Beira Mar vs. Benfica - Benfica -1.5 @ 1.82 Pinnacle 6/10

Benfica needs to capitalize on Porto’s stumble last night—that single point they picked up was a massive setback. A win here puts them in a commanding position for the title, especially since both teams are notoriously difficult to beat.
The matchup is ideal. Beira Mar is sitting at the bottom of the table with a defense that's frankly abysmal—conceding nearly two goals per game. They’ve lost six of their last seven league matches (with one draw mixed in), and today they’re missing four key starters. Three of those are defenders, plus Balboa, their main striker. For a team already struggling to keep things tight, that's a devastating blow.
Expect Benfica to come out aggressive from the whistle. Their squad depth is significantly superior, and they'll want to wrap this up early—which I don't see them having much trouble doing. They're in great form, managing two fronts effectively while playing high-level football.

In their first meeting earlier this season, Benfica took it 2-1. Here are my notes from that match:

Week 6 – 2-1 home win against Beira Mar
Beira Mar struck early—the Benfica keeper missed a cross entirely, a real amateur mistake. Beira Mar almost had a 2-0 lead right before halftime; the Benfica defense once again looked lost on a cross, though their striker botched the finish. That was about it for the visitors. Benfica dominated, creating endless chances—they missed a penalty and hit the woodwork, but eventually turned it around in the second half. The Benfica defense was shaky—they looked disorganized three or four times—but they got lucky because the opposition is just that bad. Beira Mar's defense remains predictably poor.

$20.00 MLS: LA Galaxy vs. LAFC (2.5) Over @ 1.60

The odds aren't massive, but honestly, this one feels pretty predictable to me... LA Galaxy is playing at a neutral site here since they're currently dealing with stadium renovations back home, so they're basically hosting out of San Diego instead. Anyway, Galaxy is a solid squad with a heavy offensive mindset, and they're facing the current league leaders, so I’m expecting an open, high-tempo game... LAFC has been on a bit of a tear lately, picking up three straight wins against some bottom-tier teams, and now they're coming in looking for another three points. I don't know, though—I've seen these top teams stall out right when they shouldn't, so I'm not touching the moneyline or a specific winner. But goals? There should be plenty of action. It looks like a lock for both teams to score or even over 3.5, but this time I'm playing it safe and sticking to the over 😁

Ethan Jones5 said:Tottenham vs. Arsenal—over 2.5 goals at +115 on DraftKings... honestly, if you aren't taking this, what are you even doing? These two teams play like they’ve got nothing to lose, just constant chaos from the whistle... I'm telling you, it's basically a guaranteed shootout waiting to happen...

Look, Spurs are looking a hell of a lot sharper right now than their neighbors down the street—and let’s be real, they aren't going to just sit back and let Arsenal catch up. They're sitting on a solid four-point cushion in the race for Champions League contention, and if they have any sense at all, they’re gonna play aggressively to stretch that lead even further... because you know how fast things can turn in this league...

On the flip side, look at how Arsenal plays—they aren't exactly tearing it up in the Champions League right now, but man, they absolutely rip it through the regular season... they just keep finding the back of the net in the league like it's nothing.

Honestly, looking at how these two teams have been playing against each other lately... it’s always a total shootout. Every single time they meet, the net just doesn't stop bulging on both sides—it's absolute chaos out there. So, yeah, I'm fully expecting the exact same kind of madness to go down today... just pure scoring mayhem...

I can only really jump on board with that—and honestly, I’ve got a little something extra to throw into the mix too...

Man, whenever these two go head-to-head, it’s always a total toss-up—and let’s be real, they usually just end up absolutely wrecking each other's faces with a bunch of goals...
Look, I've been crunching these numbers and honestly... it’s kind of insane. Out of their last 18 matchups, they’ve cleared the over 16 times—I mean, that’s basically a broken record at this point. They’re currently riding an 8-game heater where they've smashed the over 3+ mark every single time... and get this—out of those last 8 games, 7 of them ended with three or more goals. It's just constant scoring madness... almost too predictable to be real...

November 17, 2012—man, I still get a little vein throbbing in my temple just thinking about that North London Derby... Arsenal absolutely steamrolling Tottenham 5-2. It was pure, unadulterated chaos. Just one of those days where everything clicked for the Gunners and Spurs looked like they were playing in quicksand or something... honestly, it was beautiful and brutal all at once. Total dominance.
Feb 26, 2012 — Arsenal vs. Tottenham, 5–2. Man, I still get a massive headache just thinking about this game... what a complete and total circus. It was one of those days where everything felt chaotic—just pure, unadulterated madness from start to finish. Arsenal absolutely tearing it up, though... I mean, five goals? Five! Against Spurs? That’s just disrespectful at that point. It was such a rollercoaster—one minute you think they've got it under control, then suddenly the momentum shifts, the crowd goes nuts, and before you know it, the scoreboard looks like a damn crime scene. You can't even explain the energy in the stadium that day... it was just visceral. One side feeling like kings of the world and the other just completely falling apart at the seams. Just... yeah. A wild, beautiful mess.
October 2, 2011... North London Derby... Spurs vs. Arsenal. Final score: 2-1. Man, what a mess. Honestly, looking back at that match—just absolute chaos from start to finish. It’s one of those games that stays burned into your brain because of how much tension was just... hanging in the air. You know how these derbies go, though. It doesn't matter how well you're playing, someone's always going to lose their cool or make a decision that makes you want to put your head through a wall... and boy, did we get plenty of that. Just pure, unadulterated drama.
April 20, 2011... North London Derby... Tottenham vs. Arsenal... 3 to 3. Man, what a complete and utter rollercoaster of a match. My heart was absolutely pounding by the final whistle—talk about an emotional wringer. It was pure, unadulterated chaos from start to finish... just total madness on the pitch. One minute you think one side has it in the bag, and the next, everything flips on its head. Honestly, if you weren't sweating through your shirt watching this one, you probably weren't even paying attention... such a wild ride...
November 20, 2010... Arsenal vs. Tottenham... man, what a total disaster for the Gunners. I still can't wrap my head around how they let that one slip away—2 to 3. Just absolutely gutted. It was one of those games where you feel like you're watching a slow-motion car crash, just waiting for the inevitable impact... and then boom, right in the teeth. A complete meltdown from start to finish... honestly, it makes you want to throw the remote through the screen.
September 21, 2010—man, I still remember this one like it was yesterday... Arsenal absolutely dismantled Tottenham in that 4-1 blowout. Just total dominance from the Gunners, honestly. It was one of those days where everything just clicked for them and Spurs looked completely lost on the pitch. A complete slaughter...
April 14, 2010 — North London Derby: Spurs 2, Arsenal 1.

So, I was looking at the numbers for Spurs—yeah, those guys—and man, it’s just absolute madness... they've played 27 matches and somehow managed to pump in 47 goals while coughing up 32 of their own. That puts their average sitting right around 2.9 goals per game... which, if you think about it, is just pure chaos from start to finish. Total insanity...
Once again, we’re looking at a lineup without Kaboul, Huddlestone, or Sandra—and now I’m hearing Dempsey and Defoe are basically toss-ups too... just another day in paradise, I guess.
So, Arsenal’s stats are looking like this—they've put up 52 goals but let in 30... which puts them at a 3-goal average per game. Not exactly a defensive masterclass, if you ask me, but whatever. They're heading into this one without:
Look, you’ve got Sagna, Diaby, Gibbs... and then you look at those defenders—man, what a complete disaster area... honestly, just a total mess.
Look, these two squads have always had some serious firepower in the attacking third—I mean, that’s basically their whole identity—and honestly, today is no different. Sure, the Gunners took a massive hit to their lethality after offloading absolute weapons like Adebayor and RVP... which, let's be real, sucked the soul out of that front line for a minute... but even with those holes, they still manage to field some pretty solid options up top. They just find a way to make it work, I guess...
I mean, let’s be real for a second—these teams? They’ve got more than enough firepower to find the back of the net whenever they feel like it... honestly, if they actually put in the effort, scoring shouldn't even be an issue...
I’ve got a feeling this match is gonna be a total nail-biter. Honestly, for Arsenal, anything less than a win is basically a disaster—it's make or break at this point. If they don't pull this off, they're looking at falling way behind in the Champions League race, which would just be another massive headache for the club and Arteta... and man, we really don't need more of that drama right now... It’s over... honestly, just completely done.
Good luck...

AS Roma vs. Genoa - Handicap 0:1 X2 @ 1.50

Saw a guy over in the MLS thread dropping a pick as a Genoa supporter—well, I’ll weigh in here as a Roma fan. Since replacing the old manager, there’s been a clear positive shift at Roma; they actually managed to take down big names like Juventus and Atalanta under basically impossible circumstances. The squad is playing much more patient, disciplined football now—a far cry from that chaotic "total football" style we saw under Zdeněk. As for injuries, we're missing Castano and Destra for the long haul, and Marquinhos—our best center-back—is a game-time decision.
Expecting a grind of a match. Probably a narrow 1-0 or 2-1 win for Roma.

Albion Rovers vs. Stenhousemuir 2 @ 1.85

Man, Albion Rovers is in a total freefall right now—nine straight losses?! They're sitting a massive 12 points above the relegation zone, which basically means they've already got their bags packed for the lower league. It's looking pretty grim. On top of that, their roster is absolutely gutted since they're missing key guys like Mick O’Byrne, Tony Stevenson, Chris Boyle, and David Crawford. Now they have to face Stenhousemuir, who are seriously hunting for that playoff spot and desperately need these three points to stay in the hunt. Can you imagine the luck they'll need to pull anything off here?

St. Louis City SC vs. San Jose Earthquakes — Under 2.5 goals @ 1.60

Look, San Jose has been an absolute snooze fest lately—out of their last 11 matches, 9 of them went under. They’ve basically been stuck in this cycle of low-scoring grinds for 7 straight games... just constant 0-2 scorelines. Nothing exciting about it.
As for St. Louis, they’re playing the same way. Out of their last 16 outings, 12 were unders, and they’ve hit the under in 9 of their last 11 too. It’s becoming a pattern.
Plus, if you look at the league play so far, both teams have played nothing but low-scoring affairs in all three opening rounds. To be blunt, every single game has been an under.
St. Louis didn't exactly kick off their season with a bang, but hey, they’re killing it in the CONCACAF Champions Cup right now—sitting pretty at the top of their group with a massive shot at moving forward.
But here's the kicker—they're going to be missing Cabrala in the midfield and Tobia in the backline. There’s also some serious doubt whether Razzoti and F. Gago will even suit up.
Both squads are playing incredibly gritty, almost frustratingly inefficient soccer. St. Louis has only managed one goal in three league matches—one win and two losses to show for it—while the visitors are sitting on a 2:2 goal difference after three games where they couldn't pull off a single win (all draws). Just stagnant.
Historically, when St. Louis hosts San Jose, they’ve come out on top both times—winning 1-0 and 2-0.
The home side is probably the favorite to take the points again, but don't expect a blowout. San Jose's defense has been surprisingly solid, which makes me think we're looking at another low-scoring affair. Honestly, the smartest move here is just betting on the total being low.

Under at 1.60.

St. Louis City SC vs. LA Galaxy Over 4.5 goals @ 2.40

I’m telling you, this game is gonna be an absolute bloodbath of goals. (US Soccer)
St. Louis City SC is absolutely tearing it up right now—they’re sitting pretty at the top after just two matches.
They’ve already pumped nine goals into the net. Their star guy, Monsef Zerka—who’s played internationally for Morocco—has already bagged four goals in just two appearances.
Then you’ve got Alzirac Ramdani, that veteran midfielder, who’s already notched three himself.
Both these guys have played over in France, so they bring this massive amount of experience and pure tactical IQ to the pitch... honestly, it feels like they’re just way too high-level for this league.
I’m calling it now: I expect both of them to find the back of the net again, grab an assist, and just run the show.
If there’s any certainty in this crazy sport, it’s these goals. Based on how they've been playing and their sheer dominance, the home side are the clear favorites here...

Emelec vs. Iquique f+2 @ 2,10

The top dogs in Ecuador are hosting Iquique from Chile today. If the home side wants any dignity left, they need to avenge that 2-0 loss they took away last week—which is exactly what I'm looking for here. They’re clearly the better squad—they already dismantled a tough Velez team at home (it was only 1-0, but honestly, could've been a blowout)—so I don't see the Chileans standing a chance. The stats at Copa look great for Emelec... they grabbed the win in their only home game, while Iquique got absolutely shredded 3-0 on the road in their first outing.
I'm only putting this on because the odds on a straight win are pathetic—just 1.40.

Cristiano Ronaldo scores at +110 in MLS

He’s in incredible form right now. We all know exactly what he’s capable of. He sat out 57 minutes during El Clásico this past Saturday, and while he didn't find the back of the net, he practically lived in the danger zone, carving out five or more clear scoring opportunities in about a 30-minute stretch. He just lacked that bit of luck. I see him starting from the opening whistle today, and I expect him to punish his former club with a goal.

Nuneaton vs. Luton... I'm thinking Under 2.5 goals @ 1.65 SS
Man Utd/Over 2.5 vs. Real Madrid... Yeah, Over @ 1.6 SS
Dortmund/Over 2.5 vs. Shakhtar... Definitely, Over @ 1.95 SS
Sparta Prague vs. Vysocina Jihlava... Home win @ 1.3 SS

EXCHANGE RATE: 6.69

Luton:
They've actually gone under 2.5 goals in their last six away games, and before that run started, they were sitting at about ten unders to just two overs, I guess.
Champions League: Both teams coming off wins from their last match, though honestly, calling them "wins" feels like a massive stretch and I think everyone knows it... To be real, I'm expecting over 2.5 goals in both, but the odds are just trash right now...
Sparta:They haven't conceded a single goal in their last five league matches, and they've scored nine times—so like, a 9:0 ratio—whereas things look a bit different for Jihlava, where they had one game end 1:4 over a five-game stretch. I should probably mention this is a cup rematch after a 1:1 draw, but I really feel like the gap in quality and current momentum is just way too huge for it to matter.

Manchester United vs. Real Madrid: 1X @ 1.70 SS

I don't usually touch matchups like this in the parlays, but the spread is tight enough and the odds are too good to pass up.

Beyond the away goals rule advantage, United has a massive psychological edge here. They’re cruising in the Premier League, whereas for Mourinho, a win is basically a survival requirement for the season.

There’s no point debating pure talent when these two giants meet, but I'll note that United is missing crucial engines in the midfield like Jones and Scholes, while Real is without Casillas.

That kind of coefficient only makes sense if they score first. My bet? Ronaldo almost never finds the back of the net in a game that ends in anything other than a 2-2 or 2.5 total.

Looking at tonight, I’m leaning toward Real Madrid taking the win. They’re playing out of their minds right now. After last week's performance, their confidence is through the roof, and honestly, I think they'll ride that momentum straight to a victory.

Man. Manchester United vs. Real Madrid - Home win @ 1.7 SS

Manchester United is playing on home soil following that 1-1 draw away from home. Since a draw secures their advancement, they are perfectly content with a 0-0 or a 1-1 result, which implies they will be forced to commit men forward only if Real Madrid manages to find the back of the net more than once. Personally, I am convinced that Manchester United will not be eliminated for two specific reasons:

1. This is Manchester United playing at Old Trafford under the influence of Sir Alex Ferguson; historically, they rarely falter in the Champions League, and their squad is even more formidable this season with the additions of players like Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, whereas no vital pieces have departed. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is operating without their captain Casillas, though such shifts have become somewhat commonplace for them.

2. The pressure weighing on Manchester United is significantly lighter because they have already secured the Premier League title, whereas if Real Madrid were to fall out of the Champions League, their entire season would essentially be considered a failure, provided we exclude the domestic cup which doesn't carry the same weight.

Dortmund vs. Shakhtar - Both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals @ 2.0 HL

The logic here is quite straightforward; Shakhtar is compelled to attack, ensuring they will likely score, while Dortmund’s lightning-fast counter-attacks typically punish opponents on the other end. Whether the match ends in a 1-1 stalemate or a 0-2 deficit, someone will eventually be forced to overextend, which inevitably opens the door for another counter-attack. ☕

A 2-2 scoreline seems to be the most logical outcome that satisfies both sides, and it aligns perfectly with this wager. 👍

Honestly, I think you guys totally slept on Real Madrid 🤷. They’re looking scary good right now—you could tell from that first match they were the better side compared to Man Utd. Sure, SAF is the superior manager, and if anyone can squeeze a result out of this, it’s him, but I’m still taking Real Madrid to advance @1.75.

p.s. If Real ends up getting knocked out, I am going to enjoy every single second... total win-win for me 🤣

They already had the upper hand against Shakhtar back in Donetsk, and honestly, I think they’re just a better side overall—physically stronger too. Since they got knocked out of the US Open Cup, their chances at the league title aren't exactly looking great, so I guess they're probably putting everything they've got into this one. They're 100% locked in now.

Just took a quick look at the upcoming MLS slate to see if there’s anything actually worth betting on, but honestly, nothing is looking good right now, especially
LAFC vs. LA Galaxy
The betting shops have LAFC as the favorite at 1.50, but with Galaxy playing like they’ve been reborn this spring under their new coach... plus, when they met three weeks ago, LAFC scraped a 3:2 win thanks to a bunch of questionable calls by the ref...
Seattle Sounders vs. Portland Timbers
Seattle should probably take it, but that 1.45 line is just way too thin for me...
Atlanta United vs. Inter Miami
same story as the Seattle game

So, Stenhousemuir bit the dust yesterday—total bummer—but hey, I’ve already got a super similar matchup lined up in the US leagues! I'm thinking there's basically zero chance we see the exact same outcome twice in three days, right?

Saturday 4:00 PM

FC Dundee vs. Inverness 2 @ 1.90

We're looking at another case where one team is essentially destined to lose against an opponent fighting for a spot in the Champions League qualifiers. It's just how the math works out!

FC Dundee is also dealing with a massive headache—they've got four regular starters sidelined with injuries (O'Donnell, Kerr, McCluskey, and Finnigan). That's gotta hurt!

Inverness has been stuck in a bit of a rut lately—two scoreless draws in a row—so I'm actually expecting things to finally open up for them here!

02,00 Rio de Janeiro FC - Santiago United f + 2 1,80 SS

So, about a week ago, these two squads squared off and Rio ended up taking it 2:1 on the road. Honestly, if you ignore those two scrappy goals, they could've easily put a few more past the keeper, but they just lacked that killer instinct at the finish line. Typical. Meanwhile, Santiago finally managed to grab a win in their domestic league, and if you ask me, they aren't built to juggle two different competitions without falling apart. I’m betting their local league takes priority here. Compared to today's home team, they're honestly outclassed. Rio is looking to scoop up another three points in this group where they're currently sitting in second; they have a real shot at pulling ahead enough to coast through the group stage without all that late-season panic. 😁 Anything short of a straightforward win would be a massive shocker in my book...

LAFC should take this, though a 1.45 odd feels a bit too low for my liking.

On paper—looking at pure talent, current form, the standings, and home-field advantage—LAFC ought to walk away with three points. But things aren't quite that simple:

The Galaxy haven't been their favorite matchup lately; they've actually failed to secure a win in their last three outings at home against them.

There’s also the issue of the backline—they're missing those three key center-backs—and even if they do return, they haven't had much recent playing time to shake off any rust. On top of that, Maglica is out due to yellow card accumulation, which is a blow considering he’s been hitting his stride—he just netted two in that 2-0 win over San Jose.

My pick would be 1, but honestly, I wouldn't bet the house on it.

PSG vs. Valencia....I'm thinking maybe @2,25SS

PSG: I mean, Valencia pretty much has to put at least two past them if they want any kind of hope left, so I guess there isn't really much room for them to play it safe or calculate things too much... But then again, they're missing two key center backs, which, you know, I feel like should probably lead to more goals in their own net through counterattacks and fast breaks even if they aren't playing with total intensity right now..
