Besides Mastodon, maybe—just purely for the nostalgia trip—I'll try to catch Guantanamo School of Medicine. And I’m really crossing my fingers that Nick Cave isn't playing during the Mastodon set, because if he is, that little guy is gonna end up stuck behind me in the front row :-)

Cypress Hill will likely play their final set on the T-Mobile Main stage, while Mastodon stays in the woods. There shouldn't be any overlap—my goal is to see both Grinderman and Mastodon anyway.

So I just saw they added Editors to the Lollapalooza lineup... man, makes me wonder—do you guys think they might swing by the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival again this year, or maybe they’ll end up playing a show at Aquarius like they did last time? 🙂

well, if that's how it works out—hooray! ;-)

Man, if I don't go just for Mastodon and Cypress Hill, then what am I even doing there? 😠

Who knows how the organizers will actually structure the schedule—personally, I think Cypress Hill sounds much more impactful than Grinderman, so I’d expect them to hit the stage around 11 PM. As for the forest stage, Mastodon seems to be the biggest draw based on the current lineup, at least for now.

Based on what we've got so far, Mastodon doesn't belong in the forest at all.😂

On the T-Mobile Main stage you've got TV on the Radio, Grinderman, and Mastodon.😁

Facebook's buzzing about zero day again... might actually happen, who knows.

Day zero... The city council committee for culture just gave a unanimous thumbs up to letting the municipal holding company waive the land fees for the festival site. If the holding actually listens to the council—since they're essentially owned by the city—we might actually see "day zero" happen. We'll see.

And we should have an answer by Monday. Let's just wait and see...

If they find out a month out that the show can still happen, who's on the lineup?

Does that mean they're done announcing new bands for the rest of the dates?

I'm sure they have someone lined up for that opening slot—maybe Prodigy 😁

Either there's no more budget left to sign new acts, or there just aren't any new bands worth announcing... either way, it's all the same to me.

Roger Newman50 said:So either they ran out of cash for new acts, or there aren't any new acts worth announcing. Take your pick.

Look, I get it. The budget for new bands is dead.

Given that, they better have some massive headliner ready for day one if they actually want people to show up to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Given how things look, they really need to book a massive headliner for day one just to make sure people actually show up to the festival.

Like if you were looking at an Alamo Drafthouse scenario.🙄

So, who’s actually footing the bill this year? Whose watered-down beer are we all being forced to drink? 😁

It’s nothing but cheap plastic swill from those shady resellers who serve up the absolute worst beer imaginable while charging the highest prices you've ever seen!

Or Rage Against the Machine... I mean, honestly, I’ll be pretty damn shocked if they aren't tearing up the stage all three days of the festival.

Can I ask a quick question? Maybe this was covered already, but even after digging through the search bar, I can't find anything.

I've got my festival pass... for both days, obviously. But do I need to buy a separate camping pass on top of that? Am I really expected to shell out even more cash? $50If that's how it works, then honestly, I'm beyond disappointed...

Wait, what kind of festivals have you been to where camping was actually free?

I’ve got my festival pass—the full two-day one. Do I need to buy a separate camping pass on top of that, or is it already included? $50 Pay up cash? If that’s really how things are going to work, then I have to say, I’m genuinely disappointed.

If you want to camp out, there's no way around it: you’re going to need both a two-day festival pass and a specific camping pass. There aren't any other options.
