AMD Ryzen prices are finally dipping

https://www.newegg.com/amd-processors...en-5-1600.html
https://www.newegg.com/amd-processors...n-5-1500x.html
https://www.newegg.com/amd-processors...en-5-1400.html

With these discounts, you're looking at roughly $457 for the R5 1400, or about $590 for the R5 1600

be quiet! 300W power supply for $94. One of the few decent options under $100. Might actually be a better call than Hexagon if you're watching every single cent

It might not quite hit that budget Best Buy sweet spot, but we're finally seeing a reasonable price on the RX 550:

AMD Radeon RX 550 2GB - $223

Maybe financial struggles over at Western Digital have something to do with this?🤔 😬

So, there’s some drama unfolding. crimsonstag84 mentioned on the forums that Western Digital isn't going to be selling laptops in the US anymore, though I'm not entirely sure if there's a direct connection here.

That would be a massive shitshow if true. Most of the time, when people ask me about budget options, I just tell them to go with Western Digital.😁

Timothy Kim60 said:Actually, Americans don't even ship directly here most of the time, and their listed prices on websites are tax-free—unlike how things work in Europe where you're juggling both state and local sales tax. Even if you factor in decent shipping costs, once you add our local sales tax and customs duties since we aren't part of the same trade bloc, it actually ends up being cheaper to just buy from a domestic retailer like Best Buy or Micro Center... plus, you get a local warranty right here! 😁 And honestly, trying to claim those overseas rebates can be a total headache for everyone involved...

So, I say go for the US options. For us, the only real way to save is by catching those big sales on the European Amazon sites...

Just take a look at the prices in various European shops... like Newegg and others... there's always something available... you can browse through German retailers as much as you want.....

Link

There's an info section over on PayPal explaining the details. It covers how to register your card and how the promotion works for the first 200 customers. At the time I sat down to write this, they were already at 131/200. Everyone I've seen using it so far is on Visa 👎
