Seriously though. It's a decent lyric. Since they used two different metals, you'd think they cancel each other out—like saying "wooden tree"—but they don't. In this context, gold, like in 99% of cases, isn't actually about the metal; it's symbolic. Zlatan Ibrahimović, essentially = great, shining, or even proud. Steel is usually the go-to for strength, though I doubt it's doing much heavy lifting here.

But it doesn't mean strength, pride, or any of that nonsense, especially since gold is actually a pretty soft and flimsy metal.

Even if everything you wrote was correct—which 🤣, it isn't—the lyric still proves that Rhapsody is pure kitsch, the kind of stuff only some brainless people living in a fantasy world would find deep.

That doesn't have to be the case.
I actually started out with prog and Power metal—and not because I was trying to be edgy or a rebel, but simply because I genuinely liked the music. I still listen to prog just as much today as I did back then, and every now and then, I'll drift into some Gothic, Heavy, or Symphonic stuff.

Zak, it's a damn good song. Honestly, that whole album... it's just dark... absolutely killer.
Personally, my favorite track is Emerald Sword, especially that chorus:
For the kings, for the land, for the mountains,
For the green valeyes where dragons fly,
for the glory, the power to win...

That part is incredible. 🙂
The choruses are always the best part for me. I don't even know why... but the music in those choruses is just too damn good. 👍

That’s the whole point of Power metal—the storytelling is what makes those lyrics work. Take Rhapsody, for example; they basically turned their entire discography into one continuous saga. Every single word is carefully chosen just to build out that specific narrative. If you’re only looking at the surface level, sure, it’s just solid music with some lyrics attached. 🙂

By the way, those "golden swords of steel" lyrics actually come from Turril's King of the Nordic Twilight album...😳
