With slightly better cooling for the GPU and memory, here are the updated results.

The Core 2 duo E4300 Radeon 1950 Pro with nForce650i-SLI should be arriving soon.
We will see what can actually be squeezed out of this setup.

I am mostly interested to see how much power the GPU can draw with this improved cooling.
I will post the results here.
Best regards..

I'll post the numbers here.
Later.

Is that an AM2 ???? motherboard?🤣 🤣 🤣
My bad, but you can't put that processor on that board....
Recommendation: Gigabyte DS3

Look, Joseph Carter9... why would I bother photographing a totally stock case that hasn't seen a single mod?
If you're really that curious, I'll snap a picture and send it over via PM—no need to clutter the thread with a plain old basic case....😁

If you really want to see it, I'll snap a photo and send it to your PM. I'm not going to annoy everyone here with pictures of a basic case.😁

No, just take a photo and post it here... Please... I want to see it too.
By the way, what kind of case are you running?

My suggestion: Gigabyte DS3

That motherboard is for Intel Socket 775, not for AM2 processors.
It is a board from this link for info

Check out this link for info on the board.

And why pick that specific board? I think the Gigabyte DS3 would be better for overclocking.😉

The 650i Ultra is actually a pretty solid board... though even with the DS3, you can never be entirely certain if you'll manage to pull some insane FSB out of it, since some people seem to hit a wall right around 330MHz... but honestly, that kind of thing depends on so many different variables... mostly just whether or not you get lucky when you pick it up from the store...

-GeForce 6600 256 mb ddr ram 300/500 mhz

and I even overclock my graphics card to 480/60 mhz

HAHA!!!🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

BEAST👎 😬 🙂 🙂 🙂

intel pentium d 3.2 ghz=>3520
asrock 775i945gz
2×1 gb transcend 533mhz=>560 mhz
80 gb ide hdd 8 mb cache
and a 150 gb wd raptor

---------I'm just using the onboard graphics for now since I don't need anything better yet. I'm planning to grab a new motherboard and a beefy new card (maybe an x1950xtx or an 8800 gtx 768 mb) around October, then I'll try to overclock this processor up to 3.7....

You'd be much better off if you had DDR at 800 MHz; the difference would actually be worth it.

I've got a Pentium 4 800 running at 1700 MHz, 256 MB of RAM, and a 64 MB GPU...
I was checking out Everest and it says my multiplier is sitting at 17.
What program should I use to overclock this thing? And honestly, what kind of results am I even looking at for the CPU?

You can change the Clocking in the BIOS, or just use Clock-gen to do it right from Windows....
Give it a shot. You've got nothing to lose, though I doubt you'll see much of an improvement...😳
Do you even know how to overclock?

I really need some expert help with overclocking... I've got zero experience with this stuff, so please help me out!!!! I'm running an Intel Core duo E4300 with an NF650iSlit-A motherboard and 2 gigs of Kingmax PC6400 RAM at 800 MHz... I heard this processor can be pushed pretty far through overclocking, so I'm wondering how to go about it and what I should do so I don't fry everything... Thanks in advance!!!!!!!🙂

Go ahead and explain it, if it’s not too much trouble.

Do you know how to navigate the BIOS? If you do, look for where it says FSB 100. You'll probably find an option to bump up the FSB. Try increasing it by 1 to 4—say, to 104—then save and reboot into Windows. Keep an eye on your temps using Core Temp. Just keep bumping the FSB until the system fails to boot. That failure point is your max clocking without touching the voltage. If you want more, you can nudge the voltage up slightly to get even more out of the processor. Your RAM is likely running at a 1:1 ratio with the CPU right now—both at 100. The RAM might cause issues, though, so if it does, just lower it so it isn't running 1:1 with the processor anymore. To get the exact specs of your rig, just download Everest.

First off, hello everyone! 🙂
So, here is the situation. I am currently running an AMD Athlon XP 1700 + (1463MHz). I was wondering, does anyone know how I might go about trying to overclock this thing to a higher speed, assuming it is even possible at all?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

My explanation was pretty bad. Just use Google. Bump up the FSB in the BIOS and if you hit a wall, just ask.

.

I have one problem: I can't find that specific setting anywhere. I see "CPU Setup" in the BIOS, but all I can do is pick a speed like 1700+ or 1100 MHz, and then set the CPU frequency somewhere between 100 MHz and 133 MHz. Right now, it's sitting at 133 MHz.

still need help😕
