In this total disaster, that’s actually kind of encouraging news. At least we know he's still breathing...
There's still a glimmer of hope. I'm praying everything pulls through in the end.

It wasn't about the rain or any other factor; the second Sutil went off, the SC should have been out on track immediately.
Honestly, it would have been better to leave the car right where it sat rather than trying to haul it out that way—hitting a stationary car is one thing, but getting struck by a heavy loader? That impact wouldn't even come close to being as devastating as hitting a piece of construction equipment.

I'm listening to BBC now and they're talking about "pools of water" instead of just puddles... basically where everyone ended up spinning out.
We can't even tell how much of a mess they were actually in.
It’s not the tires or the rain. A ton of drivers were on intermediates and driving just fine.
The real issue is these ridiculous cars and their brake-by-wire systems, plus the KERS charging and all those electronic gimmicks that drivers can't actually control properly...
I mean, look at Caterham, Marussia, and Sauber—they're constantly spinning out on dry tracks because their rear ends just snap loose without warning...
Good grief, even Ericson spun out during the SC today on wet tires while barely going any fast...
And this was the first decent run in the rain with these new cars... if they were hard to drive in the wet before, they're even worse now.😉

@ Matt, Matt Massa was sent straight to the scrap heap (😬). He didn't throw a tantrum like Bezze suggested, and honestly, I think he just smelled trouble coming—it’s clearly bothering some sensitive soul who can't handle a little rain
. I'm telling you, we should have listened to him
.
Hopefully, we'll eventually figure out who’s actually at fault here
. They both lost traction at the exact same spot anyway

Emily Patel64 said:@ tibi, Matt Massa was driving through hell (😬). He didn't scream like everyone claims, and some random person complaining about the rain clearly missed how he could sense things were going south
My point is, we should've listened to him
I guess we'll find out who's actually at fault eventually
They both slid out at the exact same spot, anyway
Look, it’s easy to play general after the war is over...
Besides, Matt Massa always starts yelling whenever it rains—nothing new there 😉
The real issue is with CW and the fact that Ferrari didn't get out on track right after Sutil's spin, not the damn rain...

I honestly think there’s a breaking point—once the rain starts hitting hard enough, those spots people call "puddles" start turning into real problems for the track layout rather than just minor inconveniences.

I’m really hoping the full truth comes out soon. It feels like we've been left hanging for way too long... I just hope it isn't the worst-case scenario.

Honestly, with all this silence, I’ve been bracing for the absolute worst...
So even hearing that he's in surgery is a relief in its own way (as much as that makes sense). At least there's still a glimmer of hope that things turn out okay.🙂

So, I just caught the latest update on Bianchi
and apparently things are looking up—the doctors managed to handle the hematoma
swelling in his head, so now he
is actually breathing on his own without any help.

That's decent news, I guess.
Basically means he's doing better than Schumacher did.
We won't know just how much "better" we're talking about for maybe ten days or so.
Still, there's always that chance things go south overnight—the first night is always the big one. But hey, since he's an active athlete, his odds are probably higher.

Wait... wasn't the whole point of those ultra-low noses from the FIA to help out? Wasn't that regulation actually introduced for safety reasons?

George Ramos15 said:Oh, come on... weren't those super low noses mandated by the FIA specifically to help out? Wasn't that whole thing supposed to be all about safety...
I mean, I honestly have no clue how that's supposed to do anything for a side impact.

It’s possible, since the entire car would end up sitting higher, just like how they used to be before 2012.
#116 ·
Alright. It’s not actually that bad. This photo is looking pretty optimistic—helmet looks more or less fine. Just lucky he didn't go out like Maria de Villota

That last photo actually gives me some hope 👍
Maybe everything's gonna be just fine after all 🙂

All this picture shows is that the visor stayed in one piece, which isn't exactly a guarantee for anything, unfortunately...

Hopefully, everything is going to turn out fine, right? 🙂
I'm with you on that.

Is it actually possible that there isn't a single clip showing the exact moment of the crash? I've been hunting for that one shot, but it’s just a total blank everywhere...
