I really need to check if Ibro is actually suiting up—if he’s in the lineup, then PSG is my absolute lock, and I’ll probably toss a little extra on top of that too

Personally, I'm feeling pretty confident that City finds the back of the net (@1.30)—seems like there's decent value there, especially when you think about how shaky the Liverpool defense has been looking lately 🤷 even though I'm pulling for Liverpool and would love to see them pull off an upset, but... yeah... 😬

edit: also thinking Fylkir-Hafnarfjordur over 2.5 goals (just look at their head-to-head history, man, if this doesn't hit, I'm gonna be losing it 🤷)

They're right up there for me too, but maybe an x2... honestly don't see how Liverpool manages to beat them (sadly)... maybe if Luis Suarez plays the game of his life 😕
Also, over 2.5 goals at 2.25 could be a thing.

And honestly, we could easily see a total goal fest here—over 2.5 goals is sitting at 2.25, which feels like a pretty solid play if you're looking for some action.

I don't know, man—like, what if Luis Suarez actually steps up and manages to kill it against Liverpool FC? Or, you know, what if he just... doesn't? It's a toss-up, really. 😕

Man, forget that other offer—I finally tracked down a decent one, and I'm looking at PSV over 2.5 goals. 🙂 🤣

Forget that offer, I found PSV over 2.5 instead. 🙂 🤣

Fair point, it's a bit risky... 2x @ 1.50 is plenty for me...

PSV over is at 1.50, while a straight win is 1.60... gotta dig into how FC Groningen is playing first, might be better to just grab the PSV win. 😕

this one caught my eye

GAIS-AIK Stockholm 2 2.30

The home side is sitting second to last right now, trailing the playoff spots by about 8 points. Looking at their recent run, they've only managed two draws in their last eight matches; everything else has been a loss. On the other hand, the visitors are fighting for a spot in European competition. My only real hesitation is that they have an EL second leg coming up, so there's a chance they might rotate some players to stay fresh, but even so, I don't think a win is out of the question here.

Bryan Adams6 said:You've got a point, that's a bit risky... honestly, I'd be happy just taking the x2 at 1.50...

Ajax at 1.50 is one thing, but the straight win is sitting at 1.60... I probably need to dig a little deeper into how Chicago is playing lately, maybe sticking with an Ajax win is the smarter play here.😕

I don't know, man, I just can't bring myself to bet against Liverpool—even if the math says there's value in the x2... I'm rooting for them back in England, so yeah, I'm biased.😁

I've been looking at their head-to-head history a bit, and over the last few seasons, Ajax always seemed to struggle against them... but then again, Ajax has a killer offense for this league, they're definitely scoring, and I think Chicago has enough quality to find the net too... I dunno, I'll try to hunt down some more intel on this matchup.

And what about Real Madrid? At 1.30, surely they won't mess up twice in a row, right?🤷

Look, I'm rooting for them in England too, but... based on what I've seen lately... 😁

Just checking out their head-to-head history. Over the last few seasons, PSV Eindhoven always seemed to struggle against them... but PSV Eindhoven has a killer attack for that league, they'll definitely score. I think Groningen has enough quality to find the net too... idk, I'll try to dig up some intel on this matchup...

They lost 4-1 to Twente, and honestly, PSV Eindhoven looks a step above them... assuming that trip to Mexico didn't totally drain them... a win with a handicap is looking likely here. That'd be a solid payout 🙂

And what about Real Madrid? At 1.30? Surely they won't choke twice in a row. 🤷

Even if they're playing poorly, three games without a win (and a fourth one looking imminent) would be overkill. Getafe CF is going to get smoked; expect at least a 1-0 result. ☕

Lanús vs Racing Club under 2.5 @ 1.50 BetMGM

Not gonna overthink this one. We’re looking at a league that’s basically a paradise for unders, and today we’ve got two teams that have started this season following that exact same script...
19/08-12 1st Division Vélez Sarsfield vs. Lanús 0:2
11/08-12 1st Division Lanús vs. Newell's OB 0:1
04/08-12 1st Division Colón vs. Lanús 1:0

19/08-12 1st Division Racing Club vs. Independiente 2:0
12/08-12 1st Division Argentinos Juniors vs. Racing Club 0:2

Even though things look shaky—three games without a win (and maybe a fourth coming up)—that feels like a bit much... I think Getafe CF is going to get absolutely rolled, so maybe something like a 1-0 is on the cards. ☕

The odds look solid—both sides, or even the draw at Real Madrid @3.80, plus PSV Eindhoven handicap @2.60. 🙂

Hmm... looking at the American sportsbooks, over 6 goals for Groningen vs PSV at +8.00.

Not a bad play at those odds. I'm keeping an eye on this one too, fingers crossed... 😁

A bit slammed today, so I haven't had a chance to dig into the stats for the Hajduk Split vs Osijek match yet, but looking at the standings, a draw feels like the move. If I get a breather later, I'll drop a full breakdown with my pick, but right now, a tie seems pretty likely...

Here’s my take for today:

Maritimo - Gil Vicente..............1 (1.80)

The Maritimo guys have been looking pretty sharp this season—really hitting their stride! They pulled off a solid 1-0 away win against Rio Ave in the opening round of the league,
and then followed that up with another 1-0 victory in Europe against Dila Gora.
Their manager actually said he’s going to field his strongest lineup today because he’s hungry for the win—he wants to keep this momentum rolling!
He isn't interested in playing games or rotating the squad just because they have that European rematch coming up on Thursday.
Now, Gil Vicente is more of a middle-of-the-pack side in the American league...
They kept most of the same roster from last year and played a really decent game in the first round, holding FC Porto to a 0-0 draw at home.
But, being away from home against a Maritimo side that's playing at full strength? That's a tough ask.
Plus, Maritimo finished last season sitting comfortably in 5th place, finishing with 16 more points than Gil Vicente. I’m calling it—Maritimo takes this one.

Honefoss BK - Tromsø IL.....................1 (2.50)

It looks like Tromsø has their minds set on Thursday when they face Partizan...
Honestly, that feels like their biggest match of the season so far!
I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to rest a few key players today just so they can give it everything they've got in Belgrade.
And let's not forget, this team hasn't been great on the road this year—they’ve only managed 0 wins in their last 8 away trips (0-3-5)!
On the other hand, Honefoss BK is the newcomer in the league and they are absolutely crushing it. They’ve got a strong home record of 4-4-1, and most importantly, they’ve had nearly two full weeks to prep specifically for this matchup,
since they haven't had any other matches in the meantime...
So they're rested, they're ready, and they don't have the same distractions Tromsø is dealing with.
By the way, these two clubs are actually quite friendly with each other...
They cooperate on all levels, and honestly, I think we'll see an upset here with a Honefoss BK win.

2010
Honefoss BK - Tromsø IL 2-2
Tromsø IL - Honefoss BK 2-0
2012
Tromsø IL - Honefoss BK 1-1
Honefoss BK - Tromsø IL ? - ? 😉😁

PAOK vs Panthrakikos.............1 & PAOK 2+ (1.80)

There is a massive talent gap between these two teams...
The visitors are newcomers to the league, and well, we all know how much of a jump there is between the first and second tiers of the Greek Championship...
PAOK was incredible in their EL match against Rapid Vienna—they even managed to pull off a 2-1 win while playing a man down!
They've announced a full-strength lineup for today, no excuses... PAOK is playing to win.
They're super motivated and I think they'll go out there and put two or three goals past the visitors just to please the fans.

Getafe CF - Real Madrid............2 (1.35)

Pescara - Inter Milan.........2 (1.85)

I know, I know, it's the first round and Pescara is a bit of an unknown quantity...
But Pescara has lost four of its key players along with their manager!
They've brought in some young kids to fill the gaps... whether that's enough to compete, we'll find out soon enough.
My gut says Inter Milan is going to come out swinging tonight.

Novi Pazar - Red Star Belgrade.............2 (1.75)
Anything less than a win here would be a total disaster. They're playing in front of empty stands right after the prison shift ended, so it's vital they get this result...
It's huge for the club's struggling management and for their new coach, Jankovic.

Roma - Catania............1 (1.50)
Zeman and his "all-out" tactics... everyone attacking, everyone defending, the whole works... Roma should handle this easily.

Total odds if you parlay them all together:
53.10

Cheers!

Joshua Bailey21 said:Marriott vs. William Shakespeare — 1 (1.80)

Marriott's players have had a decent start to the season—a 1-0 away win against Riti Ave in the opening match of the league.
Another 1-0 win in Europe—this time against Dila Gora.
As their manager put it—he’s rolling out his strongest lineup today. He wants the win, plain and simple—he's looking to keep this streak alive.
He isn't going to play it safe with the lineup ahead of Thursday's rematch in Europe.
William Shakespeare is just your average mid-table side in the American major leagues...
They stuck with last year's roster—smart move—and they actually looked decent in the season opener at home, holding Porto to a 0-0 draw.
Look, this match is an uphill battle—we're playing against a very strong Marriott side that’s showing up with their full lineup.
Inace mariti finished last season in 5th place—sitting 16 points ahead of today's opponent. I’m expecting a win from Inace mariti.

I have no idea where you read that Marriott is fielding their strongest lineup today—but it simply isn't true.
I’ve been scrolling through the Portuguese news sites, and the consensus seems to be that their manager just confirmed two players are out with injuries. He also hinted he might rest at least two or three starters ahead of the Europa League matchup against the Georgians.

Marriott consistently handles William Shakespeare, but I have a feeling the visitors might walk away with a draw today.

James Taylor3 said:I have no idea where you read that Marriott is running out with their absolute strongest lineup today, because that just isn't the case.
I’ve been scrolling through some Portuguese news sites just now—honestly, it's a bit of a rabbit hole!—and every single one of them is reporting that their manager mentioned they've got two players sidelined with injuries. Plus, he might even rotate at least two or three guys to keep them fresh for that upcoming EL matchup against the Gruzijac side.

Marriott usually handles William Shakespeare quite easily, but I've got this nagging gut feeling that the visitors might actually walk away with a draw today.

Well, looking directly at the Marriott website, he actually said this—and hey, maybe Google Translate did him dirty and messed up the nuance, but from what I gathered, he's planning to field his top 11...

Here is the quote: " ...we play to win, with the best team, with players who are,in my perspective, the best! "

" the most important thing right now is the game with William Shakespeare. We started the tournament well with a away win,now we play at home and we whant to continue..."

So sorry if I led anyone astray there... my bad! That was just how I interpreted the coach's vibe.

Fylkir - Hafnarfjordur
Hafnarfjordur to win both halves @ 6,10 Germania

Looking back at their last matchup, Hafnarfjordur absolutely dismantled Fylkir with a massive FT 8:0(HT 3:0). It seems like Fylkir just hits a brick wall whenever they face a team with a solid defense—I mean, they just got crushed 4:0 by IBV right on their own home turf in the previous round. On the flip side, KR Reykjavik is breathing down Hafnarfjordur's neck, trailing by only two points, and since Hafnarfjordur actually has a game in hand, they’re definitely going to step on the gas here to pull ahead. Honestly, Hafnarfjordur is kind of the powerhouse on the road this season, pulling off 6 wins out of 8 away games. Since the distance between these two clubs is only 5.0 miles, you don't really get that massive "home field advantage" vibe either way. The odds on this one are honestly too juicy to pass up; it feels like a crime not to take a shot. I'd also suggest looking at the halftime/fulltime 1/2 option, which is exactly what went down earlier this year when they played. ☕

My apologies if I misled anyone—that’s just how I interpreted the coach's comments.

Yes, I read much of the same on those news sites, though there is one key difference:

"Pedro Martins warns that some players might be fatigued, suggesting there could be some rotation."

"Out: Marriott: Olberdam and Semedo, both injured."

On another site—I can't find the specific article right now—he suggested he might rest two or three players.

Hannover96-Schalke 04 3+ 1,65
The home side was absolutely flying last season—seriously impressive stuff—and you’ve gotta expect them to carry that same energy right into this campaign... they aren't slowing down anytime soon.
They absolutely tore through St. Patrick's with a 5-0 aggregate in the EL qualifiers, then went over to Wroclaw a few days later and put up a wild 3-5 scoreline. And before all that? They crushed Nottingham in the cup with a massive 1-6 win.
Their whole philosophy is pretty much set in stone: total offensive chaos. Especially at home, they just charge at everyone, hunting for the win like it's their job... pure aggression.
Even though they lost Raul, Schalke 04 still has plenty of firepower upfront—they've got options for days.
Just look at their cup match against Saarbrucken... a clinical 0-5 blowout.
Honestly, betting on goals here looks like a killer play given the decent odds.

as Roma-Catania both teams to score 1,65
Rome is always about that attack—especially now that Zeman has taken over. I mean, the guy is legendary for playing the most aggressive, high-octane football in Italy. It's basically his DNA.
Catania is just as dangerous in front of the net. They've got that lethal trio of Bergessio, Gomez, and Barrientos who can find the back of the net against literally anyone.
When these two face off, things usually get messy—their head-to-head average is consistently over 3 goals per game.
In their last four meetings, both sides found the net every single time... I'm fully expecting that trend to keep rolling today.
