Does anyone happen to know the name of the firm that handles the contract filings over at the service center?

Tyler Doyle said:I honestly can't wrap my head around how my lineup ended up being this wild mix of Cypress Hill, TV on the Radio, and Mastodon. It’s just... I mean, I really didn't see that coming. 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

+1
The first day was alright, I suppose, if you consider it passable, but the second day was an absolute train wreck.
Kudos to the organizers, I guess. 🙏

Good grief, what a massive disappointment. Honestly, if it weren't for AF, this whole thing would have been an absolute train wreck. Actually, maybe it already is, especially now that I'm looking at how incredibly few performers actually showed up. It’s just depressing, really. 😢

A Coachella headliner isn't really a headliner back home in the States, so we're the only ones who deal with that kind of thing here 👍

I just can't
looking at this schedule and that pathetic lineup... there are barely five decent acts on here. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Setting aside who plays when, I'm talking about the festival in general this year.

Honestly, I don't think we'll even see another one next year.

Is there any way to swap a two-day pass for two single-day tickets?😁
The lineup for the second day is honestly pretty mediocre—maybe Toton is okay, but I really don't feel like heading out there for day two.☕

Out of those seven massive names they announced, five of them are playing on day two—honestly, you can only really catch two of them if you want to actually enjoy the music! 👎 😢
I actually shot them an email because this whole Mastodon lineup before Overflow feels totally disjointed... people are saying it just fits the vibe Mastodon is going for, I guess? 🤷

As for the day one headliner, Arcade Fire got the longest slot (2 hours and 15 minutes, which probably means they'll actually play for about an hour and 45 minutes), so that’s not a total letdown, even if it is weird why they aren't closing out the night 🤷

Kevin Chavez3 said:And there is absolutely NOTHING happening on the first day besides maybe AF—I'll probably just show up to the festival for an hour and a half and call it a day 🤣

Well, in that case, just stay home and blast Nicki Minaj instead 🤣

schedule 👎

..day one is Arcade Fire, day two is everything else

... honestly, with those 7 heavy hitters, they could’ve just booked one stage for the whole thing... saved some cash and spared us all the angry emails from haters...

... this year I was planning on just seeing 4 specific bands (then whatever else happened to be playing), but I had a gut feeling even that wouldn't work out... turns out my hunch was right 😢

Worst Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival yet... some other lineup just dropped and I'm over it. Selling my festival pass... DM me if you want it.

urbannomad30 said:I actually sent them an email—this whole Mastodon situation feels completely nonsensical compared to how things were before Overflow—but they're claiming this is just how Mastodon rolls now.🤷

It occurred to me immediately too—that Mastodon isn't exactly thrilled about this. Who knows... anyway, we'll keep going; it should be a good time regardless.🙂

Sent the email, though it didn't turn out quite as much of a hate rant as I originally intended, since at the end of the day you actually want people to read what you have to say rather than just deleting it after an opening "screw you all"... I’m urging everyone else who’s unhappy to send one too, and while it probably won't lead to anything, it doesn't hurt to try, right?

Jessica Young30 said:Respectfully, I'm not sure if you realize that people were buying tickets specifically for the handful of big international acts, not because they were looking to see someone like Luka Belani or Goribor. Because of that, I really don't understand the criteria used for the set times, since it feels like the local regional artists—who most of us find a bit grating anyway and could easily catch at any club in the country without needing the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to be in town—are getting more favorable slots than the headliners who are visiting Washington, D.C. for the very first time, or maybe even their last... Why force fans to choose between seeing Cypress Hill, TV on The Radio, and Mastodon versus Grinderman and The Streets, when you could just move one of those big names to an earlier slot or even the day before so that everyone gets to enjoy the show...

I sent them an email asking about the set times, and here is their full response.

''Dear 6655321,
The lineup and schedule aren't just things we pick on a whim; they are the result of logistical constraints, production capacities, artist requests, tour schedules, and various other factors.
We understand that the audience doesn't have visibility into this since you aren't running a music festival, and we simply can't explain every single detail regarding the logistics, obligations, and requirements involved in finalizing the schedule.
Best regards,
Coachella''
