Casey Long2 said:So, somewhere during Bonnaroo, two guys from the venue staff wandered over to us and handed out exactly two ponchos—there were three of us, mind you, so clearly they aren't exactly handing those out to everyone who asks. I have no idea what we're in for today...

🙄🙄🙄

The sheer incompetence shown by organizers when it comes to prepping for basic weather shifts at Lollapalooza is quite possibly the most pathetic form of amateurism I’ve ever witnessed.
We knew it was going to pour at least ten days in advance—it was practically on the forecast—yet these people acted like they were caught in some unprecedented freak storm. Just total, unprepared amateurs.
And then, to top it all off, they hand out two rain ponchos to a group of three. 🤦

Maria Collins said:I’d love to wear tights too, but I suspect once the crowd descends, it'll just be the same mess it was yesterday.

When it comes to Lollapalooza events mixed with mud, the only thing that matters is being comfortable enough to actually enjoy the music. I'm in total practical mode—I always think about those girls in goth sticks or people in combat boots at Metallica 😂 who end up literally waist-deep in sludge. So, yeah, maybe I'll just rock fishing boots and a heavy-duty trash bag instead of a raincoat. 😁

It’s not like I’m stressed about wearing my leopard print boots, but honestly, I don't care. I know the mud isn't going anywhere today, and probably not tomorrow either, since everyone is just going to stomp all over it again.

And regarding the whole raincoat situation? Shame on them. Verizon did this perfectly two years ago; they handed them out like candy, giving people two each just so they could pass them along.
I don't get why they can't just stock up on raincoats, even if they were bright pink T-Mobile pink.
Just to be spiteful, I'll be wearing my old Verizon raincoat. ☕😁

I had an absolute blast (though honestly, TBF was just painfully dull)
. At 🙏 😁
, I was practically overwhelmed with joy—I might have even shed a tear or two...
. As for the mud, I’m still dealing with the aftermath; I was literally scrubbing it out of my ears today 😬

Chance the Rapper was absolutely killing it. 👍 🙏

Honestly, I have zero respect for the crowd. 🤮

We missed the opening set (yeah, yeah, I know, 🤦) and spent the whole time fighting our way to the front, but somehow my girlfriend didn't spill a single drop of her beer. Not one. We didn't even get elbowed in the face once. We didn't even have to shove through people. Seriously, screw you guys. ☕ If you're going to act like that, maybe just head over to Carnegie Hall to listen to some chamber music instead. ☕

And I couldn't care less about the idiots who thought throwing mud around was a brilliant idea. 🤦 My girl actually took a hit right in the eye. 😠

Look, this is a rock concert; if my friend wants that kind of polite atmosphere, she should head over to Carnegie Hall to listen to chamber music with that kind of attitude. 😉

Honestly, the crowd was just a total mess. 🤮

For real though, I ended up getting there right at 11 and walked way closer than I should have, not that I'm complaining 🙂 I had an amazing time regardless, but I was being such a klutz and wore sneakers that I've spent the last half hour scrubbing them clean.

Why are you even complaining? 😁

Personally, I didn't mind the mud one bit. In fact, I wore it like a badge of honor for the rest of the night! 🤣

The performance by Chain was actually quite impressive, though I have to say the rest of the night ended up being even better. 🙏

I think you're totally missing the point here. ☕ An engaged, rowdy crowd is what makes a rock concert actually feel alive. People throwing mud? Those are just idiots. ☕

ambertiger said:Totally agree—I rolled in around 11 and ended up right in the thick of it, not that I’m complaining! :) Honestly, I had a blast regardless, but I was an idiot for wearing sneakers; I’ve spent the last half hour scrubbing them clean.

🙂 🤣

There is literally several pounds of sludge caked onto my Steve Maddens. 😲 Like, how on earth am I supposed to get this stuff off? 😂

Chain was actually pretty killer, but the rest of the lineup definitely held the night together better. 🙏

Nah. 😁

Well, honestly, it's way easier than trying to scrub mud out of canvas Vans 😁. Besides, those sneakers are basically my official uniform for shows at The Fillmore or House of Blues anyway—I'd feel too guilty wearing anything else there =)

Mud aside, I had such a blast! Though, if I'm being real, the crowd could have brought a little more energy during sets like them Bones or dati that River. But man, Angry Chair and Nutshell totally made my night, obviously. 🙂

Edit-pa I just realized you're actually on my last.fm! And here I was thinking your handle just sounded super familiar all this time! 😁

Actually, I have to agree. 😬

@ copperjackal89

It’s honestly a bit unrealistic to expect a crew that spends all their time getting bogged down in the mud to suddenly become more proactive, don't you think? 😁

Hey everyone, does anyone know how much tickets are going for tonight for Billy Idol? It's kind of an emergency...

Just wanted to say... being right up front at a show for a band I’ve loved since forever is an absolutely surreal feeling. I even managed to snag the pick Jerry used when he played Again... 😁 It couldn't have been any better. The crowd in the front rows deserves serious props. They knew every single lyric and sang them from the soul, even the newer stuff. Same goes for all the other acts, too. Seriously, what an incredible kickoff day. Honestly, it might even be enough to make me forgive T-Mobile US for overcharging me all these years ☕

Just a quick update from the festival!!! I was actually planning on catching Morcheeba instead, but honestly, it didn't matter—the guys absolutely crushed it. Seriously, total knockout. I was feeling twice as wiped out halfway through their set as I did after finishing day zero—that’s just how much energy they pull out of you. The music is one of those things where you can't help but jump around or throw some gay energy into the mix (which is exactly what Nick was channeling during the whole performance👍). I mean, even if you were hearing them for the very first time, you wouldn't be able to help yourself—they're just that good. Tomorrow is looking pretty chill with BSS, Lips, and MA😍

Absolute chaos

They absolutely tore the roof off.

Pendulum feels a lot like some weird mashup of driving through a tunnel without headlights crossed with Scooter. It’s basically background music for an upscale ski resort in Aspen.

The whole act was just a caricature—of everything. Of themselves, of everyone else. A performance you're better off forgetting immediately.
