Look, this is just my personal take on things. There are honestly so many movies where his performance was just completely off... If I had to pick the absolute worst ones where he missed the mark, I’d say Hancock or maybe even Prince from Bel-Air...

Fair point, but that was early in his career. A TV show doesn't exactly set the bar for greatness.

Everyone’s constantly tearing into Jennifer Aniston—look, she does those romantic comedies that are basically trash by design, so why even take them seriously? 😬
And honestly, Mila Kunis too, though she actually had some range in Black Swan. She’s been pretty much the same since her Jack Phase; you could honestly write a whole thesis on her career if you really wanted to.
But hey, I actually find both of them charming, so they don't exactly get under my skin. 😉

It’s honestly difficult to point to any American actor I’ve watched and label them as truly bad, mostly because even their less talented performers often have more range than 99% of the actors we see back home.
I might find certain actors a bit irritating or just plain silly—take Will Smith or Adam Sandler, for instance. And look, it’s true that Jennifer Aniston isn't exactly my favorite either, but I would never go so far as to say they lack acting ability.
Sometimes I feel like certain actors lack a certain depth of character, yet they still manage to pull off every role with total professionalism, much like Tom Cruise does.
I remember watching this one American crime procedural—the kind where they spend an entire season solving cold cases—and there was this one episode where a character gave such a dramatic, poorly executed performance that I was genuinely stunned. At first, I actually thought he was playing a disturbed or eccentric character, but no... it turned out he was simply giving a terrible performance.

At the end of the day, Americans certainly know how to act. Meanwhile, on our side, we struggle to find that level of skill despite all the arrogance and the idea that we are somehow much bigger than we actually are.

I totally agree with you here
it just hit me—remember the cast from Forbidden Love? You wouldn't believe how much worse they are than anyone else🤣

I don't know, I feel like Jennifer Aniston has been in some bad movies, but I wouldn't call her a bad actress. For me, Jackie is the one who's synonymous with bad acting

It’s true he lacks range😛 but honestly, he was only great in The Matrix because his character was supposed to be a bit dim—kind of like him.🤣

And honestly? She just does those romantic comedies—they're all the same cookie-cutter formula, nothing high-brow about them—so I can't really put her in the same league as actors who actually tackle heavy dramas or intense thrillers.
And Mila in Black Swan? She's just as bad as Jackie. I mean, come on, you can't take a character in a movie like that seriously when they're played with such zero substance.🙄

To be perfectly honest, I just can't get behind Anne Hathaway. There’s simply nothing there for me. It’s the same story with Renée Zellweger. In every single role she takes on, I find myself stuck on that repetitive facial expression—that sort of half-smile mixed with an undefined grimace. I just can't stomach it.

I wouldn't quite put it that way. It's difficult to find truly high-quality actors in Hollywood these days, especially since so many rely on their looks to maintain their status. Jennifer Aniston has a tiny bit of talent, sure, but she's nothing special to me.

Eddie Murphy is just a mediocre actor if you ask me. He seems to try and turn every single role into some variation of that cop character that made him famous, but honestly, it just doesn't work.

I’ve never really been able to get into George Clooney. I wouldn't go so far as to say he's a bad actor, but his performances always feel strangely out of place in his own movies. It’s like he takes over the screen, but not in a way that actually helps the story, and I still can't quite shake that image of him playing Batman.

I just can't stand Christopher Lambert. He feels so incredibly fake as an actor that it's almost painful to watch; I genuinely struggle to think of a single role of his that I’d even give a passing grade. You can see him trying, but it never feels convincing.

Ashton Kutcher was actually decent in "The Butterfly Effect," but everything else he's done feels pretty mindless. He strikes me as a one-dimensional actor, so I'm still scratching my head over how he managed to pull off that one good performance.

Then there's Ben Affleck. Every time the camera zooms in for a close-up and he delivers some totally unbelievable line with that blank, empty expression, I just lose it. I’m actually a little nervous to see how he's going to look in this new Batman movie.

Jonah Hill. I can't even look at him. He’s got this vacant, glazed-over stare in every single scene of every movie he's in. It's like his characters just forgot to bring their personalities from home.🙄

This whole topic is incredibly subjective. Everyone just lists actors who happen to work in genres they already despise, so naturally, any actor in those roles gets labeled as "bad," or people pick on certain actors based on physical preferences for whatever random reason...
Who knows? Maybe Jennifer Aniston really is a subpar actress (not that I've ever sat through one of her movies—honestly, I couldn't care less about her), but it’s also hard to say how a genuinely talented actor would fare in those trashy rom-coms. Would they still be considered good?😁
We could go on about why certain actors constantly agree to star in the same pile of garbage. Kristen Stewart is only in her 20s, and honestly, I think it'll take at least another decade before she manages to shake off that "iconic" image from the Twilight era, though who knows, maybe she's actually decent in reality...

Not necessarily. I mean, besides the crazy 70s, I think Jackie is bad in everything, even in comedies.

I feel the exact same way, honestly. I saw she landed the lead in this new sci-fi flick, Jupiter Ascending, and the second I realized she was the main woman, I just crossed the movie off my list entirely.

When an actor begins relying solely on a single physical attribute for their craft—for instance, leaning heavily on being a conventionally attractive young star, an athlete, a fighter, or a dancer.
When an actor becomes typecast, essentially trapping themselves within a specific role or genre, resulting in any attempt at something different feeling entirely underwhelming.
Later on, when their career choices inevitably become misses.
When they simply lose interest in the art of acting, despite having once been quite competent performers.
When they grow stagnant, doing just enough work to secure a paycheck without any real passion.
When they begin to overestimate their own range or talent.
Conversely, there is the phenomenon where an actor matures as a person and gains self-awareness, causing the quality of their roles to skyrocket even if their screen time diminishes. (I used to think Lucy Liu was merely a walking irritation capable of nothing more than being annoying, yet she absolutely commanded the screen in a brief moment in Detachment, an indie drama far removed from the typical Hollywood machine.)
Name me a single actor or actress who has never delivered a single bad performance.

Wait, why hasn't anyone even mentioned Paris Hilton yet? Is she just totally excluded from the conversation because people don't view her as an "actress" despite everything she brings to the table? 🤣

Let's stay focused here. That woman is never going to be recognized as an actress. We're talking about the A-list elite.

As Paul Anderson7 suggests—and I find myself inclined to agree—we are dealing with actors who are vastly overrated, wildly overpriced, and occasionally, quite frankly, undeserving of an Oscar. I have no idea who this "Hiltonica" person is supposed to be, but I can assure you, she is certainly not an actress.

I feel compelled to touch upon Gwyneth Paltrow—honestly, I just can't wrap my head around it. It will never, ever make sense to me why she was awarded an Oscar for *Shakespeare in Love*. In my estimation, she had one truly standout performance in *Sliding Doors*, and that’s really where it ends. She strikes me as a fairly mediocre actress, all things considered.

It feels like almost every actress who actually makes it big does it just because they're total divas. Honestly, it’s rare to find someone who is actually a damn good actress instead of just riding a wave of attitude.
