Best mail client recommendations?

Can anyone suggest a fast email client? I need something that handles imports from Microsoft Outlook smoothly and supports multiple accounts where each one maintains its own separate inbox. Here is what I've tried so far:
Foxmail 6 - This was my go-to for a while and worked great, but it suddenly stopped functioning on its own. Even a reinstallation didn't fix it.
Thunderbird 2 - Everything just ends up dumped into a single folder.
AOL Mail - It behaves exactly like Thunderbird.
Sylpheed - It struggles whenever I try to import old messages from Microsoft Outlook.

I’ve no idea what you did to your Thunderbird 2 setup, but I’m running two separate accounts right now and each one has its own dedicated inbox, outbox, trash folder, and so on. It looks like you might have just misconfigured something along the way.
Maybe The Bat would be more your speed.

I’m using Thunderbird 2 as well, and honestly, what you're experiencing just depends entirely on how you set things up. I guess maybe you should actually read the documentation before jumping to criticism. When you create a second account in Thunderbird, the software literally asks if you want everything to land in one unified inbox or kept separate. If someone just blindly clicks "next" without paying attention, that's on them, not the program.👎

The software is whatever you make it, and you can even go back and change those settings in Thunderbird later on...

If you ask me, I'm sticking with Thunderbird because it’s great, plus you can run it right off a USB drive.😁

edit: Just realized what happened. I forgot to uncheck Use Global inbox. 😳

From everything I have observed and read, it seems you are struggling with the fact that all your messages are being funneled into a single account; therefore, I would strongly suggest that you start using The Bat, as it allows you to configure each account individually, meaning you can simply create as many separate folders as you have email addresses

I guess you could also just do that in Thunderbird

I’ve been using Thunderbird, but honestly, I’m becoming increasingly frustrated and am starting to look for an alternative. Everything was running smoothly until about a year ago, when it practically nudged me into performing an update.🙂
It went ahead and changed my settings regarding how long emails stay on the server after being downloaded locally. I managed to switch it back, but once those few days passed, the program started deleting all my previous emails from the inbox instead.🙂 It took quite a bit of digging and a lot of searching online to finally figure out where to disable that feature, since the menu layout had shifted completely compared to the previous version. That was roughly a year ago.
Now, it’s started aggressively badgering me with these "threatening" pop-up messages, again pushing for an upload—even though I already disabled the option to be prompted for uploads—this time citing security reasons. On top of that, I wrote a very important email yesterday and sent it; there were no errors, and I saw it sitting right there in my "Sent" folder. I even reread it twice. Then, suddenly, the email just vanished. It’s nowhere to be found—not in any folder, and not even in the trash, just in case I had accidentally deleted it. I have no idea if it actually went through or not, and the recipient hasn't responded yet...

A quick question for those of you using Thunderbird:
1. How can I set up a distribution list so certain emails are automatically sent to a specific group every single day?
2. Also, how do I pull a recipient's address from my address book? In most other programs, I just click To, which opens the address book, and once I select a contact, their info is instantly added to the address bar... but Thunderbird doesn't seem to work that way...

It seems nobody truly realizes this... For what it's worth, I have explored every single feature available, but I must point out that after conducting an exhaustive study of all various email clients, Thunderbird remains unrivaled, whereas one of the inferior clients is far more complicated and offers significantly fewer possibilities...
