I need to chew on this and definitely make some tweaks to the rulebook. This whole situation is just plain stupid and feels wrong.
Once I come up with a decent fix, I'll pitch the rule changes and we can see if they actually work.

Look, it’s fine. It’s not the first time this happened, and strictly speaking, it’s totally legit according to the rulebook. Nothing controversial there.😉
I just think we need better regulations so this doesn't happen so often.

It’s the same deal as when a bidder is allowed to wait for practice sessions to snag a better starting position—it’s a gamble, and if you lose because you played it too smart, that’s on you.

Personally, I'm cool with it. No issues here.
If I changed anything, I'd make the initial bid mandatory within a specific timeframe.
After that, you can play whatever tactics you want; if your opponent counters your move, don't cry about it.😁
But honestly, having no initial bid at all? That's just stupid.🤷

Everything after that first offer is basically just player choice.

The way I envisioned it was making that first bid mandatory. Like, if someone fails to send an offer in the first round, the next available reserve steps up automatically in Round 2.😳

Besides, what’s even the point of having a rule about Tuesday at midnight if nobody's expected to follow it anyway? 😕 I'm not really following your logic with that rule.

honestly, I think it’s pretty lame too. if someone can't manage to get a bid written up by Tuesday, then they should just wait until midnight Wednesday because right now it just looks totally ridiculous—and honestly, kind of unfair😳 if they're trying to play games, they should just put down the best bid they can possibly imagine instead of just watching the practice sessions to see who's looking fast. 🤷 but whatever, I'm not going to make a huge scene about it, I just started playing this recently😁

I am out here working my tail off trying to pick smart pairings and types just to snag a win, while she basically cruises through without even breaking a sweat—it’s incredibly unfair.🙂

That's what I'm wondering too, especially since the Championship and Tournament game is active on the forum. If I remember the rulebook correctly, it says this kind of behavior will be looked into further.☕
