Aside from the fact that they absolutely crushed it (Heart of Hearts 👋), let’s be real—they basically killed God with that One Piece Puzzle nonsense!

At least regarding these last few things I actually managed to catch on time 😢

LCD Soundsystem!!! Oh man, YES. Absolutely.

Everything else? Forget about it. I was watching Dragasa on the morning news, and they were claiming Morcheeba was actually pretty decent too. Honestly, it’s kind of adorable.😁

Well, she definitely was. 😁 Okay, so I caught the tail end of it, but honestly, the whole thing felt way too sugary-sweet for my taste; Skye was just giggling like a little kid and being all super positive about how Rome wasn't even that great or whatever. 🙂

LCD Soundsystem was pretty dull at the start, and then the finale felt totally forced. I’m just not feeling it. It actually left me feeling a bit annoyed with them and !!! as well. But hey, what do I know, right? 😢 😁

I am seriously counting down the hours until tomorrow. Oh, wait—it's today! 😍

I honestly can't forgive LCD Soundsystem for skipping "Someone Great." 😠 I mean, seriously? And I have to agree with what Olivia Walker30 said—that ending felt way too forced. They could have at least thrown in "New York, I Love You" to wrap things up properly. 😢
At times, they were genuinely incredible—"Tribulations," for instance—but then things would just stretch out and become tedious. 🤷 On top of that, the lead mic on that stage was turned down so low it felt like someone was singing from a confessional booth. :confused

!!! absolutely the best 🙏 🙏 Heart of Hearts and Yadnus 👋 I had no idea the singer was so flamboyant, lol. His dancing just didn't seem to match the intensity of the music at all. Oh well, at least they're unique. : )

I listened to One Piece for the first time... though maybe only about three or four songs. Their sound is fantastic and the vocalist is incredibly charismatic, no doubt about it. My only gripe is that the lyrics feel a bit shallow; it feels like every other song is just about Heroin, and they could really use some more lyrical depth. 😁

Billy, 🤣 I'm not sure what to say about it... I missed "Eyes Without a Face," which is probably the only track that still holds up perfectly as a standalone song today. 😍 It was obvious the big hits were saved for the end—classic old-school move. 🤮 Otherwise, it was predictable and honestly kind of dull. In my opinion, there wasn't much to it... just a bunch of nostalgic fans showing up to relive their youth.

Personally, I found that set to be entirely passable. I haven't actually delved into their discography before, as my tastes lean heavily toward Portishead and I generally find nothing else in that vein remotely tolerable, but there was a certain charm to it—just a cold beer and some rhythmic swaying...
Prior to that, Heroin was predictably solid, and that snippet from The Molesters was equally decent.

And then, LCD Soundsystem absolutely crushed it 🙏
followed immediately by !!!, whose lead singer apparently had his usual run-ins with the police and identified as gay 😍

I listened to Frenulum for a brief period, and I find myself in total agreement with Raymond Barrett12.

As for Billy Idol, he was nothing short of an embarrassment.
The posing 🤮
the stadium setting 🤮
the costume changes 🤮
the sheer pretension 🤮
"I'm Billy fuckin' Idol" 🤮 🤮 🤮 was absolute bottom-of-the-barrel garbage
Despite the fact that his tracks are staples in every "Why We Hate the Eighties" compilation ever assembled, he has genuine hits, and I suspect that if he hadn't been so preoccupied with his own image, he could have been a perfectly respectable act for festivals of this caliber.
Instead, he chose to be a hillbilly fuckin' idol 🤷

Walter Gonzalez90 said:Just saying... being right up in the front row at a show for a band I've been obsessed with since I was a kid is honestly an indescribable feeling. I even snagged the pick they used when Jerry Garcia played Again... 😁 It couldn't have been any better. The crew in those front rows seriously deserve props. They knew every word and sang from the absolute bottom of their souls, even the newer stuff. Same goes for the other performers—huge respect all around. Honestly, such a killer zero day. Might even be enough to make me forgive T-Mobile US for bleeding me dry all these years. ☕

I was positioned right in the middle of the stage, about four rows back, and let me tell you, the people in the very first row totally grossed me out! Nobody would move an inch, and half of them didn't even know the lyrics—just pathetic, honestly. 😠
I barely managed to wedge myself into the front row just in time for Nutshell, and thank God I did, because otherwise, there was no way I was catching a pick 😁 Jerry's 😁 I don't know if he actually played it, but that thing looks pretty beat up 😁

The setlist was perfect; I wouldn't have changed a single thing 😁 and they were absolutely stellar. Almost like the old days! Obviously, nobody can ever truly replace Layne Staley, but Duvall is a worthy successor—you can tell she isn't some poser trying to mimic Layne; she’s her own person, yet somehow still manages to pay tribute to him. Mike McCready and Jerry Garcia are absolute legends! I didn't really get a good look at Sean Kinney, since I wasn't exactly tall enough to see over the crowd 😁

All in all, screw anyone saying they were bad, because they absolutely crushed it! 😁
( that's a joke, but it's not far from the truth 🤣 )

Morcheeba was kind of a drag 🤷

LCD Soundsystem was super good—Murphy is honestly just wonderful 😍
I was pretty hyped from the jump, though I guess it could’ve been even better? If I'm talking about the crowd, I mean. But still, it was freaking awesome! Most of the songs sounded unexpectedly amazing live, even if they were a bit slow-paced 😁
IF I COULD SEE ALL MY FRIENDS TONIGHT 🙂

!!! Look, they're okay, but man, what a massive disappointment. They didn't have even a shadow of that performance from three years ago, not by a long shot 😢
The party didn't even really start until halfway through the set with Yadnus. Before that, they played Must be The Moon and... nothing. Just zero energy. The sound was rough, too—the vocals were way too quiet—but maybe that was the vibe they were going for? Who knows? Those new songs were just weird... and they swapped out the drummer for a setup with one and a half people and it still sounds off 😢
The absolute highlight was when this Black woman tossed a bottle toward the crowd right in front of Anti-Person, and this guy caught it like a total pro 🙏 🙏

Then we headed over to Pendulum. I already knew they weren't the best, but at least they aren't as limp as this "headliner," right? It was alright—just a bunch of hyper teenagers, great vibes, and without even trying, they got almost a thousand of us in the crowd to do that crouching thing 🙏

Lisa Flores74 said:I honestly can't forgive LCD Soundsystem for skipping "Someone Great." It’s a massive oversight. 😠 What on earth? Honestly, what Thora said was such an overblown, dramatic way to end things. They could have at least gone with something like "New York, I Love You." 😢

I was fully expecting "New York I Love You" to be the encore. I honestly couldn't believe they didn't play it. It was a terrible, lackluster way to wrap things up. Definitely the disappointment of the day.
I showed up to the Tribulations set—which, in my opinion, is their absolute best—expecting to be blown away. I was ready for them to tear the roof off the place, but instead, it was just dull and ultimately went nowhere. Honestly, I spent the whole time kicking myself for missing US V them ali and some other great acts. I really should have stuck around until the end for Bullys.

Lisa Flores74 said:Simply the best. 🙏 🙏 Deep down, it’s all about Yadnus. 👋

Well, just when I stepped out to catch a bit of Billy Idol, I missed Heart of Hearts. Typical. 😢 That’s the thing about trying to control everything—you micromanage every little detail until you end up missing the best parts entirely. Did they play "a New Name"?

Does anyone happen to know if Bullys ever played "faca in Cloud" or "The Snow"?

Well, surprise of the day: Morcheeba is on the lineup. Still, Alice in Chains remains my number one choice. For now, at least. 🙂

They played US V them ali
but honestly, if I were anyone else, I’d feel like I was Losing My Edge too—it's just one of those things, right?
I mean, it was a little disappointing that's all there was to it 😢

but overall, they totally saved the night for me! 👍

There’s nothing like hitting up a festival to catch some live music
again
I caught the Alice in Chains set the other day and honestly, it felt like I wasn't even there
everything starts sounding identical—which doesn't always bother me—but aside from that one single from the OST, it all just bled together😲
that's why yesterday was actually decent
the lady from Morcheeba was clearly feeling it, rambling about nonsense and being kind of charming, even if she was low-key disappointed by the fans who didn't know the lyrics
their whole vibe just isn't particularly intense for me
the LCD screen looked killer, though
hits, grooves, rain, dancing... plus they seem like good people
the applause felt standard, though they really miss having a drummer; right now it's just heavy bass and vocals that are way too quiet, but props to the guy in the crowd for stepping in to help that girl out
I caught a bit of that Limp Bizkit set and Billy Idol, but honestly, I probably should've skipped it
couldn't get to sleep easily this morning

The sheer incompetence shown by organizers when it comes to preparing for basic weather at Open Air festivals is the ultimate form of amateurism.
Everyone knew it was going to rain ten days ago. Yet they acted surprised, like they'd never seen a cloud in their lives. Complete amateurs...
And then they have the nerve to hand out two ponchos to a group of three. 🤦

If you knew the rain was coming, why on earth didn't you just buy your own poncho? 🤷 What exactly are the organizers expected to provide—rubber boots, windbreakers, wool scarves, and thick socks for every attendee if a north wind picks up? 🙏 🙏 🙏

LCD Soundsystem was great, but everything else was garbage. If only Flogging Molly had played yesterday, I wouldn't have to drag myself back there today...🤮

I caught Morcheeba because I wasn't really interested in anything else at the time. It was okay, I guess. A bit boring at points since I don't actually listen to them, but the lead singer is pretty sweet and charming enough.
The audio Bullys totally blew me away 🙏
Pendulum was great. Honestly, I regret leaving halfway through to catch Billy Idol, only to arrive right when he hit that slow stretch—singing four depressing songs in a row. I actually started nodding off 🤣 I don't know, I just didn't vibe with him much; I always got the impression he used to be more charismatic. I heard Rebel Yell, then just took a casual stroll home.
Was anyone else at L-Vis 1990?
Today it's just pure skepticism and F. Molly, maybe a little Cut Massive once I get back.

Don't give me that crap—you're seriously telling me you were actually there at the Rise Against show instead of being at the concert? 😲 🙂

Man, Rise Against absolutely crushed it tonight. Seriously, they just tore the house down. 🙏 🙏 👍 The band was absolutely electric, the crowd was losing their minds, and there was a massive circle pit going off right in the middle of the mud. 🙂 :pank:

LCD Soundsystem 4.5/5
!!! 5.5/5

My expectations:
LCD Soundsystem 4.5/5
!!! 5.5+/5

The sound quality during the LCD Soundsystem set was actually excellent—I kind of appreciated that it wasn't overwhelmingly loud, which is rare these days—but man, that !!! set was a different beast entirely. I initially figured the sound was off because I was tucked away on the far left side of the venue, but even after shuffling toward the center, nothing really changed. It just was what it was, I guess.

Up next: Caribou or Lipsi 🙂

LCD Soundsystem was alright, just a little too quiet—felt like the crowd was attending a funeral or something. But hey, their drumming was solid as always. Honestly, the whole show could've been better, especially that final stretch.
Pendulum lasted maybe 15 minutes and honestly? It was some of the worst stuff I’ve ever laid eyes on. A total mess of Prodigy, Scooter, Limp Bizkit, and Colonie vibes. Purely for kids. Might as well have had an "under 12 only" sticker on the stage. As for Billy Idol, he looked pretty rough—just old and struggling to even catch his breath.

Rise Against absolutely crushed it. 🙏 🙏 👍 High energy from the band, a wild crowd, and a massive circle pit right in the middle of the mud. 🙂 :pank:

Of course I’d rather be at LCD Soundsystem. I caught the first three songs of Rise Against and bailed. When you've been listening to punk for more than a year, you learn how to spot garbage within three tracks... 🙂 Should I go ahead and grab the "Siren Song of the Counter Culture" CD?🙂

I agree regarding Billy Idol, but I can't get behind the Pendulum take. I saw Limp Bizkit and they aren't even remotely similar, let alone Colonie. They’re actually one of the better drum'n'bass or electro/rock bands out there. Their cover of Voodoo People even landed them on the Prodigy compilation *Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005*. To me, they're excellent, high-energy, and intense.
Sure, tastes differ and we won't argue about that, but you just can't compare them to LP, Colonie, or Scooter. 😂
