He actually managed to get under his skin too.
And then he basically forced him into doing those interviews...
Kimi, all those feelings and quotes... wtf?
Seriously, tell me when anyone else has pulled that off. Not even when he was winning titles.

And I guess when Kimi gets pissed, it looks exactly like those last two laps. 😍

It was only a matter of time before this happened. Those previous "successful" attempts—if you can even call those needle-thin margins successes—just gave him a false sense of confidence. He thought he could pull it off against Kimi, but nope. Impossible.

Something like that, though you have to give him credit... he's got heart. A lot of it.🙏
I can't wait to see what he does once McLaren actually builds a decent car instead of this total junk heap.
The kid's got massive potential, and honestly, this just makes him even better.
Man, he absolutely terrified the world champions. From here on out, they’re going to be shaking in their boots before they even get near him.😬
And honestly, anyone at the top of the food chain should probably think three times before trying to muscle him around...

Anthony Baker84 said:To be fair, Grosjean didn't really mess up here, but that’s just how it goes. It’s like driving in LA—no matter what happens, if you tap the bumper of the guy in front of you, somehow it’s always your fault for not keeping enough distance. 😬)

Something like that, though I can't seem to find the actual footage of the crash...
I honestly have no clue what Ric was doing mid-race. I can't wrap my head around why he braked so early or why he was being such a snail out there.

Anthony Baker84 said:Sutil was a total genius at sniffing out openings—he absolutely played both Alonso and Button.

I just sat through that old replay where he absolutely crushed it in Monaco, right before Kimi completely screwed everything up at the finish line.
Funny how he managed to claw his way back this time, and specifically thanks to Kimi.

Anthony Baker84 said:Kimi over the last two laps... man, good grief. How on earth did he just slice through that entire field like they weren't even there?

Proof that these guys were just dragging each other along... and doing a terrible job of it.
Aside from the fact that Caterham managed to snag fastest lap at some point, this race was anything but normal.🤣
Even Kimi absolutely jumped them. Honestly, I feel like I’m missing a huge chunk of the story... if my memory serves, he was P16 coming out of the pits...
EDIT: if my memory serves...
http://en.mclarenf-1.com/index.php?p...o%20Hulkenberg
Good grief, being 20 seconds behind Hulko in just 8 laps...🙏

Anthony Baker84 said:Was Alonso even racing, or was he just sightseeing in Monaco?

Button is an even bigger tourist than Alonso.

Apparently, Alonso had a piece of someone else's front wing stuck to his car, so his aerodynamics were totally trashed...
I didn't even doubt that Ferrari would find some excuse for him.😬

As for Button's excuse, I haven't a clue...
Though it looks like he's nearing retirement; Perez is already straight-up bullying him, and even whining isn't helping anymore...
And it's funny how he suddenly forgot all about complaining regarding team orders...
Man, what a snitch, tattling on his own teammate to the Elizabeth Hughes.🙏🤣
All in all, regardless of the result, his race was actually worse than Hamilton's in Barcelona.

Anthony Baker84 said:Thank God Rosberg finally managed to pull off a half-win.

Masalah, glad things finally went his way.👍
Though if you ask me, Chilton handed him the win... if there hadn't been that tire change mid-stint on the grid, he would've snatched it easily.

Let them try it themselves😛
they'll end up just like all the other McLaren drivers🤣

We've got Webber 😉
and he doesn't just let people walk over him.😁

Though, if you ask me—and he looks like he’s practically eyeing retirement anyway—Perez is absolutely laying into him at this point, and even all the whining in the world isn't helping his case...

He claimed the fault lies entirely with himself—that he simply didn't anticipate getting overtaken there—so I suppose he's learned his lesson now.

First, he’s gotta get past Webber.☕
Once he actually tries to make a move on him, he'll get slapped back so hard he won't even dare look at that blue car for the next few years.😬

Besides, he's way too slow compared to Vettel anyway.😍

Rosberg is absolutely dominating out there. He’s driving with such authority that he isn't even giving anyone a chance to catch his slipstream—even though back in Monaco, the gap was practically non-existent. Vettel really capitalized on the opening he was given, while Alonso and Hemoš were just middle-of-the-road performers. Kimi struggled, and honestly, Button was just terrible. Now, we all just wait for the spectacle in Canada.

I honestly don't get your logic. How on earth are Alonso and Hemoš "mediocre" while Button is "terrible"?🤣

Alonso gained one spot from his grid position, and that's even with someone ahead of him basically giving up early...
Hamilton dropped 2 spots from his grid position.
Kimi fell 5 spots, but let's be real—between that crash near the end and an extra pit stop in a race where everyone was basically glued within twenty seconds of each other...
Button moved up 3 spots from his grid position, and somehow he's the terrible one.😁

Alonso was absolutely subpar.

As for Hamilton, he's just a victim of bad tactics and an unlucky SC.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Hands down, this was Fernando's absolute worst race of the season. There's zero debate about it.

The season?
I can't recall a worse performance from Fernando since he joined Ferrari.

🤦

I would ask the moderator to please edit the post above... just to correct my unfortunate little slip of the tongue.

Seasons?
I truly cannot recall a more disastrous performance from Fernando since he joined Ferrari.

Does anyone actually know where the fault lies—is it Alonso or is it the race car?

I find this inconsistent performance from Ferrari completely baffling... shouldn't they look toward Red Bull Racing and finger, who seem to deliver excellence every single weekend? ☕

Vettel remains the youngest driver in Formula 1 history to reach 50 podiums. 🙏

I am waiting for Ferrari to finally pull themselves together... this instability is genuinely concerning... they simply cannot seem to string two decent races together.

It is quite interesting that finger, nor his boss, makes any mention of the tires... had they lost out (that is to say, if they were in Alonso's position), I suspect Bernie and the FIA would be making quite a fuss. 🙂

That Red Bull Racing team is certainly an unpredictable entity.

The race car wasn't performing perfectly, sure. But let's be honest—Alonso falling asleep at the wheel is the real reason he lost positions three separate times.

Like someone already pointed out—it was basically a sightseeing tour.

Red Bull Racing is a weird one.

Who told you that?🤣
And what do you think about Vettel's comment about everyone driving like tourists on a bus through Monaco and nobody actually enjoying the drive anymore?

And Hamilton? Just a victim of bad strategy and a poorly timed SC.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Basically, you just need a miracle to pull that off...

I don't get why everyone is obsessed with Hamilton... Sky Sports had a great breakdown earlier explaining he was just told to build a 6-second gap... which is honestly stupid since 3 seconds is plenty these days. But even crazier, he actually built an 11-second gap over Rosberg...
all in all, two mistakes in one.

It’s also wild that Mercedes even tried to squeeze in that extra lap when it was obvious an SC was coming and they were just sitting ducks...
They had two laps where they could have pitted, but instead, they tried to cram both drivers into that later, much riskier window...

Not exactly my brightest moment. Can someone give me a quick rundown?

Who, when, and how—and what are the actual consequences—of pitting once the Safety Car hits the track?
