jamison over

He’s cleared this line in 10 of his last 13 games, so I suppose it's reasonable to expect him to do it again tonight against a Washington Wizards defense that isn't exactly elite. He's been averaging 21.4 points over those last 13 outings. Last night against the Chicago Bulls, he cleared the line in just 30 minutes—which is actually less than his usual playing time. Plus, since Kyrie Irving is dealing with an illness and his status is questionable, if he does play, he likely won't be at 100%. That just puts even more pressure on Al Jamison to carry the load.
🤷

Rather than analyzing the picks themselves, I think I'll analyze this specific post instead. I hope my colleague doesn't take offense; I mean no harm.
I picked this one because it perfectly summarizes the core issue here:

I ended up betting on Al Jamison myself, and the worst part is, everyone is following suit. (I think a few naive souls also took Zidarić; it's pretty obvious there's plenty of ammunition to support his over).
Logic seems to point us in this direction.
The post is straightforward, well-reasoned, and everything feels quite logical. It's basically saying: "Here, take this, play it, the money is sitting right there."
But we all know that logic has very little to do with gambling.
Then nighttime rolls around, Al Jamison goes nowhere, and by morning, we're all left crying and performing the walk of shame.

The real question is: WHO HAS THE GUTS TO SINGLE OUT THE UNDER? (The caps are just for emphasis, I'm not shouting)

Looks like everyone is betting heavy on John Wall tonight... most sportsbooks don't even have Russell Westbrook listed...🤷
Maybe a parlay with Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook over, plus an X2 on Oklahoma City...🤷
We'll see what happens tonight...

"...Thunder coach Scott Brooks says Russell Westbrook (sprained ankle) is a game-time decision. about 21 minutes ago..."

...That kind of messes up the plan, but if it stays like this, I'm just sticking with Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant, maybe toss in the Indiana Pacers...
