When I ordered an SSD from Amazon in Spain, it didn't even come close to taking nearly as long as their estimated delivery date suggested.

I’d say it’s more about how many cards are actually in stock rather than how long it takes to ship stuff from 😉Italy

Honestly, it's fifty-fifty.

It says shipping takes about 14 days, but that's just their wide window for international shipping. In reality, it usually goes much faster.
Now, whether they'll actually get it out the door within 14 days? That's anyone's guess.

It’s possible. They usually list a much longer timeframe under "standard shipping," so this isn't out of the ordinary. If they have it in stock, I’d say you can comfortably expect it to arrive well before that deadline.

That "14 ago" means August 14th. 😬

Bottom line, you might get lucky and see it sooner, but the window they gave is August 3rd to August 22nd.🍿

Anyway, let me know when it shows up. I'm curious to see how long they actually take.

Yeah, you've got a point there, haha.

The tracking is tripping me up. It says Arriver received it on August 3rd, but the shipping date was August 14th. That makes zero sense. How can it arrive before they even ship it?
Anyway, I'll let you know when it actually shows up.

I’m seriously considering just ditching my current card and picking up an NVIDIA GTX 1070 for the exact same price... I might even come out ahead with some cash left over. 🤣🤣🤣

Honestly, you should probably pull the trigger while you still can. If you try selling those three sticks of RAM—assuming that's even how people are doing it these days—and toss in another $110, you'll be sitting pretty with a GTX 1070. It’s especially worth it if you have an integrated GPU to tide you over during the swap.

Amazon Prime Day is officially live... not sure who’s actually jumping on this or if it's just limited to the US site, but the discounts are supposedly "huge." 😬

Mostly just some peripherals

You might not realize that today is actually Prime Day—think of it like Black Friday, but exclusively on Amazon. We've rounded up the absolute best deals for you

Does this seem a little too good to be true to anyone else? When I look at what people usually try to offload for $300, this looks like an absolute steal.

The pricing is incredibly fair. To give you some perspective, I’ve seen similar CPUs listed for $233, and for that exact same amount, you could often snag a more powerful GPU like a Radeon 7970 or an HD 280X. Back in the day, 8GB of DDR3 used to go for under $100, and I've even spotted used 1TB hard drives going for as low as $50.

So, what’s your take—is a 300W power supply actually going to cut it with this CPU and GPU combo? I was checking the TDP, and it says the processor sits at 84W while the GPU hits maybe 170W under extreme, worst-case scenarios. It feels a bit weird seeing numbers that low, though; usually, when people put together builds with these kinds of specs, they’re reaching for at least a 400W unit to be safe.

The entire rig pulls less than 200W at full load—the GPU itself sits right around 120W—and since this is a high-quality power supply delivering a solid 288W on the +12V rail, everything is perfectly fine.
