b) You're telling me Nirvana didn't influence Radiohead? The Bends doesn't sound "grunge" to you? Please, it’s practically a blatant tribute to Nirvana's biggest hit.

They were basically the blueprint for Radiohead. And honestly, The Bends doesn't even sound grunge to me... at least not in the way Nirvana did. For what it's worth, I think The Bends blows anything Nirvana ever put out of the water.

p.s. I never said Prodigy was the most influential band of the nineties. I said they had more impact on the electro scene than Nirvana had on rock. Big difference.

And if you think RATM tried to capture that Prodigy vibe... just go read the interview on their official site after they dropped Renegades. It’s right there—Brad and Tom explaining stuff that clearly went over your heads. Plus, Tom was already working with Prodigy back in '96; they even have that track "One Man Army" together.

Also, Dredg isn't part of the mainstream zeitgeist. I never said that. I don't know how you guys managed to misinterpret that.

And honestly, would RATM have ever gotten that kind of push from MTV or become those icons for an entire generation if Smells Like Teen Spirit hadn't basically kicked the doors wide open first?
