Kyrie Irving will be a game-time decision for Friday's matchup with the Chicago Bulls.

The top overall pick from last year's draft skipped this morning's shootaround after coming down with an illness.

Hey Decki, you better stay sharp and keep a close eye on this development....
If he ends up sitting out, we might even see a chance to take the Chicago Bulls at -14.

I was thinking Chicago, San Antonio at -7.5, and LeBron over 🙂

Anyone still awake...

It looks like Ray Allen is going to be sidelined because of some kind of virus...
We should probably hang tight until the game wraps up... there are just some strange rumors flying around right now...
You truly never know who might end up sitting out at the last minute.

Hey...

Where are you getting this news?

I follow all injury updates on Twitter. It's saying the same thing about Allen.
Is there a specific group or account on Twitter that tracks injuries for all teams?
The way I do it is by searching "Ray Allen out" on Twitter to see if he's actually sidelined. But it would be way easier if there was just one central feed for player/team updates. There has to be one, I just haven't found it yet.😁

I am feeling great about the Nets +6.5 spread, especially now that we know Ray Allen isn't playing. That is a massive advantage. 🙂

The Nets are on a serious upward trajectory. Deron is absolutely tearing it up—betting sites won't even list him because they're terrified of the odds. With Brook Lopez back in the rotation, he completely dominated against the Mavericks. Besides, the Nets already handled the Mavericks in their last matchup:

Lopez's third game back since missing the first half of the season recovering from foot surgery was his best effort. The 7-footer made 17 of 28 shots for 38 points - one shy of his career high - in Tuesday's 93-92 win at Dallas.

On the other hand, the Boston Celtics are seriously considering a complete roster overhaul. Rumors are swirling that the Boston front office is looking to shop for Rodney, Chris Paul, and Kevin Garnett. These whispers are starting to impact certain individuals whose names are being tossed around in major cities across the USA.

The Nets are going to steamroll them like a bunch of amateurs. 🙂

Kyrie Irving is officially OUT!

I was scrolling through the news feed over at ESPN, and they have this live ticker window where updates from reporters and coaches just cycle through non-stop... that's how I caught the news.

Where are you even getting this news?

I track all injury news on Twitter. That’s also how I find out about Ray Allen.
But is there some specific group or account on Twitter that updates injuries for every single team?
The way I do it is by typing things like "Ray Allen out" into the search bar to see if it's legit. But it would be so much more practical if there was just one central hub for updates on all players and all teams, right? Surely something exists, I just haven't found where...😁

In principle, every team has its own dedicated beat reporter. These guys hang around the tunnels before games and move through those inner circles; they pick up tips from coaching staff about who's actually playing, who's sitting out, or who's dealing with some random nagging injury.

Take the Chicago Bulls, for example:

http://twitter.com/#!/ESPN

It would be great if someone could drop a link to a place that tracks everything in one spot—not just some official CBS injury report, but actual, real-time info. 🙂

EDIT: Thanks Jeremy Kelly3, I already checked the Bulls fan outlook earlier; they should handle things easily tonight.🙂

It’s quite frustrating when scheduling changes occur less than 24 hours before tip-off...
When things just keep happening one after another...
For instance, today we have Ray Allen and Kyrie Irving sidelined due to illness....
Then there was the situation where Chris Bosh had to deal with a death in the family...

There could easily be a thousand different reasons for these disruptions...
Word is that even Kobe Bryant missed a shooting practice to visit a doctor, though I suspect he will still suit up, yet anything is possible at this point.

EDIT:

As expected, Nen and Gallinari are out for the Nuggets. Rudy Fernandez is out as well. Rockets have to keep Faried OFF boards.

Yeah. There’s definitely something like that on Twitter. I'll try to track it down.☕

Based on the latest news, the plays should be:

Chicago to win at 1.30, or the boosted 2/2 option at 1.55.

Pair that with the Brooklyn Nets + 12.5 at 1.30.

Or even Chicago -8.5

paired with

Brooklyn Nets + 6.5.

A Bulls win seems inevitable. Without Varej and Kyrie Irving, the Cavaliers are basically just playing for damage control to avoid a blowout.

My only concern is whether the Celtics will decide to go wild instead.
A realistic line for Chicago in this scenario should be right around 1.10 - 1.15.

Hmm.

The Rockets are a clear value bet here, even if the Nuggets have some decent depth on their bench.☕

Haven't checked the latest updates... I assume the Rockets are running with a full roster?

The Rockets are looking fully loaded!
If nothing goes sideways...

As soon as I saw the news, I placed a little parlay.

Nets +6
Bulls -8

We shall see...

I am also eyeing Houston -3 ...
Because those injuries are just too much to ignore.

Here is a helpful link if you are interested.
It covers how the NBA plays in America... specifically what people are thinking... so you can see the percentage of fans betting on specific teams.
It focuses on the point spreads... since Americans seem to have a bit of an obsession with them.

EDIT:

That is all from me, everyone. I am heading to bed.
I hope we can make the most of this new injury news!
Good luck.

The Brooklyn Nets are shooting zero percent from three right now.

I had a feeling things were going to go south for them.
With all these injury issues, Boston is absolutely running circles around them.

Glad they just gave me another reason to remember why this team isn't a serious contender... ☕

It’s honestly frustrating. The last time I checked the score, we were holding a comfortable six-point lead, and now, suddenly, we're down by twenty.

A smooth victory for the Celtics ☕

Good grief, the Mavericks are struggling. 🤦 Losing to the Hornets without Ariza in the lineup... 🤷

zomfg, the Mavericks are just straight up terrible right now.🤦 I mean, losing to the Hornets when they don't even have Ariza in the lineup? Seriously? 🤷

I mean, hey, maybe there's still a comeback coming.

One 🤦 for me.

I honestly figured the combination of the Celtics struggling with their form and the Nets dealing with those injuries would lead to a real grind, maybe even a nail-biter. Instead, we get a complete blowout.

At least the Bulls handle stuff like this routinely, so there's a small silver lining in that.

I mean, I don't know, I'm just guessing here... 🙄😢

Well, looking at those decisions in the final two minutes, they definitely seem more experienced. I'm really hoping we get some luck here, maybe something like what happened against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Honestly, nothing is certain, but if the LA Clippers can pull through, everything will be fine.
