Arthur Hill2 said:I think the Chicago Bulls should take the Clippers tonight. The LA Clippers still haven't quite found their rhythm, and their defense looks way too disorganized right now.

The matchup against Blake Griffin should also go the Bulls' way, especially since he'll be guarded defensively by a struggling Carlos Boozer.

4w/4l ; +6.60 units; ROI: 21.29%

Oklahoma vs. Phoenix
Pick: Oklahoma -11.5

Odds: 1.935

Unit: 5/10

Oklahoma is simply the superior team compared to Phoenix—on both ends of the floor. They aren't title contenders for no reason. The roster features two elite scorers: Kevin Durant, who is averaging north of 30 PPG this season with absurd efficiency, and James Harden, a guy coming off the bench who is a lock for Sixth Man of the Year contention. Then there’s the unpredictable Westbrook—his game swings wildly between brilliance and pure chaos, so you never quite know which version shows up. To manage his minutes, they'll lean on the veteran Steve Nash, though the Hornets' Jarrett Jack played him so hard last night that Nash might still be feeling it.
The Oklahoma paint is anchored by Serge Ibaka and Perkins—two solid defenders—meaning the Suns are going to run into serious trouble whenever they try to drive inside. Plus, Oklahoma boasts a much deeper bench than Phoenix.

To make matters worse, Phoenix played last night. They pulled off a surprising win against New Orleans, but now they have to face a heavy favorite in Oklahoma on zero rest. The Suns are led by the "old guard," Nash and Hill, aged 37 and 39 respectively; playing back-to-back games at that stage isn't exactly ideal. When those two aren't on the court, Phoenix becomes a significantly weaker squad. Both veterans have seen their minutes dwindle season after season, currently hovering around 26-27 per game. However, as I noted a few weeks back, the Suns' coach indicated that in back-to-back scenarios, Nash and Hill won't see more than 20 minutes—and neither will the rest of the rotation.
Aside from them, the main offensive threats are Warrick and Marcin Gortat, but they won't find much breathing room against a shot-blocking specialist like Ibaka and a physical presence like Perkins. Besides, the Suns' defense hasn't been anything to write home about for years.

I expect a comfortable, double-digit victory for Oklahoma tonight, covering the -11.5 spread.

So, who on earth should we be looking to protect today, specifically when it comes to keeping an eye on Kevin Durant?

Right off the bat, a couple of these caught my eye:

Houston-Atlanta (190.5) (01.01. 01:00) over 1.85
Sacramento-New York (-20.5) (01.01. 02:00) under 1.85

I’m looking at this from both a statistical standpoint and just pure gut feeling.

Regarding Amaro, what really clinches it for me is that he tweaked his ankle during the matchup against the LA Lakers. I’m not going to sit around waiting for the latest injury report because even without that confirmation, the margin here looks incredibly attractive. If he's actually hurt and they don't pull him from the rotation—but he still ends up seeing some minutes regardless—it's a solid play. He's been putting up numbers like 21 (against Boston), 16, and 15 lately.

The NBA slate looks pretty sweet today. I spent some time crunching the numbers this morning, but honestly, I already had two plays locked in my head from last night that I think have real legs:

1. LA Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets, Over 199.5 total points
2. Kobe Bryant, -27.5+ OVER

Good luck to everyone riding the NBA wave tonight!🙂

DeMar DeRozan over 17.5 at 1.85

stormyseal9 said:Since there aren't any games scheduled for tomorrow, I figure we might as well go all out today and try to knock out two different tickets, right? Why wait when we can get ahead of the game now?🤷

Can we just talk about how insane the numbers are looking lately? I’m seriously eyeing Aaron Gordon to go over 15.5 points tonight, and honestly, who could bet against him right now? He just seems to be playing with such incredible rhythm, doesn't he? It feels like every time he touches the floor, he's just finding ways to make things happen, whether it's through those aggressive drives or just being in the right spot at the right time! Is it just me, or does it feel like he's hovering on the edge of a massive breakout performance every single night? I'm feeling really optimistic about this one!
Can you believe we’re actually looking at Magic Johnson playing under 18.5 points while standing at 6'1"? Isn't it just wild how those numbers look on paper when you really sit down and think about it?
Do you ever just look at the stats and wonder if anyone else is seeing what I'm seeing? I’ve been staring at the projections, and honestly, I really think we should be looking at Millsap to go over 14.5 points! It just feels right, doesn't it? Like, when you consider his current rhythm and how much he's involved lately, isn't it almost a given that he clears that mark? I'm feeling incredibly optimistic about this one!
Is anyone else looking at Nash taking the over on 13.5? I’ve got him sitting at 1.85 right now, and honestly, doesn't it just feel like he's primed to blow past that number? I mean, when you look at how he's been controlling the tempo lately, it makes you wonder if he'll even stop once he hits 14! It seems like such a solid play given his current rhythm, don't you think?
I’m feeling really good about Granger going over 19.5 points today at those 1.85 odds! Honestly, doesn't it just feel like he's due for a massive night where everything finally clicks? I can't help but wonder if we're about to see him absolutely tear it up on the court, because at this rate, wouldn't it be wild if he breezes past that line without breaking a sweat? It feels like such a solid play!
So, looking at the spread for the San Antonio-Utah matchup, we're seeing a line sitting at -13.5, which feels like quite the heavy lift if you ask me! With odds around 1.85, it really makes you wonder if the favorites can actually pull off such a massive margin, doesn't it? It’s one of those games where you just have to sit back and see if the momentum holds up!

I’m really leaning towards Pau Gasol hitting over 17.5 points tonight! Honestly, when you look at how he’s been playing lately, doesn't it just feel like he's due for a massive night? I can't help but wonder if the defense is going to be able to keep up with him once he gets rolling, because once that momentum shifts, it's hard to stop him! It feels like such a solid play to me, don't you think?
Does anyone else feel like Lawson might actually clear that 18.5 line? I’ve been staring at the stats all morning, just wondering if he can really hit that mark! It feels like such a toss-up, doesn't it? I mean, if he gets into a rhythm early on, who knows how high he could go? It would be such an incredible ride to watch him absolutely tear it up like that!
I’m really feeling like DeMar DeRozan is going to clear that 17.5 line tonight, honestly! Does anyone else get that gut feeling when a player is just clicking with the rhythm of the game? I've been watching the stats, and everything seems to be lining up perfectly for him to go over that mark—it feels almost inevitable, doesn't it? I'm staying optimistic and putting my energy behind him for this one!
Is there anyone else out there who thinks Carmelo Anthony is going to blow past that 26.5 mark? I mean, seriously, looking at his stats and how he plays, isn't it just almost certain he'll clear that line? He's got that scoring touch that just seems to find its way home no matter what!
Can you believe Tony Parker actually cleared that 16.5 mark? It’s honestly such an incredible feat when you stop to think about the sheer consistency he brings to the court! Doesn't it just make you wonder how much more he could have done if he had even more breathing room in his schedule? I'm sitting here just thinking about those numbers and feeling so pumped because seeing him hit those kinds of stats is exactly what we all want to see!
So, I was looking at the lines for the San Antonio-Utah game, and honestly, does anyone else feel like the total is just sitting there waiting to be taken? I’m staring at that 194.5 mark, and if you look at the current odds, taking the under at 1.85 feels like such an interesting move, doesn't it? It just seems plausible that we might see a bit of a grind out there instead of a track meet, but who knows! What do you guys think about the pace for this one?
I’m feeling pretty optimistic about Russell Westbrook going over 20.5 points tonight, especially with those odds sitting at 1.85! Honestly, when you look at his energy and how he drives the pace, isn't it almost inevitable that he'll find his way to the rim enough times to clear that mark? I just can't help but wonder if anyone can actually slow him down once he gets into that rhythm, right? It feels like such a solid play to me!

Is there anything more exhilarating than diving headfirst into a 6/7 system, or am I just dreaming out loud here? It’s one of those deep dives that really gets your gears turning, isn't it? I can't help but wonder if anyone else feels that same rush of excitement when trying to map everything out!☕

Is it just a gut feeling you're working with there, or do you actually have some solid arguments to back that up? I'm genuinely curious!

I’ve got this strong feeling that we’re looking at an under here, especially since Russell Westbrook is going to be constantly applying that heavy pressure on them! Honestly, there isn't much anyone can really do against such a mobile, high-energy defense, you know? And since they were just out there grinding through a game yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if the coach gives him a little bit of a reality check regarding his age and conditioning, right? So, I'm thinking he might pivot his whole strategy today and really focus on playing through the assists instead!

Look, it’s better than how they were playing, but calling it "decent" is a stretch 🙂

Miami and Orlando are playing at reasonable times so I can actually grab a bite and get some sleep before morning... when the hell are they going to scrap the NBA schedule? 🙂

Man, this wraps up at 4:30 AM, and yesterday it started at that exact same time.😬

Quote : with Stoudemire questionable due to a sprained left ankle, the Knicks look to get their offense on track and avoid their third straight loss Saturday night when they visit the Sacramento Kings.

In plain English, Carmelo Anthony over 26.5.

Add Golden State Warriors over 93.5 to that, and I'm pretty much set for the year.

Happy New Year to everyone hanging out in this thread.🙂 👋
