I can't see anyone's avatar, honestly, you all just look the same to me.
😁I've had my settings like this for a decade now.

Never heard of that Elvis guy, and didn't listen to Kurtović much. Honestly, those three Puscifer albums have at least five classics each, so picking a favorite is tough. Besides, for me, nothing beats their live shows or Psihomodo Pop.

So, you're basically saying you're part gay?😒🤣

Those first three are practically flawless as whole units—I mean, sure, they have weak moments, but they're so well put together that every track feels essential.

While waiting for the devil to show up, that might be my favorite double studio album from this side of the pond—slightly better than Sunčane strane ulice, even. It's a total rock feast, kind of like the Exile on Main street YU-rock vibe.

Yeah, definitely check out Elvis Presley. Myths and legends... it's a blast.

Back when I first started posting on forums, I had this absolutely legendary avatar—some gross, overweight old lady lounging in a bathtub with her legs kicked up, while she’s basically spraying diarrhea everywhere. My whole logic was to filter out any potential intruders or total bores, making sure only the people actually interested in the substance of my posts would stick around.

Don't hate me, but we need to shake things up a bit. This subforum has become way too tame for my taste—it needs more punk energy.

Charles Ramos4 said:If I’m counting correctly, this is that 35th anniversary tour. I caught them back when they were touring during the flu season, and man, they were incredible. Honestly, they’ve always been top-tier for me when it comes to live shows. I’m a bit confused by what Amanda Robinson4 is saying about Seja’s tedious stories potentially killing the vibe of the concert, though. It’s possible she might be overdoing it by a few percent, but personally, I haven't noticed her rambling too much—or maybe I've just gotten used to it over the years and don't even register it anymore. 😁

My little guy, dead drunk, was just sitting there waiting for "Piccola storia de grande amore," but that idiot wouldn't shut up. He kept rambling on and on, so I finally had to snap at him and tell him to "shut the hell up and sing." It didn't do much good—it didn't help the band, and it definitely didn't help the crowd.

If I didn't feel like I was actually dying this morning, I’d probably end up living out my days like some washed-up old politician—just one of those legendary, bottom-of-the-barrel benders that leaves you questioning every life choice you've ever made. Honestly, that was easily one of the worst hangovers of my entire life.

Why don't you suggest some GG Allin instead? I dare you!! 😁

Did they seriously ban you from having any kind of avatar on Odonda? ... That's wild! 😁

Don't hate me, but we really need to shake things up around here! This subforum is starting to feel way too polite for my taste... it needs a serious dose of punk energy!

Anyway, I’ve been sitting here on the fence about whether or not I should actually suggest something for this week... This is it...Anyway, I'll save all that for another time... 🙂

Don't go cranking up the tension here—I've had enough of that on my main Reddit feed. 😁

Everything is forgiven if it results in a legendary night of drinking or great music. "Piccola storia" is an absolute killer of a track.👍

Since you guys brought up gg alin, well, here’s that "das ist walther" vibe... I actually uploaded a few things from Walther over on the US site—specifically Satan "Mary" and "damn it."

I just finished revisiting Myth and Legend by Elvis j Kurtovich. Last time I really sat down with that was back around '87. As a kid, my older brother and I used to belt out that last track together... I think we were headed to the beach or something, but it feels warm in my memory, if that makes sense.

Look, if you aren't looking for anything intellectual and just want some lighthearted, goofy fun to play for a crowd that isn't exactly music snobs, Elvis is fine. It’s good party music. Not bad at all.

Regarding the Walther album—fans will probably argue about this—but I always felt they had this massive potential to evolve into something much bigger. When you listen to Bascarsi, Abid, German... you get the feeling a truly powerhouse band is being born right then and there.

Nell once mentioned that Chicago Blues was basically conceived as a filler track that ended up becoming a hit. To me, that song feels a bit tacky, a step down. I think there are maybe two or three other tracks—actually, let's say two—that look promising and decent, showing real potential.
Then I find myself forcing my way through those other three albums released before the fall of Yugoslavia. I don't know about you guys, but for me, it’s a total drop in quality. Honestly, I get the impression they put everything they had into Walther and that was it. They never hit that peak again; I just don't hear it.
And honestly, if Walther hadn't included Chicago Blues and those other two, it might have sounded even more serious.
But that album serves as a great springboard—it could have carried them so much further if they had just kept developing that specific sound, those themes, and that atmosphere. But instead, it was a total washout... at least from my perspective, trying to be fair.

As for this Kurtovichev album, yeah, it's "party music," but it doesn't sound terrible. It's a bit cheaper entertainment, but okay... if you're throwing a party where all sorts of different people show up, you can't play anything too heavy or else half the room won't get it, but everyone gets this. That's how it is. Maybe someone will post something else next week.

Where exactly were they supposed to "springboard" to with that board of yours? I don't know if you've been paying attention, but Pušenje is easily one of the most iconic bands in all of the former Yugoslavia.

.....let me take a quick look at the poll that was just posted......

Gerald Jackson48 - votes for all the albums suggested, except for the one he proposed himself......

🤔

.....if everyone acted like that, we'd always end up with a perfect tie and never have a winner......or rather, everyone would be a winner......which pretty much defeats the whole purpose of voting, doesn't it?......

.....though maybe that’s exactly what Gerald Jackson48 was getting at......sending us some kind of symbolic message......and given how things have been playing out over the last few weeks, I actually find myself agreeing with him on principle......

Mark Cruz15 said:Where would they even jump off from your little platform? I don't know if you're keeping up here, but Pušenje is one of the most famous bands from the old Yugoslavia era.

Look, that’s not my platform—it’s theirs. If you missed the whole point about the "platform," I was speaking from the perspective of 1984. That was the context. And then later, I was talking about listening to the rest of their stuff from before 1991. You clearly weren't reading closely.

So what if they were one of the most famous? Why are you even bringing that up at me? Just because Mica Trofrtaljka was famous doesn't mean she was actually good. What's your deal?

You're a fan. Fine. I'm not. Pretty sure I'm allowed to have an opinion.

You've got it wrong. Even though I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of Zabranjeno Pušenje, they were actually one of the most toured bands during the 80s. They were massive back then. The catch is that they fall into that category of legendary bands that have somewhat faded from the mainstream today. I don't mean they're completely forgotten, just that they don't command the same level of hype anymore.

Take some American bands like Toto or Cheap Trick, for example; they never really hit the same heights in Europe as heavyweights like Led Zeppelin or The Beatles did, yet they absolutely crushed it in Asia, especially in Japan. Around here, there isn't much of a tradition of listening to Toto or Cheap Trick—mostly because they're terrible—aside from a few specific tracks. The Japanese have always had questionable taste.

@Nathan Murphy/">@@Nathan Murphy, alright, fair enough. That’s how it would play out. From where I’m sitting now, though—honestly? They aren't really hitting the mainstream at all. Sure, they had their moment back in the day, especially with that whole surrealist comedy vibe going on.

As for Toto, I’ve got some single floating around, and if my memory serves, Cheap Trick has that one single "I am looking for a number one" too. And yeah, Toto definitely had a massive hit.

It was way back, probably sometime in the 90s. You know how I first stumbled onto Cheap Trick? I remember watching this interview with Jerry Lynn Ryan. You know, the actress who played "Seven of Nine" on Star Trek Voyager. She was talking about how much she loved them when she was a teenager—said they were her absolute favorite band. So I figured, hey, let's check them out, and that’s how I found them.

Yeah, I managed to find a few decent things, but the rest is just total nonsense...

They’ve got some great stuff. I actually first discovered them through this movie https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079688/. They practically filled the entire film with their tracks, and this particular song is a personal favorite of mine

Now, Toto has more of those massive hits, like Rosanna, Africa, and hold the line...

Basically, the bots are just copying Cheap Trick damn it 😁

Yeah, Toto's "hold the line"—that's definitely the one.

As for Cheap Trick, I actually remember them because I think I had a 7" EP from that movie soundtrack. I'll just do a quick run-through of some stuff I remember being decent—if you dig these, you'll probably dig their other stuff. There's plenty more where that came from, but I really don't feel like digging through my mental archives right now.
