Gerald Jackson48 - voting for all the suggested albums, except for the one he covered himself......

🤔

.....if everyone voted like that, we'd all end up with the same amount of votes and there'd never be a winner......or rather, everyone would be a winner......which pretty much defeats the whole point of having a vote in the first place......

.....maybe that's exactly what WW was trying to get at......sending us some kind of symbolic message......and given how things have been going lately, I actually kind of agree with him......

😁

There's no deep meaning here, I just didn't have the time to write a whole thread. 😁

Besides, Baumann will win regardless of my vote if people find it interesting enough, and if they don't, they won't.

Since the poll is being totally rigged, we’re pulling Larry Wallis's album from the running entirely...

I was honestly just wondering what kind of crazy logic led to this crap beating out every other album by a mere 3 or 4 votes.

Honestly, it’s been one of those rough weeks—just a string of albums that totally missed the mark for me, unfortunately.

@puky, throw a vote in for my Metronomy too! I completely forgot to vote for my own, and while it won't change the outcome, at least it can grab a three.😁

It’s a shame about Josip; even if it didn't quite hit the heights of Diary of a Love, I still feel bad that he didn't see more success.

Don't forget that this was—if I'm not mistaken—not just the greatest concert ever, but easily one of the biggest crowds in history.

Edit - well, maybe not, here's the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ended_concerts

Ugh, my bad. I totally blanked on voting. Honestly, Metallica and Metronomy would’ve walked away with my votes if I hadn't slept on it.

Congrats to Zep and Metallica. And all this talk about manipulation? I don't get it. Didn't people warn everyone about this two weeks ago? Some people just never learn, I guess...

Edit - actually, it is; here's the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ended_concerts

But honestly, at the end of the day, the concert itself matters less than the context. That show in Pasadena back in '91 was more of a symbol marking the end of an era—specifically the collapse of the USSR and the Cold War. Historically speaking, that gives it way more weight than anything else.

As for these pointless polls, I wouldn't have any issue with them if the actual subject matter was worth our time, provided there was a legitimate review attached instead of some half-baked garbage. If you’re that desperate to get picked, try contributing something substantial instead of just slapping on an "Album of the Week" label.

Jason is better than Trujillo, but honestly, Cliff still kills them all. 🎉

"i was on a flight Back fra Germany , and i was looking AT my iPod, and I checked my top ten favorites or whatever, and it was basically just Clutch, Puny human, Fireball Ministry, and Led Zeppelin. Since I was currently tracking stuff in my home studio, I ended up calling everyone except Led Zeppelin—obviously—to come over to my place. We started out working on maybe two or three tracks, but that quickly snowballed into five, then eight, then ten, and now we've actually got twelve songs ready to go."
