Am I allowed to suggest an album here? And if so, when exactly does that happen—is there a specific time the poll opens?

There’s this one particular album... honestly, both the record and the artist just hit me right in the feels... I'd really love to hear what you all think about it...

There’s this one album... honestly, it hits me right in the feels, and I’m obsessed with the artist too. I’d really love to hear what you guys think about it...

Of course you can! Go for it. We take suggestions every Thursday, so once we pass midnight, the floor is yours. We used to do "early bird" suggestions, but man, that turned into such a mess... so to keep things running smoothly and stick to the rules, we're doing it this way now.

The poll kicks off once we've gathered 10 suggestions. If we don't hit that number, the poll will go live on Friday at midnight (assuming any of us mods 😬 are still awake and hanging out on the forum, which, let's be real, we usually are!)

I was just thinking about putting that album up. Wanderer beat me to it with Massive Attack. I was already heading down that path back then. I can't see any image attached here. If you were trying to share something, go ahead and upload it again. I'm ready when you are. I'm posting the album cover here. I just saw a new update in the thread, clicked it open, and there it is: Massive Attack - Mezzanine. 🙏

My copy of New Order's Power & Corruption & Lies is the only one that doesn't have Blue Monday on it. 😛

My only issue is my Power, Corruption & Lies CD doesn't have Blue Monday at the top... 😛

By the way, this is an American pressing, I probably should have mentioned that. 😁 I didn't own this version physically, but this album is super important to me personally, especially alongside Blue Monday. It really soundtracked such a great chapter of my life... 🙂

I was also thinking about posting something by Led Zeppelin that isn't necessarily their first record, but man, "Babe I'm gonna leave you" is always right there for me... Sometimes it only takes one single track to tip the scales when you're choosing 😁

EDIT: And hey, someone please think of Sonic Youth. If it wasn't you, I'd be suggesting them in a couple of weeks anyway! 🙂

Steven Newman50 said:It’s the American edition, which is something I probably should have mentioned upfront. 😁 I didn't have the physical copy of this version, but honestly, this album is huge for me, especially when you pair it with Blue Monday 🙂

I was also thinking about picking a Led Zeppelin record that isn't necessarily their debut, though having Madonna on there really tips the scale for me... Sometimes just one track is enough to make the choice for you. 😁

EDIT: Also, someone please bring up Sonic Youth. If you don't do it, I'll probably suggest them in a few weeks anyway. 🙂

Personally, Blue Monday is definitely missing from this specific pressing. I grabbed it from the United Kingdom, so what you see is what you get. Still, there are plenty of other incredible tracks on here... 👍

Since Gerald Jackson48 finally outdid me, I suppose it’s time to give this a spin: Nirvana - Nevermind (1992).

Just one more thing, more or less. She's dear to me and... Crystal I was listening to this around the same time, but honestly, the whole get Ready ( 2001) album doesn't hit quite as hard as Power, Corruption & Lies. It’s just because that one stands out as one of the most essential albums of the entire decade... so, here it is!

Haha, Amanda Robinson4 is partially to blame here. If she hadn't put on New Order, I wouldn't even be listening to Youthe this week. Cause and effect. 🤣

There's a good reason for that, though—it's easily one of the most important albums of the entire decade. That's why I'm bringing it up here.

Is this good? get Ready So? Music CompleteJust make sure analogbear40 doesn't overhear us. 😁

There's gotta be something in the air if we're all thinking of the same albums...
But honestly, this is already such a solid lineup, I'd have a hard time picking a winner. 🙂
P.S. I really hope Casey Flores gets a chance to suggest something soon, assuming someone else hasn't already jumped on the album they were eyeing!

P.S. I'm hoping Casey Flores manages to get his suggestion in before someone else snatches up the album he had in mind. 😁

Definitely one of the tougher weeks to choose from so far, at least for me.

I'd bet anything that even Confusion (August 1983) isn't there, considering it dropped about three months after the album came out...

Thanks for voting for Recoil last week! Honestly, though, I have a feeling I’m going to be completely sidelined again this week...😛
