I’m a bit surprised by how much the Ultras on this forum are questioning the police response, considering this is basically our routine every single weekend. Especially that scene at the south end after the whistle. Does it really require 200 riot police just to deal with one flare or a single seat? It’s strange that the media didn't mention how they seemed to be intentionally looking for a fight, trying to provoke a conflict just because they couldn't stir things up back in the 50th minute. And then there was that situation on the east side around the 20th minute, when 300 officers in helmets and carrying batons moved in to clear a path, which felt truly 🙄
I can't recall a derby where the Ultras weren't setting off flares and supposedly "endangering lives," and only then did any police action seem even remotely justified. But yesterday, not a single flare was thrown, yet they were out there attacking anything that moved, seemingly knowing they have the full weight of the state and the law protecting them.
To wrap up our little debate here on the forum: we saw incredible unity, a message under the west stand, some pyrotechnics, and really solid cheering.
But here is how 95% of everyone else sees it:

We need some real action soon, I guess, because our soccer is sinking deeper and deeper every day.

I feel like maybe 70% of the folks down South yesterday were acting like total sheep; honestly, I don't think they even understand what fan solidarity actually means. If things keep going this way, I guess those heavy-handed crackdowns from the authorities are going to end up shutting down both our group and the Ultras within two years. 👋

I’m not even going to get into the specifics right now—the pyrotechnics, how many people showed up, the chanting style... honestly, I think all of that needs to take a backseat for the moment. Like I mentioned back in our main thread, we actually showed some real solidarity yesterday. We kept things civil and avoided any unnecessary clashes, and if you ask me, that’s a win. I wasn't expecting much more from a derby match like this anyway.

The level of repression we're seeing lately, and just the general atmosphere surrounding everything, is unlike anything I've ever witnessed. But maybe there's a silver lining? It feels like it proves the enemy is panicking. They can try to act all smug and untouchable in their little slogans, but their actual behavior tells a completely different story... they know. They realize the end is slowly creeping up on them, that we aren't going to just roll over and quit, and that's exactly why they're hitting us this hard.

Once this USSF administration finally collapses, all this heavy-handed repression will have to go too. When that happens, or how many of us will still be standing by then... I honestly don't know. But despite how grim things feel right now, I don't think we're in a bad spot at all.

Honestly, I find all this mindless chatter quite exhausting. It seems about 70% of the people posting criticisms on this forum possess the temperament of a stubborn mule.

Honestly, 70 percent of people hanging out in any Ultras circle have the mindset of a donkey.😉

So, 70% of the crowd are basically donkeys😁. I mean, cheering itself isn't the problem... the issue is the people. They can't stop opening their mouths, and honestly, the Ultras leaders are just as much to blame because they can't seem to actually get these people to cheer properly.

There were plenty of people there yesterday, but not everyone follows the forums or really gets what’s going on. Most just showed up to the derby to grab a beer or some wine, mess with the outsiders, and head home. Still, progress is being made. The big mistake was bringing up unity, only for someone to shout "both the outsiders and the locals," and then the rest of the stands just went along with 🙂

But putting all that aside, the cops in general—especially those guys on the south stand yesterday—are disgusting. To the ones who targeted that woman and her kid, I wish nothing but the worst in life. I hope they get treated with the same brutality they show others, and that tear gas becomes their daily eye drops. They're sick, power-tripping trash. Just rot

Hold on, I’m struggling to follow the logic here. Why would anyone want to stop singing against the guys from the city? That chant hits exactly the right note. Are we supposed to become hypocrites now? It’s not like there was ever any love lost between us. We’re out here fighting for the same causes and standing in solidarity, adjusting our focus toward shared goals, but that doesn't mean we can't trade insults. That’s just how terrace culture works. When I sing a chant about taking down the local rivals, it doesn't mean I'm actually looking to commit a crime when I run into them; it’s just the spirit of the song. I don't think the Ultras and the Boys should be expected to play nice or stop chanting against one another. A derby is a derby. For God's sake, we can all belt out the same songs and shout the same lyrics together, but that doesn't mean I won't be shouting "damn you" at the rival club immediately after the anthem ends. The point is to prove we are united and facing the same enemies, but trying too hard to act like best friends would just feel fake.

Of course it’s hypocritical. It’s pure hypocrisy to show up to the same meeting and then go out and throw stones at each other afterward.
It's gross. Look, we might not get along, but I hate the USSF way more than I could ever hate any big-city elitist. Why should we even bother dealing with this mess again once we finally shake off this losing streak?

I don't know, it just feels hypocritical to me after we were all shouting hate Dinamo or calling them sellouts... It sounds incredibly shallow. You claim this is a massive derby, but it’s neither the first nor the last one we’ll see. We could have easily cruised through this match without all the internal drama, just spending all 90 minutes rooting against the corruption at the USSF instead of fighting each other—especially since expecting us to actually get ahead of the Russians is a total pipe dream. Does that somehow make me hate Dinamo and those sellouts any less?

Look, all of that is fine and well, but those yellow flags are driving me absolutely insane. It feels like we're playing long jump or something just so I don't commit a foul and get called out... 🤷

The security guards are alright, I guess. They’re polite enough, giving you the whole, "Hey, you need to move, that's what we were told" routine. But honestly? Those aggressive SWAT types? Just shut them down immediately. Be aggressive, push back, give them some attitude... 🙂

Who even needs this stuff?

The only ones who didn't talk my ear off about how much I owe were the guys at the local diner... 🤣🤣🤣

I suppose we’re both right in our own ways; it really just depends on how one chooses to view it. If someone takes offense at these letters, they’re clearly missing the point. My focus has always been on the sense of solidarity felt between us and them in the stands. That unity was palpable, and even the media recognized it. In my view, there needs to be a deeper level of mutual respect among the supporter groups.

As far as fighting against the USSF goes, this is about as much as can be achieved from within the stadium. It marks a significant step forward regarding unity within the national team setup, but the individual groups have to do the heavy lifting themselves. They need to make it clear to those who don't care about the national team that they shouldn't be used as pawns in internal power struggles—whether it's our side or theirs.

Moving forward, we need to pivot toward more radical measures, such as organized protests or collective legal action.

Ultimately, though, this is progress. I don't believe a few letters have managed to ruin everything.

Do you lean more toward being an Ultras fanatic, living that lifestyle, or do you just have a major grudge against those New York guys?

Obviously, a few nasty letters haven't caused any real damage, and this is actually a step in the right direction. Maybe I'm just too much of an idealist, so I guess I'm expecting big things ;-)

I honestly can't say if we shouldn't have drunk, though part of me felt yesterday we shouldn't have stood against those guys from the city either. I just feel like the timing was off, right when the messages and letters started coming in..

What happened yesterday was definitely a step forward, but it’s too small if that’s all we do..

We're as powerless as the fans, and that's exactly what they want to show by what happened yesterday. The Ultras are strong because there are plenty of people standing with them in the city, whereas the Boys have nobody by their side and are fighting a much harder battle alone. The main goal is to bring the public over to our side, but yesterday a few people just acted recklessly without a care in the world. I saw a guy with a bloody head near me, a woman lying on the ground, and things like that. If they report this to the media, regular people will just read it and say, "Why was she even there in the stands among all those men?" or "They got what they asked for, they're just hooligans." Until those same people feel police repression on their own skin, they'll never understand.

Mamic is too powerful. He has politicians on his payroll, he has the police, he has most of the media—he basically owns the whole engine, and it's not easy to go against him. So far, the Boys were the only thorn in his side, but now the Ultras have joined in a bit, which makes him nervous because he knows we exist and that we have support from ordinary people. But I don't think it's enough to take him down yet, since the police won't touch him, and that coward Jovanovic is stuck deep in the mud too. I wish I was wrong, but I don't know..

And about clearing the walkways yesterday.. the aisles were cleared specifically so the police could charge into the crowd at any moment and scatter us, giving them easier access to the lower sections of the stands. Having 300 or 400 riot cops on the South side? Coincidence? I've never seen anything like it. Every single person driving the vans and cars had been tested for alcohol before the game—is that a coincidence too? SWAT teams with gas masks in the stands, charging into the stands just because of a few flares? They beat everyone indiscriminately, women, kids, etc. They just wanted to provoke a riot. We knew this might happen, so it didn't escalate as much, but even if violence had broken out and things went crazy, they would have come out on top. They were basically in a war zone with tear gas, and those idiots standing in the crowd throwing chairs—those chairs were flying straight into the heads of the people in the front row near the cops, so more of our people ended up hurt than theirs..

And then some news anchor or detective will come on and tell us that this is nonsense, that they are honest, that they tolerate us, and that they aren't corrupt. Well, Mamic probably pays every single one of you under the table. Mamic holds the Chief in his hands and directs him, while the Chief sends out the orders and the bonuses. I'm really curious who gave the order to attack us yesterday, or back in 2010 against the Boys. That’s where you have to solve the police problem. Either the tear gas crews and the rest are blind, or they just refuse to admit how pathetic the police and the entire system actually are...

Ugh, and now the local news released a statement saying they started a "cleanup" because they didn't feel safe in the stands. What else can you say? Someone is always going to cave and say we are the ones at fault, that we are the problem. It's sad, but it's the truth..

Up until now, the hardcore fans were the only ones giving him grief, but now that the NFL Ultras have stepped up too, he's really feeling it because he knows we actually have the public behind us, but I honestly don't think it's enough to take him out yet. The police won't touch him, and that coward Jovanovic is already drowning in his own mess... I'd love to be wrong, but who knows..

👍, man, you know exactly where we started. From nothing. But every single day, we're gaining more allies—from the fans and regular citizens to politicians(🙄) and even international press. If you guys are actually going to step up and fight him now, we can bring him (and the rest of them) down much faster, which means getting a fair shot at a championship sooner😉. If people see that Jerry Jones is the biggest thorn in everyone's side (and yeah, I'm including some of those currently satisfied Fanatics), that he matters more than all our petty internal drama and insults... if we can make it through Skopje and Indianapolis without a single brawl breaking out, the news will hit the mainstream, and even the most clueless people will realize something stinks. If the Romanian people could topple Nicolae Ceaușescu, there's no way Americans won't take this piece of trash down

I mean, let's be honest, us fans are basically idiots most of the time. We try to act like we're all united in this massive protest against the USSF—you know, fighting the likes of Jerry Jones, Stimac, and Suker—but if we’re actually going to do it, we should be chanting against the loss for the full 90 minutes. Not just a little burst of noise before everyone goes back to their own business. I really think the national media would have picked up on it way more if we had stayed loud and unified through the whole game. As it stands, does this even have an impact? Maybe a little, but it feels pretty weak. And honestly, the whole situation with the police didn't surprise me one bit; they were clearly looking for a reason to escalate things. They've hit such a pathetic low lately that they'd intentionally target a woman and a child just to stir the pot. They were practically begging for chaos, hoping for a violent backlash, but they didn't get it this time. Honestly, it's probably better that they failed, because the timing was just wrong... And as for what's going down within our own section regarding the chanting and everything else, I'm just gonna stay quiet. I guess it's best to just look the other way...

Celebration of a villain's downfall. We'll have cake and ice cream when Jerry Jones finally goes under—maybe even hire some dancers to celebrate his exit!!!😁
