😢

But that’s exactly what I was getting at:

casualnomad42 said:This is an opinion I fully back... and thank God everyone sticks to responses like this instead of spiraling into stuff like:
.......... blah blah blah ..............
Basically, it’s incredibly hard to maintain even a modicum of decency—which should be second nature to everyone, let alone someone with a PhD.😉

Some people even have the nerve to point it out:
nimblewalker58 says:
Are you actually a doctor—like, with a real degree?

The rest of my comment was regarding exactly what you mentioned:
It honestly baffles me how people with advanced degrees can be so comfortable with public insults. 👍

Peter Myers29 said:1. It’s honestly fascinating how people start hunting for excuses to tear someone down once they run out of actual arguments. Usually, they just go after age. Since I'm younger, apparently I don't have a clue... If I happened to be older than him, I'd probably be labeled old and senile too, wouldn't I?

2. I wouldn't even give someone like that the time of day... 😁

3. Exactly. And what's wrong with being a virgin? At least he's showing how his mind works—without having to worry about STIs or (accidental) offspring.

1. I have plenty of arguments—you're the one who started judging people, funny how you don't like it when people do the same thing back to you.

2. This comment is irrelevant here.
3. Judging by your views on sex, you're probably better off staying a virgin. 😁 Sex is a hell of a lot better than diseases and kids, though I certainly don't have an issue with having kids with the right woman.🙂
Because otherwise, you'll just find some innocent girl and lecture her about being "corrupt" because she wants a little pleasure... 😁

Age isn't inherently discriminatory, but let's face it—certain years bring certain experiences. When a virgin tries to lecture me on what sex is actually like, it feels like a blind man trying to describe the house in front of him. It just doesn't work...

She took a test today, and unfortunately, it was positive. (She even went out and bought one of those expensive ones and used her first morning sample)

She's 18, she has her high school graduation tomorrow, and college entrance exams are in three weeks... yeah, right. She’s supposed to be focused on studying day and night...
The guy is a total jerk who doesn't seem to care one bit...

Can anyone tell me what a miscarriage actually looks like around the 6-week mark? ...She's terrified it'll involve heavy bleeding and intense pain, because apparently, some girl she knows went through...

If anyone could DM me a recommendation for a good gynecologist, or just some info on this... 😢

LeeLooo, what city is she in? We need to find a doctor nearby.

And those are what, exactly? You might have some valid points, but it’s pretty obvious you just can't stand anyone else's arguments if they happen to contradict yours.

Matthew Sullivan32 said:2. This comment is actually relevant.

Generally speaking, taste isn't up for debate.

Matthew Sullivan32 said:The judges seem to be evaluating people based on their attitudes toward sex; apparently, you’re better off staying a virgin. 😁 Sex is a far better pursuit than illness or the struggle of raising offspring—though, to be clear, I have nothing against having children with the right woman. 🙂
Otherwise, you’ll just end up finding some innocent girl and shaming her for having desires. If she wants a messy orgasm, let her have it. 😁

Since we've run out of actual arguments, I suppose we’re moving on to personal attacks and digging through private lives now. Just mind your own business. My personal life and the decisions I make aren't your concern—nor does any part of this conversation give you the right to judge whether they're good or bad. Besides, that's not even what this discussion is about.

It just doesn't hold water.

You don't need to take a bite of the cake to know it's sweet. As for the blind, they often see more clearly than some "experts" with perfect vision—people who have everything laid out right in front of them, yet their own egos block the view.

Generally speaking, you can't argue with taste.

Let's not resort to throwing insults or digging into private lives just because we're running out of actual points to make... Mind your own business. My personal life and my choices don't concern you—not that you have any right to judge whether they're "good" or not. Besides, that's not even the topic of this discussion.

You don't need to take a bite of the cake to know it's sweet. And as for the blind, sometimes they see things more clearly than certain "geniuses" with perfectly good eyesight who miss what's right in front of them because their egos are blocking the view.

The fact that you're inexperienced is proven by your habit of using double standards. Digging into someone's personal life seems to be your specialty—you actually dared to comment on my wife, whom you've never even met. So, you went after someone who wasn't even part of the conversation in the first place!👎

I don't care about your decisions or your private life, BUT you also have no business commenting on her decisions from the very start. You felt entitled to critique her character and her actions... and then you cry when you get burned. 😁 Don't try to play in a league you aren't ready for. It's that simple.
A young, healthy guy around, say, 25, isn't exactly normal if he doesn't have a sex drive, regardless of who he finds attractive.

A woman is going to have an abortion with or without your permission, but while you're busy moralizing to everyone else, you're wasting time you could spend dealing with your own mess. It's a practical solution, really... 😉

Where? When? Give me specifics. Provide some actual evidence. Any fool can fabricate what others said and project motives onto them.

Matthew Sullivan32 said:I don't care about your decisions or your private life, BUT your decisions have nothing to do with her from the start. It's that simple.

I simply stated my opinion on abortion, which is my right, regardless of what certain individuals like you might think.

And I get the impression that the one who isn't quite ready for adulthood is the one who uses sex as the sole metric for a person's value.

Matthew Sullivan32 said:A young, healthy man around, say, 25 years old isn't normal if he lacks any sexual desire, regardless of how attractive people are to him.

Oh, so now you've granted yourself the authority to decide who is normal and who isn't. That says plenty about you and the caliber of debate you're capable of having. As I mentioned before: intelligent people discuss problems; fools discuss people.

Matthew Sullivan32 said:A woman will have an abortion with or without your permission, but while you're busy moralizing to others, you have less time to deal with your own mess. A practical solution.😉

Where did I ever say she shouldn't have an abortion? Name the instance!

...but honestly, I don't feel like wasting my time on these mindless bickerings just because someone (you) needs to stroke their own ego. As far as I'm concerned, have it your way. The smarter person yields.👋

Haha, so what exactly have you all been obsessing over for the last few dozen pages then?

While you guys were busy nitpicking, the woman in question probably already sorted her life out. She didn't need half of your pseudo-intellectual deep dives to get things done.

She asked a direct question, and instead of answering, you people dragged it into a fifty-page marathon that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual topic at hand.

Look, everyone is free to do whatever they want—it's a free country 😬—but let's try to use some common sense. 🙂 I think we can all agree on that. 😕 😁

Peter Myers29 said:So what if some parents have fallen away from the faith? If they actually give a damn about their kids, they’ll probably just tell them not to make the same mistakes they did.....

Look, there are parents out there (like mine) who tell me not to screw up like they did and suggest I wait until I'm older to start a family.
The mistake is when a teenager gets pregnant; there's really no debate on whether that's smart or not.

How should we view parents who have two or three kids—or maybe just one—and decide they’re done, only for contraception to fail? They have the resources to support another child, yet the woman has made her choice and is opting for an abortion. What's your take on them?

It’s as if she feels her family is already complete. Thoughts? And keep in mind, they are in a stable marriage...

It’s as if she feels she's had enough children already. What do you guys think? Especially when they’re in what looks like a perfectly stable marriage...

What would I think? Honestly, they have every right to decide their own path... my view is that no child should ever be born into a situation where they aren't wanted—that's a recipe for misery, plain and simple. Besides, there are far too many "perfect" marriages out there that are really just a facade😉

I guess I wish them the best, but just because you can afford another kid doesn't mean a woman is actually ready to go through that again.
Besides, kids are total energy vampires. Maybe she's just hit her limit.

I didn't have the energy to read through everything, but from what I gathered, the guys here are all against this abortion issue, yet the OP made it pretty clear the father couldn't care less about the pregnancy.

The hypocrisy is unreal. 👎

As men, you can just walk away from parental responsibility whenever you want, but if a woman chooses an abortion, suddenly she's a murderer.

Personally, I'm still weighing my own stance on abortion—leaning towards being against it—but I just can't stomach the double standards people use to judge others.

Shame on you all.

But what about conscience? It’s one thing to empathize with a teenager backed into a corner by an unplanned pregnancy—it’s quite another to stomach married women choosing abortion simply because they don't want more kids, even when they have everything they need. If you look at the actual data, abortions happen much more frequently among married women than teenagers.

Besides, kids are massive energy drains; maybe she’s simply reached her limit.

But how does one reconcile that with their conscience? Most teenage girls look back on that moment with regret—some complain about what they did, while others seem strangely nonchalant and move on too easily—though perhaps I'm wrong about there being so few of the latter. We even had a forum member here who was once a teenager and broke down in tears over the memory. It’s easy to empathize with people like her, those who got caught in life's whirlpool without a clear way out. On the other hand, married mothers are mature and have established lives—even if some lack stability—and regardless of whether they use contraception, they still opt for an abortion. It’s easy to say, "I've had enough children," and treat it like a routine dental extraction. And we all know, pregnancy is a serious matter.

Let's be clear—I am strictly against abortion, yet simultaneously, I am fully in favor of a woman's right to bodily autonomy.

I don't even know what they're thinking anymore.
But look, I’m sticking to my guns: pregnancy should be wanted. There’s really no point in going through with it just because you can or because you have the means.
Maybe the kids they already have totally drained them, or maybe they just want to get back to their careers and are done having more babies.

Everyone has their own reasons, and honestly, those reasons are valid enough to choose an abortion. If someone can't live with their conscience, they won't do it, and that's that.

The reality is that a woman's bodily autonomy ends where the child's life begins. Unfortunately, many people seem to ignore that fact simply because they can't see it.

Peter, that was incredibly profound.🙂

A woman's body and the fetus are physically connected by the placenta (though I doubt you've ever heard of one). So tell me, where exactly is the line on a placenta?
Is it right in the middle, or is it somewhere on the left or right "shore"?😈
