Scott Gonzalez18 said:When does an unpaid fine actually expire?

I've got this feeling that they've basically done away with those statute of limitations rules entirely, which is honestly such a headache because I'm sitting here looking at a fine that’s already two years old 🤷

junk.

Look, if you don't want to end up in jail but you're broke, you can always ask to do some community service instead.🙂

ruggedowl71 said:I guess there's just no more statute of limitations on this stuff, and that's the kicker... mine’s already sitting at two years old now. 🤷

There's definitely some kind of expiration involved, but I think they just bumped up the window... maybe to three or four years? Personally, I'm hitting nearly three years on my end and still nothing...

I’m pretty sure there’s a statute of limitations in place, but they seem to have bumped up the timeframe. I can't recall if it's three or four years now. It’s been nearly three years for me and still nothing has happened.

Statute of limitations on enforcement
- 2 years
- Absolute statute of limitations is 3 years
- Calculated from the date the final court judgment is issued

So why isn't Druker testifying then? 🤷

If you don't know them, you pay the price. 😁

Well, if you don't know who they are, you're going to pay the price. 😁

🤣 It’s pretty obvious our local cops have been watching way too many American crime dramas. 😁

It wasn't even at the football game, just handball, but whatever...
So yesterday we had this handball match, Columbus vs. Palm Springs... It was intense, and the refs were straight-up stealing. We’re all there screaming our heads off, and then these guys pull the game and tell us if we insult anyone else, they'll shut the whole thing down for good. Ridiculous. At this rate, how many years until we're all forced to sit in our seats clapping with those pathetic little noisemakers? 🙂

Look, this doesn't even have anything to do with the fans, but honestly? I’m glad that scumbag got hit with a heavier sentence. Not that it’s enough—if you ask me, he should’ve gotten way more—but whatever. Under our current laws, the max they can give for a murder like that is 15 years. Just goes to show how things work here...

Look, the maximum sentence for first-degree murder is 40 years, but this guy was convicted of "second-degree" murder, which carries a max of somewhere between 5 and 15 years under our laws.

I know, that's why I said it. They squared up, he went out looking for a gun, tracked them down, and then shot the kid three times in the back. You tell me how that's not first-degree.

I guess I didn't quite catch your drift with that first comment, but hey, if you're saying we should be on the same page, I'm with you. If this doesn't count as a heinous crime under our laws, then I don't even know what does. And honestly, the worst part is he just snuffed out a young life and walked away with basically nothing—he won't even serve a full sentence. It’s just... it's a total nightmare, really.

Under US law, first-degree murder carries a sentence of 10 to 15 years or even life behind bars.
I don't know the full specifics of the case or how the legal process will play out, but off the top of my head, the aggravating circumstances here could potentially fall under
murder committed with extreme cruelty, killings motivated by reckless vengeance or other low motives, or premeditated murder carried out in an especially treacherous manner.
But I don't have all the details, so I'll leave it at that.

Still, considering the track record of our courts and how judges typically rule in these situations, this actually qualifies as a heavy sentence (unfortunate as that may be to say).
We'll just have to wait and see if the appellate courts decide to uphold the ruling

I’m no lawyer, but I'm guessing the point is he didn't have this mapped out beforehand, nor was he doing it for some payday or whatever.

In my book, you're talking first-degree when someone spends months plotting to kill their grandma just because they know she’s leaving them a massive ranch in Montana... and then they slip some arsenic in her tea.

I’ve got a few things on my mind, so if anyone feels like helping a guy out..

Regarding those train fines, do you actually have to cough up the cash once they hit you with them?
And what kind of trouble am I looking at if security catches me with pyrotechnics at the gate? Or even worse, if the cops are waiting for me after the game is over?

I also have this one question that I honestly doubt anyone can answer... so, there was this one night during an Italy vs. USA match, we were watching the broadcast in a tent... naturally, when our guys scored a goal, everyone started lighting flares, and suddenly security and the police just swoop in and drag people out... what was the deal with that, what was their actual excuse?! Is there any way you can get penalized for stuff like that?
Cheers, thanks in advance

Train fines?? Man, you don't pay a dime, it's not even worth worrying about. But if you get caught with fireworks before or after a match, the procedure is always the same—you're looking at about 12 hours in holding and then you head straight to court where you'll get slapped with a fine and at least a one-year ban from both club and national team games.....as for the other stuff, I'm not totally sure, so that's all I got for ya.
