New Starship Troopers 3 Trailer



So, a second trailer just dropped for the direct-to-video flick Starship Troopers : Marauder. It’s being pushed specifically for the Japanese market right now, but it looks like the movie is heading for a theatrical release in Japan and several other spots across Asia and Europe on July 19th.

Just to get everyone up to speed, this third installment in the Starship Troopers franchise features Casper van Dien, Jolene Blalock (from Star Trek : Enterprise), Amanda Donohoe, and Boris Kodjoe. They’re all back to try and shut down some evil bug scheme to wipe out Earth.

As for home media, Marauder is set to hit Blu-ray and DVD on August 5th, and they'll be dropping the previous two films in the series alongside it. Heads up though—Marauder is definitely getting an R rating because of the violence, the swearing, and some nudity.

I watched that first piece of trash years ago—never even realized there was a sequel, let alone a third one 😂

LOL...the first one is miles away from being trash...sure, maybe those "Melrose Place" looks are a bit distracting, but it’s top-tier sci-fi action and honestly one of the last solid Verhovenov flicks...
The second one holds its own for a B-movie...visually, it actually looks pretty slick...but that third one? Looks cheap as hell and feels totally static...

The people in Melrose Place have their reasons for acting the way they do, honestly.

Personally, I thought the first one was awesome.
That desert battle scene was definitely a highlight...

I haven't checked out the sequel yet, even though I've got it on Blu-ray. A lot of people tell me it's total trash (probably because the original cast isn't in it)

Hopefully this third installment hits the mark. The old crew is back...
Haven't caught the trailer since I'm stuck at college right now, but I'll check it out once I get home.

Just finished watching both parts.
The first one was actually pretty solid, though I found the second part to be nothing special.
At least it was good to see Casper van Dien back on screen.

The first part was an absolute masterpiece, and honestly, it feels like a crime to even put these next two installments in the same conversation as that original...

I'm with you on the second one, but I haven't sat down with the third yet, so I'll hold my breath on that until I see it.

I haven't sat down to watch it yet, but they'll fix that mistake in future releases. I saw the second one back when it first hit DVD; my memory is a bit fuzzy, but if I recall, there were some solid, bloody action sequences in there. As for this third installment, it feels a little washed out to me—though maybe that's exactly what they were going for. 😕

I mean, what can you do? At the end of the day, we're talking about a legitimate cinematic legend here... so, yeah, obviously we need to see how this third installment turns out before we pass judgment, but just because the lead from the first movie is back doesn't necessarily guarantee it'll be any good...

So, I'm keeping my expectations pretty low for part three 🙂

Well, I mean, the screenwriter is the same guy who did all three parts, but now he’s actually stepping behind the camera to direct... hmm, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they actually pull it off (if you ask me, those guys don't know what they're doing) 😁

Look, regardless of how you slice it, this movie is bound to be better than the sequel. That one was a total disaster.
We can't ignore the fact that they actually nailed the female casting this time around.😁

Two was on ABC recently. I guess it was a terrible movie 🤣

I don't buy it... even from the trailer, this looks cheap and low-budget, unlike the second one. For a small budget, the sequel actually looked surprisingly good... it felt like a movie like "Assault on Precinct 13," where you have a group—in this case, soldiers—trapped in a building fighting off bugs. Plus, they added that creepy twist where the bugs take over human bodies... so who's infected? It’s a decent flick if you judge it as a B-movie, and honestly, it stands out from most other B-movies, even if it doesn't touch the original. But this third trailer? Looks like straight-up C-grade garbage. Everything feels cheap and static... I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, they definitely have them, and they're also showing those orbital drop suits where the soldiers jump straight from orbit down to the planet, just like Heinlein wrote about. It’s a bummer they didn't include the handheld nuclear weapons from the book, though. 😁

As for those bugs, I saw something that looked like a trumpet firing blue lasers.🙄
