ruggedhawk20 said:That’s what you call a helmet. That’s how it looks when you can actually afford to hire a decent graphic designer.

Exactly. That’s what happens when you jump from working for a brewery straight into the world of Formula 1.

That helmet looks absolutely überkitsch. If you ask the haters, they’d probably tell you that the gear is just a perfect reflection of the driver himself.

And you were busy drooling over Cevert's helmet, weren't you!?

Vettel's helmet is basically a nod to Cevert's—except Cevert's was pure überkitsch, while Vettel's is actually decent and fits the 21st century.

The only thing worth saving from that whole Ferrari era—from Kimi and Sebastian to those digital executives—is the helmet design. Honestly, it looked much better on his very first day at Ferrari before they cluttered it up with all that German flag coloring...
It’s a massive improvement compared to those ridiculous Red Bull helmets, where it felt like he was practically "trapped" by a contract that forced the Red Bull logo onto every single one of his gear pieces...

Honestly, Vettel's helmet is clearly taking cues from Cevert's style—except Cevert's look is total überkitsch, while Vettel's version is just tastefully dialed-in for the 21st century.

Well, if you say so... 🙂

So this is Joži's winning theory for today... personally, I'm seeing more of Senna's vibe in Vettel's helmet—except Senna had those horizontal stripes, while these guys went with vertical ones...
but hey, at least there's some artistic consistency there...

Vettel's helmet looks absolutely fantastic; there is something so striking about its simplicity and how much it catches the eye 👍

Senna's???? Senna—along with about a hundred other legends—has horizontal stripes on his helmet

Cevert and Vettel are pretty much the only ones rocking vertical ones

I have to say, that first white design was much better:

White, featuring that perfectly integrated red stripe above the visor.

This newer one? Not as much for me:

I don't mind the inclusion of the German flag in the helmet pattern, but there were better ways to pull that off.

He should have just copied Frentzen's design, those thin lines... and honestly, thank God for that.

Honestly, it’s just uninspired and pretty much whatever 🥱

I mean, you know what they say—you are what you drive, or in this case, you are what's on your head, though the haters might argue the helmet actually reflects the driver.🐔

darkmarlin16 said:Completely uninspired and just plain dull. 🥱

One might say that a driver’s helmet is merely a reflection of his soul—or perhaps just his lack of imagination, if the critics are to be believed.🐔

We are talking about a four-time world champion here.
And yet, this helmet design? It is singular, striking, and frankly, badass.
I suppose the skeptics would argue that certain Alonso fans have once again gathered just to take aim at Vettel, though I can find no actual reason for such hostility. 🍿

But that helmet design? It’s unique and just plain badass.
Of course, the haters—probably just some die-hard Alonso fans looking for any excuse to talk trash about Vettel (for absolutely no reason, naturally)—would love to disagree.🍿

I don't care if he wins a billion championships, that helmet is still going to be uninspired and totally mediocre.

That helmet—one of a kind and badass.
Haters would say some of Alonso's fans are out here dragging Vettel again—for absolutely no reason, obviously. 🍿

Seriously, what the hell is even happening!?

Losing 18 seconds is plenty of reason—

if you ask me.

Is eighteen seconds even enough time to find a reason?

Though I suppose it’s quite an occasion in its own right, isn't it?

🙂

Actually, it’s more than enough.

The helmet features a stunning paint job. 🙏 Honestly, it’s surprisingly high-quality compared to what we usually see. It actually reminds me of the superior finish you'd find on premium motorcycle helmets, like those from Shoei or Vemar.

Critics would probably claim some Alonso fans are back at it again, taking aim at Sebastian Vettel (for absolutely no reason, naturally).🍿

Fair enough, but where exactly did you see a plural?
