I wasn't watching Sky, so I missed it... kind of a shame. Maybe someone will upload it to YouTube soon...🙄

Looking back at it, it honestly looks like they were convinced he was about to lap them, so they started moving out of the way too early.🤣
Naletil was driving so fast he practically terrified them. 🙏🤣
Bottas definitely cleared out once he saw that twenty-meter blue flag waving at him.😁

Lotus's Kimi Räikkönen basically said Sergio Pérez deserves a "punch in the face." 😁
Just smash him, Kimi. 🤣
Man, it's been way too long since we saw some actual drama in the paddock. 🤣

I can only imagine what the press conference would've looked like after that...
Reporter: Kimi, did you swing at Pérez on purpose?
Kimi: Nope. 😎
Reporter: But you broke his nose, there's video footage right here.
Kimi: I was just waving at someone from Germany and he just happened to run straight into my hand...

🤣

In my opinion, the decision made here was actually the right call.😉
Just give back the position you gained illegally and move on. What really gets under my skin is how the stewards are inconsistent—one time they'll let you hand back a position, and the next time they'll slap you with a penalty for the exact same thing.
I'm not specifically talking about Alonso or saying he deserved some massive punishment, but that's just how I see it.😉

if you ask me.🙂

It was pretty funny seeing Kimi Räikkönen tear into Pérez, calling him an idiot and all that because he crashed into his car...
He seems to have forgotten that he ended up slamming into Adrian Sutil at almost the exact same spot, driving in like a total amateur...😬

You can't just follow the rulebook blindly; you have to account for the specific characteristics of each track.
Not every corner is created equal.
This isn't a wide-open circuit in Germany where you have five meters of runoff on the side. Here, being just half a meter too far left or right means you're either:
1. hitting the wall
2. colliding with another driver
Regarding the situation with Alonso, the rule is simple: you are required to yield to your opponent, nothing more. That alone should be enough of a penalty, especially at the Monaco Grand Prix.
It honestly irritates me when I read people on Autosport arguing that drivers should be allowed to pit just to get around this. Give me a break.

I honestly can't decide who deserves the title of driver of the race. Was it Adrian Sutil? Sergio Pérez? Or maybe Kimi Räikkönen during those final two laps?

The flop was painfully obvious....

Against all odds, the race actually turned out to be quite satisfying.

I wonder what they did to him 😁

I just stumbled upon this and figured I’d drop it here in case anyone missed it, though most of us probably saw it already—you were quick on the draw, though 🙂
Regardless, Kimi is a master; there isn't much else to say about it 😁

Then you have Fernando Alonso claiming he’s in the middle of a championship fight, so he has to be careful—or rather, he's being prevented from overtaking—while everyone else just goes absolutely wild attacking him.
Honestly, this whole tactical approach of his isn't working anymore. One moment he's driving like an absolute maniac, and the next he's just hovering, looking for any tiny window to shave off a single second.
Today was just frustrating to watch. He didn't make a single move to pass, didn't try to open up the car at all; he just sat there following the guy in front. I'm starting to seriously doubt if the Red Bull is actually faster than the Ferrari.

Whatever. Given this erratic rhythm we've been stuck in, I’m actually expecting a win in Canada.

Yeah, it was a total horror show for Ferrari. It's not on Alonso. Honestly, I think those soft tires just don't suit this car at all. Not to mention the cold track.

I haven't really stressed about it, despite the miserable luck drivers in red always seem to have. There's no point in beating myself up over it.
It's high time someone else had a reason to celebrate. One person's gloom is another's sunshine. So, cheers to Sukki, and honestly, to all the haters too. Who cares who McLaren decides to put in their first driver seat—some of them clearly need a psychiatrist.
And I almost forgot—it’s practically unheard of, but apparently, a McLaren driver actually complained to the FIA about his teammate (or rather, his rival). Maybe he should go complain to Queen Elizabeth next.

Sebastian Vettel is a different breed entirely.
Look, I like the guy, but I have to call him out for that nonsense regarding the fastest lap right at the end.

Both he and the crew spend the whole time whining and complaining about the tires, only for him to suddenly drop a two-second faster lap right before the finish. That tells me those tires still had plenty of life left in them.
Why didn't he just step on it earlier and actually go toe-to-toe with Nico Rosberg? Instead, he just prefers to grumble, only to finish the race looking dominant on the very same tires he was just bellyaching about.

Sergio Perez is an idiot who doesn't have an ounce of respect for anyone.
It’s pathetic seeing someone like that driving for McLaren, who, by the way, keeps encouraging him on track even after watching his usual dirty tricks.
Why "dirty tricks," you ask? The Fernando Alonso and Ferrari haters will probably chime in.

It's simple.
In my book, overtaking Jenson Button was barely passable.
But what he did to Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen was straight-up pure, unadulterated savagery.

First off, just dive in like a coward and brake incredibly late. So late that you leave zero room for the driver you're passing, practically forcing them off the track. That isn't skill, bravery, or even being gutsy—it’s just being a thug. Any idiot can do that.

Second, both Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen are fighting for the title. Driving like that—essentially inviting a collision or at least some kind of incident—is a massive insult to them. He's just exploiting their situation, knowing they have to be careful and can't afford to take unnecessary risks. By what right does he think he gets to interfere with the championship fight like that?
By some stroke of luck, Fernando Alonso actually ended up profiting from it. Coincidence, sure. But how many points did he steal from Kimi Räikkönen? And what's your point in that?

Like I said, an idiot.

Amanda Kelly, I couldn't agree more with everything said here.
Look, I have a soft spot for aggressive drivers. I love seeing someone hunt for a way past when the odds are stacked against them, but there has to be a line. I actually noted this during the race before the contact happened between Kimi Räikkönen and Sergio Perez during that first overtake attempt. Both of them went wide specifically because Sergio Perez charged in like a total maniac and just couldn't hold his line. If we had any other less experienced drivers sitting in the seats of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen, we almost certainly would have seen a collision right then and there.
Unfortunately for me, even Kimi Räikkönen’s veteran experience wasn't enough to prevent contact during the second attempt.
I did a bit of reading into what both drivers had to say. Perez is absolutely convinced he’s not even remotely at fault; in his mind, Kimi Räikkönen should have left him more room. Meanwhile, Kimi politely pointed out that Perez needs to stop expecting everyone else to read his mind and assume what he's going to do just so they'll give him space.
It was a brainless move. He completely ruined his own race, and even worse, he effectively stripped Kimi Räikkönen of nine massive points in the championship hunt.

Someone needs to step up and tell him to look around once in a while. Being aggressive is great, sure, but you can also be aggressive while actually using your brain—something Sergio Perez clearly isn't doing.

Edit-baš, I just stumbled upon Kimi Räikkönen's team radio following Perez's first attempt.

Don't try to drag me into the Red Bull camp😛 I'm not some mindless cultist😬

My comment was primarily about that first attempt by Kimi Räikkönen to overtake; the one on Fernando Alonso was just okay, but I'm sticking to my guns—there had to be someone less experienced behind the wheel there for it to have been such a wreck.😉

It’s honestly pathetic seeing someone like him driving for McLaren, especially since they actually encourage his dirty moves during the race.
And I bet the Alonso and Ferrari haters are already asking why it's considered "dirty."

Well, it's pretty simple.
I'd say overtaking Jenson Button was borderline, but at most.
What he did to Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen, though? That was straight-up reckless, high-level savagery.

First off, you just charge in like a complete maniac and brake incredibly late. We're talking so late that you leave zero room for the driver you're passing, basically forcing them off the track by sheer force. That isn't skill, bravery, or even being gutsy—it's just pure chaos. Any amateur can drive like a lunatic.

Second, both Alonso and Kimi are right in the middle of a title fight, and driving like that—basically inviting a collision or a massive accident—is a total slap in the face to them. He's just exploiting the fact that they have to be careful and can't afford to risk a wreck because of their championship standings. Since when does he get to decide how the title fight plays out?
By some weird stroke of luck, Alonso actually ended up benefiting from it. But seriously, how many points did he strip away from Kimi Räikkönen? And what does that even matter?

Like I said, the guy's an idiot.

Spot on!
I couldn't agree more, word for word.
On another note, does Perez actually think he can build a real career in Formula 1?
Does anyone remember a driver from back in the day who could actually make it further than three or four seasons with that kind of reckless style?
Elio de Cesaris might be in a league of his own, but let's be real, he never even had a seat in a top-tier team anyway.

Looking at this results table now, I gotta wonder—what is even happening over at Williams?
If they aren't scoring points, I at least expected them to be fighting for them on this track—they’ve always been solid here.
Why can't they just tweak last year's car to fit this year's regs? Honestly, I don't think it could perform any worse than what we're seeing right now.

What happened to that crew that used to actually dominate the field?!
