I haven't actually sat through it myself—but my husband did, and let's just say he was absolutely appalled by how mindless the plot was. He watched the first one and actually enjoyed it, so he was genuinely looking forward to this sequel, only to finish it and wonder why on earth he even bothered.

The first is great, but the second moves way too fast. They might make a third.
They should probably stop after the second one.

It’s one of those movies where the sequel tries way too hard to outdo the original, but ends up being significantly worse. Kind of like the relationship between Men in Black 1 and 2.

In my opinion, they should’ve ended it after the first part. Any news on a third installment?

The third movie is only happening because the sequel outperformed the original at the box office. They ought to quit after the second; if they make a third, it will likely be even worse.

It might be fun to have him get kidnapped, maybe in Washington, D.C., so his wife and daughter can step up to save him. It would definitely help keep the movie's pacing tight.

Exactly that 🙂 All other options have been exhausted.

Bad.☕
Once the first one was done, there shouldn't have been a need for a second...

This movie might have actually been a decent little flick if it had featured an entirely different cast and hadn't been shackled to being a sequel to a truly great film. As it stands, you can clearly see the studio trying to milk a dying franchise; they managed to scrape by, sure, but that desperate grab at former glory really drags the whole experience down. 4/10

Honestly, this movie is just a total mess.
p.s. I am not Sarin's husband.🙂

I was actually gearing up to sit down and watch the sequel, but after scrolling through these comments, I’m starting to think maybe I should just stick to the first one—which, honestly, blew me away... or maybe I should just dive in anyway so I can actually have a real opinion based on my own experience, I guess I'll have to sleep on it.

My recommendation? Don't bother.

It’s like they don't even care, right? Whether the sequel actually outdid the original or not doesn't matter to them—all that counts is the bottom line. And I assume that’s the exact same logic they'll apply to a potential third one.

I don't know about you guys, but honestly? Every single scene from that first movie felt absolutely epic to me.

I still can't wrap my head around why this movie got a sequel. The plot is just painfully cliché.
It’s some teenager getting kidnapped during a summer trip to Washington, D.C., because her dad is an American spy or whatever—honestly, I wasn't even paying attention.
To me, this whole thing is just pure junk food cinema. 🤷

I’m calling it now: the third installment is definitely going to snag Liam Neeson, but here’s the kicker—he’s going to realize he actually has a clone that government agencies have been prepping behind the scenes for ages. Once that clone figures out his "bros" totally screwed him over, he isn't just going to take them out in the third movie (because let's face it, he’s way more brutal than the original). Instead, he’ll hop in a time machine, head back to the first and second movies, and team up with his former self to pull off some absolute miracles! That way, we get ourselves a total triple-pack of pure brutality. Just adding a little spice to the sci-fi to give the sequel some actual substance 🙂

They didn't kidnap her for that reason...

The first one was actually great, but the second? Total garbage.

I happened to come across some speculation suggesting that the third installment might reveal the daughter's boyfriend is actually the sole surviving son of Radin. Honestly, I am sincerely hoping they don't bother making a third one.
I suppose I am part of a small minority who actually sat through the first film after finishing the second. I must admit, even the original wasn't particularly impressive.

It’s pure action, and if you're looking for a deep plot, you're going to be disappointed. Just like most action flicks.

That would be pretty ridiculous, wouldn't it?

Man, 😬 Liam Neeson is still at it with "Run All Night".

And don't even get me started on Non-Stop. 😁
