So, I picked up some random, off-brand Chinese Bluetooth adapter, and honestly... it’s been a headache. It just refuses to play nice whenever I try to pair it with my hands-free gear, like my wireless headphones. Now I’m looking to just bite the bullet and order something actually decent from eBay.
The problem is, trying to sift through the garbage to find something high-quality is exhausting...
I'm not interested in just blindly following the big-name brands, either—because let's be real, they often charge a massive premium for outdated tech that should have been obsolete years ago.
One listing says it uses a Boeing 747 protocol—wait, no, it says BT500, then another says BT400...
then there's stuff that doesn't even mention versions, just "Class 2."
One spot says version 2.1, another says 4.0... it's all just a confusing mess of numbers.
I just want something reliable with a solid range.
Here’s the handful of things I managed to pull together...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GMYLE-Blueto...wAAOSwT5tWMxtH
There’s this one from Hewlett-Packard... http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-bt500-Blu...wAAOS5ZBWPwyo
Then there's this Delock option... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Delock-Adapt...wAAOSwd2xXQC3e I actually bought a USB hub and a USB-to-serial adapter from them at a local shop once, and I didn't have any issues with those, so they seem alright.
And this one from Hama... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hama-Bluetoo...YAAOSw3mpXHQBW
If anyone has a better suggestion, feel free to drop a link. I'd love to hear what you guys think is actually worth the money.
