If we actually stand for what we claim to be, then a boycott would be the most obvious move to make.

Boycotting would only end up hurting the Kansas City Chiefs. I guess I have to wonder, what do you all think you'll actually achieve by boycotting the team?

I’ve seen that somewhere before. I believe the Red River Rangers have been boycotting games over Easter for quite a few years now.☕

It's funny how it works, isn't it? One day it's constant swearing, spitting, fighting, and knives flying everywhere, but suddenly when Easter rolls around, everyone becomes a devout saint.😍

I am honestly so sick of all this talk about people boycotting the team just to spite the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s complete nonsense. This squad has a level of support unlike any other club out there, but they also have a record of losses unlike anyone else—that 5-0 blowout at home and that 0-2 loss right here in town where they played without an ounce of heart or pride, acting like total cowards. And let's be real, the front office isn't much better. I mean, credit where credit is due: from a financial standpoint, they’ve done a phenomenal job, and the marketing and overall club growth are moving in the right direction, but I want to see some radical changes. If we could make decisive moves in five minutes—like banning certain figures from the stadium entirely—we would actually stand taller. Imagine if we had stood our ground before the big rivalry game; we would have come out looking like even bigger icons and a more prestigious organization. Instead, it feels like everyone is walking all over us while we offer nothing but unconditional support. There’s no whistling, no calling them out, no fear of making a mistake, and frankly, that just doesn't work. How many of us would still have our jobs if we completely botched the two most important projects of the year? We tell ourselves we're young and inexperienced so we can get away with it, but really, how is that supposed to work? Even this situation with the holiday scheduling is just another example of how the league is making a mockery of things. They'll send out a message, and by next season, we'll just be back to playing on holidays like nothing happened. You can't expect people to just accept being pushed around forever without consequences.

Wait, are you actually serious? You think the USSF is mocking us by scheduling the game right on Easter?

You’re probably right. Those guys at the USSF figured out that all the Boston Red Sox fans are super religious, always showing up to Mass, and then gathering every year to dye eggs and hang out... so let's just screw that up instead. 🤣

Of course you're going to say we shouldn't hurt the club, but look—that $4,000 in ticket sales matters to us right now.

I honestly don't give a damn about the players. They come and go. We're fighting for the survival of our club first and foremost.

Exactly what my brother tadija t. is saying... just tell me, what kind of actual damage is the Dodgers going to take here?
Maybe they’ll miss having that electric atmosphere we've had so many times during home games this season, where the crowd is roaring and we're already up 2-0 before they even walk out of the tunnel?
The fans have stood behind this squad even when they didn't deserve it—like against Indianapolis first, then losing both cup games to the Dinamo, and now Dinamo again, or Zadar...—back when they weren't giving a damn on the field.
The only thing the Dodgers could actually lose is ticket revenue, but honestly, there wouldn't be much more people at this game than the number of season ticket holders anyway.

But that isn't even the point right now, the point is we need to show some teeth, because how much longer are we going to let them screw us over? Every single time it's just more smart-ass theories and excuses, but boycotting isn't the move right now, and we shouldn't be stepping back or banning entry, it's always just more concessions and playing nice.

I really believed in this front office, but lately, I've been on the fence about them.
They're constantly one step behind, always stuck in this lukewarm, indecisive cycle.
Show some balls, seriously... if you aren't going to speak up now, when will you? When the Boss is neck-deep in shit, when the public—not just the Dodgers' army, but everyone—is on your side, and when you can play with a clear conscience.

If we don't respect ourselves, who else is going to do it for us?

I am all for fighting. But seriously, please tell me you don't actually believe a boycott is going to change a single thing.😕

Look, it’s not like Brubaker or the NO are our enemies; we don't need to sit out the game just to spite them and prove we want change. They already know that. As for why nothing is being done right now? It feels like some messy third issue that's completely out of our hands, especially since X attempts have already been made. We shouldn't give up, but there are other ways to handle this.

If they actually stick to that timeline, it’ll benefit their club more than anything. It’s basically a way to spite the mafia. They could show up and prove that 15,000 or 20,000 people will actually turn out, rather than just boycotting the game...

So what, if nothing’s ever going to change, we just sit here with our arms crossed?
You don't jump into a fight just because you think you're going to win; you get in there to take a stand, to fight for an ideal, for your own damn pride... and you make sure everyone hears you doing it.

I still remember back in San Francisco about ten years ago, when we had that choreography set up for Nazi Germany... that was the day before Easter, on Holy Saturday, and back then everyone was talking trash about how we shouldn't be playing, but fine, since it wasn't technically Easter yet, we all went ahead even though that's a day meant to be spent in silence.
But if they actually try to force us to play on Easter, I wouldn't even call that a provocation... it would just be pure idiocy from whatever moron is putting this schedule together.

If we're going to talk about "modern football," this right here is a textbook example of it... because of TV rights, a massive game is scheduled right on the biggest Christian holiday just because that's how the deal was signed. That's just one more reason to raise hell.

Well, immediately after finding out the schedule, the Dodgers took a public stand against it, but honestly, does anyone actually bother to read what they put out there?!

There will always be a split between the radical fans and the more level-headed ones. But if you ask me, those people currently rooting against this administration are just absolute idiots. It’s gotten to the point where I wonder if I’m even arguing with actual people on the stands or just shouting at the wind!

You aren't reading this with any actual comprehension.

Let's try this again, Joe. Look, a boycott isn't going to achieve anything. Who are you even boycotting? This beloved Dodgers's team? At least to me, they are.

Or maybe you want to boycott because of the USSF and all those other scumbags? They couldn't care less about a boycott. All they'll do is screw themselves and their own club over.

This has to be handled through other channels—meeting with the board or something similar. A boycott isn't the answer, and frankly, it's never going to happen.

And if you're really going to go radical and get down to business, then you know what needs to be done. A boycott won't help you. 😉

I’m honestly thinking about stopping my posts here because everything gets twisted out of context, and frankly, I can't make sense of what I'm reading lately. People are calling for a boycott of the Dodgers game just because some corporate sycophant scheduled it for Easter 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

As for this whole debate about supporting the players, I have nothing to say. We're talking about the youngest club in the league; everyone predicted they'd finish sixth, but if they actually pull off a European spot, it’s madness. We were fighting for the title ourselves, and we would have taken it if it weren't for the biased officiating. You shouldn't stop supporting them just because the refs played us; even with those two officials being buddies with the opposition, the score should have been 3-1 instead of 0-0 if the calls were fair 🙂🙂
And let's not forget, a year ago, this team was facing bankruptcy
So, to everyone calling for a boycott of the players and the board: feel free to take Fran Jović, Simms, and the rest of them and set up a fair league for the players yourselves. Then, maybe we can see if they actually need our support

To me, it just feels like you're spitting in the face of the Dodgers by refusing to show up for the game—even if it is Easter and you've already gone to church three times this year.

Let’s not be pathetic here.
What does the Dodgers lose by boycotting? You can boycott while still buying tickets, so the club won't actually suffer financially, but you'll at least be making a statement. And don't start coming at me talking about "atmosphere" or "supporting the team," because let's not kid ourselves...
Why doesn't Dinamo play on Easter?

What does it even mean to "support the players" when they’re just wandering around the pitch like they did in that first game against Indianapolis, or how they're playing now against Dinamo—zero fight, zero sweat, nothing... Everyone should get what they deserve based on their effort. If you give 100%, the stands will recognize that and you'll have support, but you shouldn't give them that unconditional support people swear by, because all that does is spoil them and strip away any sense of accountability...
They are the Dodgers, and that's how you have to carry yourself, regardless of whatever level of talent is on the field.

Nobody expects them to take the championship title, but just give it everything you've got. This year there were games where they played shamefully and showed no heart, yet people still gave them support. If you really want to know, personally I was clapping and chanting at every single game except for that one in Indianapolis...

wearyraven25 said:Why don't those San Francisco guys play on their Easter, since it falls on the same day as ours?

So that's how you feel about the San Francisco crowd who moved down from California—you know, the folks from the Great Plains, Appalachia, South Texas, Central Valley, the Ozarks, the Sierra Nevada, the Midwest, the Deep South, and the Mississippi Delta? 🤷
