Is there any actual risk of that causing cancer?

From what I understand—and I’m certainly no medical expert here—the answer is no. That lamp only emits harmless IBM rays.

Hmm... calling UV rays "harmless"... that honestly sounds like an oxymoron to me...

I’ll be sure to ask my dermatologist about it once I finally find a spare moment to swing by their office.🙂

Gregory Turner71 said:They say about 2% of the population deals with this damn condition, and yeah, I'm one of them (yay... 🙄 ).

Because of that, I figured it’d be useful to start a thread here where us "lucky" 2% can swap stories, trade tips, or just vent to each other.

So, anyone else here dealing with this annoying crap? How are you managing it? Got any actual advice, or anything else to share?

Yeah, it’s a miserable disease, and it gets even uglier when it hits hard...
It seems like nobody has mentioned that it can show up on your nails too (mostly hands), which is an absolute nightmare.
So, has anyone dealt with nail psoriasis and actually managed to clear it up?

This certainly looks intriguing..

Can we truly believe such findings? I sincerely hope this holds up under scrutiny. 🙂

I really hope the findings hold up! 🙂

If you ask me—and I've been thinking about this quite a bit—it feels like this is either the exact same medication (or at least a very close cousin!) that’s already been patented over here in the States. Honestly, the cost shouldn't be much of an issue at all. 😢 I believe I’ve actually shared some thoughts on this specific one before, if I recall correctly!

Oh, sure... the world is absolutely overflowing with these "miracle cures"... if that were true, why on earth does about 10% of the American population still struggle with psoriasis?🙄>

MacGregor said:Psoriasis is just one of those chronic things—genetics play such a huge role... it's that papulosquamous type, too...
So, psychosomatic skin issues... basically you need at least two things to trigger them. One factor is always there—but it can't cause psoriasis symptoms all on its own. It only flares up once that second factor hits... For psoriasis, that constant underlying thing is your genetics, but then you need those triggers to actually see it. Usually, we're talking mental stress, metabolic stuff, vitamin D deficiencies, or even just internal organ imbalances and external irritants...

So, psoriasis is this chronic thing where you get those red, scaly patches... basically, the skin cells just grow way too fast and shed constantly. Normally, your body takes about a month to cycle through skin cells, but with this, it happens in like four days—it's wild. Nobody really knows why it speeds up like that, though most experts think it's probably just down to genetics...

If you're dealing with psoriasis, maybe it’s time to shake up your lifestyle a bit—honestly... things like hitting the red meat too hard, eating greasy fast food, fungal issues, or drinking way too much booze can definitely trigger flare-ups. Stress plays a huge role too, which sucks. But, we do know some stuff that helps ease the symptoms—like getting some sun, keeping your skin super hydrated, and making sure you're getting enough vitamin D...

Vitamin D is honestly such a game changer—your body makes it from sunlight, but since most people dealing with psoriasis try to stay out of the sun, they miss out... so taking supplements is pretty much a must.

Everyone knows Vitamin A is basically the holy grail for skin... so if you're dealing with psoriasis, I’d really suggest looking into beta-carotene—it just converts to Vitamin A based on what your body actually needs...

Omega-3 fatty acids are huge for fighting inflammation—really helpful if you're dealing with psoriasis, especially since about 10% of people with it end up battling psoriatic arthritis too... Research shows that taking 1-3 grams of fish oil can actually help dial back those symptoms...
Our bodies just can't make them on their own—so we've gotta get them through what we eat. Honestly, with everything in our diet these days, most people are pretty much running low on those essential Omega-3s...
People always forget one huge perk of those deep-sea nutrients—taking Omega-3s actually helps dial down skin inflammation and itching... It calms those flare-ups right down, which makes it super effective for stuff like psoriasis. And honestly, maybe this time of year is actually the perfect window to lean into that combo of sunshine and Omega-3s—to hopefully keep those patches at bay for as long as possible...
To really see some progress with psoriasis skin issues, you kind of need to bump up those Omega-3 doses—so after chatting with my doctor, they suggested taking around 2000 mg of fish oil three times a day... just make sure it's got that specific ratio of 18% EPA and 12% DHA to actually work...

Aloe vera is honestly one of the best moisturizers out there—total lifesaver if you're dealing with psoriasis... To get everything running right, there are definitely some things you just gotta avoid. Even when life gets crazy busy, grabbing an aloe concentrate can really turn your day around. It’s packed with enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals... basically cleanses your system and gives that immune boost. Plus, it's loaded with beta carotene to help keep your immunity strong...

Selenium—you can find this stuff in red onions, garlic, and broccoli... it might actually help with that flaky, scaly skin when dealing with psoriasis.

"If you're willing to drop serious cash on luxury cars, designer suits, and high-end vacations, then you really ought to be just as ready to invest in your own health." 👍 👋 🙂

Great post, Mac 👍. I'm especially glad you mentioned omega-3s—it seems like they do way more good than people realize...

Karen said:That was an excellent post, Mac👍. I am particularly pleased that you highlighted omega-3 fatty acids, as they clearly offer far more benefits than most people realize.

Since we are discussing omega-3s, has anyone here actually tried products from Biofarm? I was considering picking up this (though I really ought to check the price tag 😬 first)
.
Is any of it actually worth the money? Or would I be better off just sticking to flaxseed?😳

Rebecca Myers38 said:Well, there are three uncles.
All had psoriasis, and all got over it using Noni.😳

I think there are actually just two—one uncle and Uncle. For the latter, the symptoms cleared up completely after just two bottles of juice, though we aren't quite sure how many bottles the first one drank. 😁

I've been reading through this whole thread from the very beginning, and honestly, I can't believe it. 😱

nimbledriver81 said:Psoriasis is an incurable condition.

I'm telling you, you're talking nonsense. 😁

nimbledriver81 said:Talia says:
We just don't get enough of those essential nutrients in our food anymore.

This just isn't right. Seriously, why is everyone falling for this propaganda?

Here’s some "propaganda" for you:

I found this PDF online that looks pretty interesting. It’s a deep dive into research regarding plant supplements and their impact on health, covering everything from 1986 through 2002. Seems like a solid resource if you're looking for some data on how these things actually hold up under scrutiny. Just thought I'd drop it here in case anyone else wants to dig into the numbers.

I found this interesting breakdown regarding the role of vitamins in preventing cancer. It’s worth a look if you’re curious about how nutrition ties into long-term health.

Every uneducated person out there seems to think food is stripped of its nutrients nowadays, claiming nothing has any value compared to how things were 10 or 20 years ago. It’s honestly a little sad that you—someone with an actual education—even feel like you need proof for that.

nimbledriver81 said:Look, I’m just saying my take on nutrition comes from knowing a bit more than what you'll find in some random grocery store pamphlet.

Who are we talking about? 🤔
Give me just one argument you're actually talking about? 😉

The one person I trust most is... Dr. David HaberSo, we're talking about a guy who’s spent 26 years deep in the weeds of plant science and nutrition. He’s basically the heavy hitter at UCLA—holding down roles as the Director of the Human Nutrition Center, the Director of the National Cancer Institute, and the Director of the Plant Supplement Research Center. Just saying. Dr. Louis IgnarroA Nobel Prize winner in medicine...'98 He was a great man who dedicated his entire life to human health. Instead of selling out to Big Pharma, he chose to share his research with the company that actually makes natural nutritional supplements—something he took a lot of pride in.

nimbledriver81 said:If you’re eating fish, don't bother with those omega-3 supplements. Those fatty acids are already naturally packed into North Atlantic fish.

You really need to eat fish three times a week just to hit your omega-3 targets. Honestly, who’s actually doing that? 😕
(And what about those "North Sea" ones? ..) 😁 )

Just so you know, some of the top experts in the world actually back me up on this. 😉

nimbledriver81 said:Sure, the world is full of "miracle cures"... so why does 10% of the American population still struggle with psoriasis?

Because they're limited and unproven.😢

Karen said:Great post, Mac👍. I really appreciate you mentioning omega-3 fatty acids—it seems like they help way more than people realize.

From what I've seen here, MacGregor and Talia are the only ones posting anything substantial. Everything else is just guesswork and theory. Plus, I actually know the lady in that photo who cleared up her psoriasis, so I'm pretty sure this is all legit and MacGregor knows his stuff.🙂
