02,00 Huachipato - Fluminense 2 2,00 SS

The odds on the away side look worth a shot here. Huachipato has had an absolutely pathetic start to the season—they haven't managed a single win at home in four matches and have only found the back of the net once... honestly. The only thing even remotely worth mentioning was that 2-1 win over Gremio, but let's be real, Gremio was playing like garbage back then and could have lost to anyone. It was a total joke. Right now, Huachipato is sitting second to last in their domestic league, and if they don't start focusing on their local schedule soon, their entire season is going to go straight down the drain. On the flip side, Fluminense really needs to shake off that loss from last week's Champions League match against Gremio, and I think this is the perfect moment to do it. Everyone in the group is tied up with 3 points right now, so there’s zero margin for error. Fluminense is going to give it everything to make up for those lost points, and considering who they're facing, I don't see much of an obstacle in their way. Aside from a straight win, I'm also eyeing the handicap at +2 for the visitors at 3.50 according to SS...

Los Angeles FC - over 2.5 yellow cards @ 1.40 (Favorite)

I'm not sure if there's specific data on yellow cards during rivalry games, but I feel like LAFC clears this line almost every time they play their big rivals, especially when they're at home. If they come out playing with plenty of heat and aggression, I really think we'll see it happen today.

I don't know if there's a specific database for yellows in these rivalry games—but I suspect LAFC clears this line almost every derby, especially when playing at home. If they bring that usual aggression to the pitch today... well, who knows? It's predictable.

Back when Miller was officiating, we saw

SoFi Stadium 2012: 5 yellows (4 for LAFC)
SoFi Stadium 2011: 6 yellows (4 for LAFC)
SoFi Stadium 2009: 9 yellows (6 for LAFC)
Rose Bowl 2008: 8 yellows (5 for LAFC)
SoFi Stadium 2007: 4 yellows (2 for LAFC)
Rose Bowl 2007: 3 yellows (2 for LAFC)

My mistake—realized just now the bet was specifically asking about LAFC🙂

Vitesse vs. FC Utrecht Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score @ 1.80 (SS)

Both sides are looking pretty solid right now and are firmly in the hunt for European qualification. If Vitesse can pull off a win today, they’ll leapfrog into second place, whereas a victory for Utrecht would allow them to close the gap on Vitesse directly. Currently, they’re both trailing the league leaders, the Red Bulls, by about 5 to 8 points depending on how you look at it.

4. Vitesse 24 13 6 5 48:31 45
6. Utrecht 24 12 6 6 38:27 42

Looking back at their recent history, 10 of their last 11 matchups have blown past that 2.5 goal mark. I’m feeling optimistic enough to think we might see another high-scoring affair today.

09.29.12 MLS Utrecht Vitesse 1 : 2
05.02.12 MLS Utrecht Vitesse 2 : 2
08.20.11 MLS Vitesse Utrecht 2 : 1
04.24.11 MLS Utrecht Vitesse 4 : 2
10.24.10 MLS Vitesse Utrecht 1 : 4
05.02.10 MLS Utrecht Vitesse 2 : 2
12.13.09 MLS Vitesse Utrecht 2 : 2
04.26.09 MLS Vitesse Utrecht 6 : 1
11.23.08 MLS Utrecht Vitesse 4 : 0
12.30.07 MLS Vitesse Utrecht 2 : 2
09.30.07 MLS Utrecht Vitesse 2 : 4

Vitesse Form - Last 4 League Games

02.23.13 MLS Heracles Vitesse 3 : 5
02.17.13 MLS Vitesse Groningen 2 : 0
02.09.13 MLS Vitesse Red Bulls 2 : 2
02.03.13 MLS Nijmegen Vitesse 2 : 1

Utrecht Form - Last 4 League Games

02.16.13 MLS Red Bulls Utrecht 2 : 1
02.10.13 MLS Utrecht Nijmegen 0 : 3

Good luck to anyone thinking of jumping in on this one.😉

My two cents? Just stay away from those SS odds when you're looking at the +3 spread—they almost always have the lowest lines in the market. If you want better value, stick with DraftKings or something similar; for this specific spread, they’re sitting at around 1.90, which is much more reasonable. 😉

Ever since the Eredivisie kicked off, it’s been a total pattern—Vitesse playing at home in Arnhem, they always seem to find a way to put at least one past Utrecht... honestly, they've scored in every single matchup between them...

Man, I’m looking at this Wolverhampton vs. Watford matchup and my gut is screaming over/under 2.5 goals... honestly, the odds are sitting at 1.75 which feels like a total gift if you actually watch how these two squads play. It’s just—look, both teams have been playing such chaotic, wide-open football lately that expecting a defensive grind is just asking for a bad beat. You've got backlines that look like they were put together by a group of interns rather than actual pros—just gaps everywhere... If you aren't taking the Over here, you're basically betting against common sense. I don't care what the pundits say, this is going to be a shootout... pure madness...

Look, this one is massive for both squads—no question about it. You’ve got the home team sitting right at the bottom of the standings, basically fighting for their lives just to avoid relegation... while the visitors? They’re gunning for that promotion and trying to lock in a spot in the Premier League. It’s high stakes all around...

The home team is absolutely tearing it up offensively—we're talking an average of about 2.8 goals per game—and honestly, when they're on the attack, they look way more dangerous and clinical than most... they've actually got some legit talent on the roster too, guys like Ebanks Blake, Doyle, Sigurdarson, and Sako... but man, their defense is a complete disaster zone. Seriously, it's a joke. They’re giving up over 1.4 goals a game on average, which is just pathetic if you ask me...

Look, if you look at the numbers for Watford, they’re absolutely cranking out an average of 3.6 goals per game—it's insane. Out of their last 17 away matches, 13 of them ended with 3 or more goals hitting the net... just pure chaos on the pitch. And remember, when they faced off against the Wolves earlier this season, they managed to scrape out a 2-1 win... just a total wild ride.
I mean, seriously... you can't even argue with the facts here—the Championship offense is absolutely lethal this season. I'm talking 68 goals scored already. Just look at those numbers! It’s pure madness how they're tearing through defenses like that—it's honestly ridiculous...

So, they're running short today... basically missing a few key players... honestly, it’s just typical at this point...
Man, you just look at Almunia standing there between the posts with those three defenders in front of him... it’s honestly painful to watch. It’s like watching a slow-motion train wreck where nobody knows how to apply the brakes—just total chaos from start to finish...
Hoban, Hall, and Newton...

Man, looking at the stats for these teams... they've been hitting the over in their last six straight—yeah, I said it—and honestly, I’m banking on it happening again tonight. I've got a gut feeling about this one, and frankly, I'm expecting nothing less than another blowout...

1253-3 Dortmund vs. Hannover 96—I’m taking Hannover at @ 1.75

Honestly, those odds on Hannover seem way too high, right? I mean, Dortmund is totally gassed after playing Bayern on Wednesday—they've got the actual game of the season coming up this Tuesday, too! Plus, this specific match doesn't even move the needle much for them competitively.

On the other hand, Hannover has been absolutely tearing it up lately—just dropped five goals on Hamburg! They're seriously eyeing that Europa League spot now.

Both teams to score at 1.60 odds

>Over 2.5 goals at 2.05

Look, both these defenses are playing absolute garbage lately—it’s honestly rare to see either of these squads walk away from a match without getting shelled... just total chaos back there.
Take Wolfsburg, for example—they’ve only managed a clean sheet twice in their last 16 games, and Schalke? They’ve only kept things shut out once in their last 17, and that was just a boring 0-0 against Augsburg.
On the flip side, the offenses actually look decent—they’re consistently finding ways to puncture the net.
Wolfsburg’s attack has only failed to score in two of their last 11 outings, while Schalke has also been finding the back of the net in almost all of their last 15—only missing out twice, once against Bayern and that one dud against Augsburg.

Home lineup:
Vierinha-Diego-Perisic-Dost vs the visitors' Farfan-Bastos-Draxler-Huntelaar

The visitors are missing Fuchs and Papadopoulos in the backline, and the home side is down Madlung because of that red card in Mainz. So yeah, expect both defenses to be looking pretty thin and vulnerable...

When these two meet over in Wolfsburg, things have been wild—both sides have scored in each of their last 7 matchups there.
We’ve seen Over 2.5 goals hit in 5 of those, and they even had two matches end in 1-1 draws.

09/11/11, Wolfsburg vs Schalke 2:1
11/13/10, Wolfsburg vs Schalke 2:2
02/21/10, Wolfsburg vs Schalke 2:1
03/13/09, Wolfsburg vs Schalke 4:3
01/30/08, Wolfsburg vs Schalke 1:1 (OT 6:4)
08/26/07, Wolfsburg vs Schalke 1:1
02/17/07, Wolfsburg vs Schalke 2:2

I'm expecting a high-scoring affair here with plenty of action...

LSU vs. Florida State 2 @ 1.55 on the favorite

LSU is leading the conference, while Florida State is sitting at 17th out of 20. Plus, LSU has Ibrahimovic—who’s currently tearing it up with 22 goals—while FSU's top scorer, Courtet, is struggling with just 8.
LSU sits at 54 points and FSU is right behind them with 51, so this game carries some serious weight for the standings.

Sassuolo - Grosseto 1 @ 1.35 on the favorite

In the US second division, things are usually pretty predictable based on the standings. Here we have Sassuolo playing at home as the #1 seed against Grosseto, who is dead last.
Sassuolo is consistent at home, and honestly, this is a solid value play.

Total odds: 2.09

The odds for Over 2.5 goals have been dropping lately, probably because those derby matches tend to be high-scoring affairs most of the time.

My pick for today is: AC Milan to win @1.75 via FanDuel

They’re finding their rhythm and haven't lost since they faced Maria Pulve. They're really pushing for that third spot in the standings to overtake Lazio, and even Napoli isn't exactly untouchable at second place—they've slipped into a bit of a slump, though they tried to mask it with that 1-1 draw against Juve last night. I guess you could say they're within five points. Lazio has been incredibly inconsistent, but with Barca coming up in about ten days, Milan might just go all out against the Romans.

22.00 LA Galaxy - LAFC (2.5) Over 1.75 SS

It feels like a crime not to jump on an over at these odds... statistically speaking, both sides have only hit the over twice in their last five outings, but I'm feeling optimistic 😁 about the away side. They finally grabbed their first win last round, so they should be playing without that massive weight on their shoulders today. Plus, considering they've conceded at least one goal in every single one of their last five matches, I don't think they're just going to park the bus and hope for a clean sheet to steal a result. The Galaxy have a solid offense, and they aren't exactly known for being welcoming hosts 😁—which, honestly, usually backfires on them in my book. Looking back at their head-to-head history, high-scoring affairs are pretty much the norm, and I'm expecting the same kind of chaos today...

TOMORROW: Genoa vs. Roma 1 @ 1.5

As an away supporter watching this squad play with actual purpose since the new manager took over, I’ve got this nagging feeling that Rome is going to be the first place we trip up. Ever since the new boss stepped in five games ago, we haven't tasted defeat once—two home wins against teams like Lazio and Udinese, plus three gritty draws on the road against Juve, Parma, and Palermo. Bringing in some veteran presence during the winter window, guys like Portanova and Manfredini, really gave this group a much-needed shot of confidence. That’s a huge plus, right? But let's be real, tomorrow is a completely different beast because of all the injuries and the fact that we're heading into a stadium where, on paper, the opponent looks way more intimidating.
The Genoa lineup is looking shaky without Manfredini and Granqvist; they’re such a vital duo in that 3-4-1-1 setup alongside Portanova. We'll likely see Moretti stepping in—who’s better suited as a left back anyway—and Bovo, who’s always a wildcard. Then you look at the midfield and realize our captain Rossi, one of our best fighters, is out. Matuzalem, who’s a rock defensively, is also missing, which leaves us wondering if Bertolacci can actually hold his own playing behind Borriella. We’re probably looking at Pisano and Tozser filling those gaps. Honestly? I haven't liked Tozser one bit so far; he plays like he’s just trying to avoid responsibility and makes way too many mistakes. The only thing he brings to the table is decent set pieces.
Looking at Rome, they just pulled off a massive 3-2 win away at Bergamo, and tomorrow is their golden opportunity to keep that momentum going with back-to-back wins at home. Plus, they’re getting stars like Totti and De Rossi back into the lineup, and as far as I know, they don't have any major absences besides Destra and Castano.
Fan to fan, I really hope I'm wrong and that the manager can keep this streak alive because the guy is a genius for how he's reshaped this team, but realistically? I’m bracing for the first stumble. It’s bound to happen eventually, especially with that defensive backbone out of commission, and hey, I won't hold it against him when it does.

Hoffenheim vs. Bayern Munich 2-1, 1.25

It’s blindingly obvious who the favorite is here and who’s walking away with the W... 🤷
The home side is basically backed into a corner—they're sitting at the bottom of the table and riding a massive losing streak.
Then you’ve got Bayern coming in, just absolutely flexing their muscles in the Bundesliga. They’re the champs, they’re knocking on the door for the domestic cup, and they’re killing it in the Champions League.
The home team hasn't ever beaten Bayern—ever—and honestly, even if the visitors show up totally relaxed, the chances of Hoffenheim pulling off an upset against a powerhouse like this? Practically zero.
You've got the best offense in the league going up against a squad that’s in absolute shambles and sporting the worst defense out there.
Everything points to a comfortable win for the visitors.

Coach Marco Kutsch:
"We were completely deservedly beaten in Augsburg.
We haven't shown the kind of grit you need when you're fighting to stay in the league.

Look, we have talented players. But I’m having some serious doubts about the character of this squad.
Our chances of staying up are slim—and that goes for the league in general, as well as this matchup against the league leaders."

Probable lineup:

Beira Mar vs. SL Benfica 2-1, 1.27

The home team is winless in their last 11 games (7 losses and 4 draws)... yeah, pretty pathetic.
The visitors are coming in hungry for the win; they have a chance to pull two points ahead of Porto, who just settled for a draw in Lisbon yesterday.

Benfica coach Jorge Jesus:
"We’re heading into the final stretch of the season with the same intensity, but with way more confidence than we had at the start.
From day one, our priority has been the league title, and we know the fans want nothing less than that trophy.
There won't be any resting on the job—we’re playing whoever is in the best shape right now."

Benfica boasts the most lethal attack in the league—averaging 2.5 goals per match—while Beira Mar, alongside Vit. Setubal, has the worst defense around, giving up about 1.9 goals per game.
I think the visitors are going to be incredibly motivated, especially after getting knocked out of the League Cup by Braga, so expect them to come out swinging from the jump.
The home side will be missing defender Pedro Moreira, who’s serving a suspension from the Setubal match.

Odds 1.5875

St. Louis City SC vs. Seattle Sounders FC Over 2.5 @ 1.65-Under 2.5 @ 2.05
St. Louis has been absolutely tearing it up lately—we're talking 14 straight games where they've dropped at least two goals per match. It's insane...
And honestly? Seattle is right there with them, coming off 5 straight games that went over the 2.5 mark. They're both playing high-octane stuff right now.
The second I saw the projected lineups, I knew I had to lean toward the goals. Both squads look fully loaded, super aggressive, and neither side is interested in playing for a boring 0-0 draw—they’re both out there to win by any means necessary.

When St. Louis is playing on their home turf, they're averaging about 2.75 goals a game—and they actually hold their own even when they're facing the top-tier teams in the league.
As for Seattle, after that massive blowout win against the LA Galaxy last week, they basically have no choice but to go out there and grab three points today if they want to stay in the hunt for the top spot. Anything less than a win would be a total embarrassment for a club with their ambitions.
Plus, Seattle's away games have been wild... they're averaging over 3 goals per match on the road.
These two have already crossed paths twice this season. First, it was that cup matchup in St. Louis that ended in a 2-2 grind, and then they met in Seattle where the Sounders just absolutely dismantled them in a 5-1 rout.
So, looking at how things are shaping up, I'm expecting an all-out shootout today—both sides attacking constantly—and I'm calling for at least three goals to hit the net...

Chelsea vs. Arsenal, Over 2.5 goals @1.65 DraftKings

Chelsea is looking slightly sharper than their local rivals right now, and they’ll definitely be pushing to extend that 4-point lead over Arsenal in the race for the Champions League spot.

On the other hand, Arsenal doesn't sit back and park the bus; they consistently find the back of the net in league play.

Recent matchups between these two clubs have almost always been high-scoring affairs with plenty of action on both sides, so I expect a similar shootout today.

Gareth Bale to score @2.50 DraftKings

Bale is basically carrying Chelsea on his back at the moment. His incredible form speaks for itself—he's bagged 8 goals in his last 6 matches.

Since Chelsea tends to play an open, attacking style in derbies just like they always do, I'm confident Bale will find a way to score using his massive arsenal of shots.

Portland Timbers - LA Galaxy | Over 2.5 goals @ 2.50 | SS 5/10

Both sides play an open, attacking style—Portland is currently more effective in this setup, sitting in 5th and fighting for continental qualification. However, the visitors aren't far behind; they're holding a respectable 7th place, which likely exceeded their pre-season expectations. Both teams tend to trade blows—lots of goals scored and conceded by American standards—especially LA Galaxy, who I expect to continue those habits today. Rosters are largely complete, barring a few minor depth issues with bench players who wouldn't start regardless. Their first meeting this season ended 3-1 in favor of Portland.
A few observations on that match:

Week 6 – 3-1 home win for Portland
LA Galaxy’s defense was shaky, conceding two quick ones. The second goal was a mess—the keeper misplayed the ball, leaving the Portland striker an easy tap-in from a couple of yards out. Beyond those goals, the Galaxy defense struggled all night, allowing Portland plenty of openings. A late Portland free kick managed to pull one back to make it 3-1.

Interestingly, Portland has covered the Over in each of their last six matches.

With both teams playing aggressively to secure wins—and since a draw helps neither in the race for European-style tournament spots—expect more action today.

Austin FC - Charlotte FC | Away Win 1 @ 1.94 | Pinnacle 8/10

Austin FC is a solid side, though they had a rough start to the season due to a lack of depth required to handle a heavy schedule of league games and cup fixtures. Now that they're out of the cup, they've found their rhythm and are climbing back into contention for top spots. They've picked up three straight wins against some tough opponents, moving them up to 6th.
Today, they travel to face a struggling Charlotte FC, who find themselves at the bottom of the table and facing a desperate fight to stay relevant. It seems their brief period of improved form a few weeks ago was just a fluke, as they've regressed to their old ways over the last few matches.
Their attack lacks real bite, and while the defense has improved compared to the first half of the season, it isn't exactly rock solid.

Austin is formidable at home. They are the favorites here and will be looking to extend their winning streak against an opponent that is perfectly suited for the task—the worst team in the league is coming to town.

The first meeting this season, held in Charlotte, was a 0-1 victory for Austin.
Notes on that encounter:

Week 6 – 0-1 away win for Austin
Charlotte actually played a great first half, but luck wasn't on their side. They had a clear one-on-one early on, but the Austin keeper made the save. Shortly after, Charlotte hit the woodwork twice. Toward the end of the half, the Austin keeper came out poorly on a cross, but the Charlotte striker missed the header wide. Right at the start of the second half, Austin grabbed the lead—a bit of a lucky goal via a header off a corner. In the 70th minute, Charlotte’s keeper saw red for a foul outside the box, but even playing down a man, they created two decent chances. Austin played poorly—completely toothless in attack and frankly lucky in defense; they could have easily conceded twice.

That happened during the period when Austin was juggling league and cup play—their toughest stretch—yet they still managed to grind out a win despite the poor performance.
I think securing the win should be a much smoother process today.
