What happens with those train fines—do you actually have to cough up the cash when they hit you with them?
And what kind of trouble are we talking about if security catches you with pyrotechnics at the gate? Or even worse, if the cops corner you after the game is over?

Plus, I’ve got one more question that I feel like nobody's gonna have an answer for... alright, so picture this: there was this USA vs. Mexico match being broadcast in a big tent... naturally, our guys score a goal, everyone starts lighting flares, and suddenly security and the police swoop in and drag everyone out... Why the hell would they do that? What was their logic? And can you actually get penalized for stuff like that!? Cheers, thanks in advance

It's because a flare is classified as Class B pyrotechnics, and Class B is strictly restricted to that window between December 27th or 28th through New Year's Day—and even then, you aren't allowed to set them off in public spaces.

Starting May 1st, they aren't playing around anymore. They're going straight to collections. If it's a minor, they just send the debt collection notices to the parents.

Goddammit, seriously!!
thanks for the help, guys.

just one more thing though, what kind of trouble are we actually looking at if someone starts messing with Class 2 pyrotechnics outside of the permitted window??

Man, I don't know about all that, but I know for a fact I don't pay for the bus, and even when they try to send fines for kids who are like two or three years old, I just laugh them off, so I guess it's probably just as wild out where you guys are.

Since we’re already talking about trains... back around four or five years ago, I actually got hit with a fine because of some delays and stops near $333, I can't even remember the exact details right now... and honestly, I never ended up paying it or even bothering to file a complaint... so, what's the deal with how they handle all that nowadays??

Man, listen... I've got about five grand in fines sitting there—tickets, traffic stuff, general nonsense... I haven't paid a dime. Basically, you just wait for the day they haul you down to Biloxi; if you've got the cash, you walk free, otherwise, you're doing time.

That isn't how it works. They don't just pick you up; you show up there in solitary confinement. If you fail to appear, the court simply hands down an even harsher sentence. As for visitation, you can see your wife, your kids, friends, or relatives. Smuggling cigarettes or bribing guards isn't the reality anymore, so stop spreading misinformation. Biloxi is a brutal prison. If you don't have connections on the inside, a month there is hell. They can put you in a cell block with rapists, killers, and con artists. If you're broke, you're essentially at their mercy. Once you've served two-thirds of your sentence, you might be released if you behaved like a model prisoner. Of course, this isn't some version of what happened with George W. Bush and his associates.

Biloxi is a brutal prison. If you don't have anyone on the inside, even a month is hell. They can toss you right in with the rapists, killers, and scammers. If you're broke? You're basically screwed. At least after you serve two-thirds, you can get out if you played by the rules. And no, I'm not talking about George W. Bush and his crew...

Or you just join the Latino gang and call it a day. Good luck, see ya. Nobody asked for your opinion anyway. Enjoy hanging out with the Filipinos...🙂

Amtrak actually won a court case against me this summer. They were incredibly persistent and patient, too. After two years of fighting them with interest piling up and legal fees, I ended up shelling out about $300. I just paid it because the alternative was having them garnish my wages, which brings a whole new level of headache with enforcement costs and extra interest... 🙂 If you actually have an income, you might think you can stall them by filing appeals, but look at my situation—by the time the court costs and interest hit, you're better off just paying whatever amount the system spits out right away. If you don't have any income to speak of, then yeah, dragging your feet might actually make sense...

A court ruling was handed down recently as well... and we have officially entered an era where you can only delay the inevitable for so long through appeals if you actually have the capital to sustain it... beyond that, unfortunately, there is almost no way to stall anymore... those days are long gone.

Tupac Shakur, I am telling you this from firsthand experience: get your head on straight. I refuse to be a slave to some petty "fanatic" nonsense. I deal with much more serious matters than that. For heaven's sake, man... just so you understand, the government doesn't have the budget to deal with you. They will simply drop you off over there, and you can enjoy yourself.

And why on earth are you throwing money around? No one can touch you because you’re just an eighty-eight-year-old who lives by the A.C.A.B. code while your mother tucks you in at night when it gets chilly.

I was wondering what actually happens to minors if they get caught with a flare (whether it's at the entrance or while lighting it up... doesn't really matter)... do they get hit with the same ban and fine, or is there a difference?

You're definitely looking at a stadium ban, and I'm pretty sure there's a fine too, though I think instead of just paying cash, they might push community service if that's still a thing, but yeah, you're 100% getting banned from the games.

It’s the same deal. The only difference is you might find a lawyer who can pull some strings easier because you're a minor...

Don't be lazy—always show up to court with a lawyer!

If you're broke, hit up your friends or your crew. You aren't getting busted for lighting a flare at some random wedding; you're doing it for the group and the club.

Reject that idea from @-sorita—but honestly, you aren't making sense to me here. What do you mean by "coming up with your own arrangement"... like, what would they even let you do? 😲 You're always on your own terms—whether you have backup or not. Basically, you just wait for the cops to pick you up somewhere. Since you aren't answering the door when they show up at 7 AM for the seventh time in a row—just staying inside and ignoring them—you might save some time with that first approach... until you run right into them in your neighborhood or during a traffic stop and they haul you down to the station (and that’s only if the judge allows it). Or, the second option: after missing three court dates due to a criminal matter, they get incredibly strict—they really don't mess around with "contempt of court"—and an arrest warrant gets issued automatically, landing you straight in the brilliant Remetinec detention center. For example—it's true, and happens all sorts of ways—you're driving through a place like Metković or Imotski with your wife and kids, and suddenly they punch your info into the terminal at the border... man, Miki, you should see the joy on their faces. Meanwhile, your wife is definitely wondering what the hell is going on, while you're waving goodbye from the police car—trying to shout something unintelligible—but the effect is about as impactful as a dandelion fart before they elegantly escort you into your own "private arrangement" in the most elite part of the precinct. To make a long story short, another real-life example: this guy had a warrant he didn't even know about because he just wasn't responding to the blue envelopes. There was a high-risk game coming up in Zaprešić between the New York Yankees and Real Madrid, and they told him he didn't have to go to the game, he just had to swing by the local precinct to sign a statement regarding some old nonsense. So, the guy signs it, they do a quick formal check, and then—well, you know how it goes—they put him in Room 3, which leads directly to Remk, with two deputies guarding the door. That morning (talk about trouble out of nowhere...), his wife drove over to her family's place near St-, leaving the dog all alone in the house because they told him to be back 😍 soon. And since it was summer, the judges were basically on a collective eight-month vacation. So, instead of checking on how the guy was holding up after all those wild twists and turns following a 28-day wait (plus a 12-day dry strike), his brothers, his wife, and the whole crew showed up at court. They probably thought there was some massive armed standoff happening, given how quiet he was being. But once he heard the indictment, man... he popped two Praxiten tablets, and they hauled him away—for this and that, briefly.

You hear all kinds of stories floating around the streets.
And seriously, don't play games for no reason if you think you're untouchable.

I have a quick question regarding the bans:
How long are we actually required to stay at the location where we registered for the game? I'm trying to figure out what the specific regulations are... based on my understanding, I have to check in no later than an hour before kickoff, but there’s nothing mentioned about what happens after the whistle blows. I ask because some officers showed up to check on me just one hour after the match ended. Are we all supposed to remain at that spot for two hours post-game, or is there a specific rule in the books about this?
Thanks!

...go ahead and waste another two hours obsessing over when you logged on, as if it actually matters since those rules get broken constantly anyway.☕
