Or that 3 is greater than 4?

Or that I'd rather be eaten alive by worms than take a vacation in the Canary Islands?

Is that what you're getting at?

And just to add one more thing I remembered in the meantime,

one more fact: Alain Prost was a total piece of work.

It’s widely known he slept with his boss Gerard Larrousse's wife back before the 1983 race at Zandvoort.

A year earlier, he allegedly slept with the wife of his best friend, Jacques Laffite.

Then, in that same year of 1983, when Larrousse's wife fell in Kuala Lumpur, he was reportedly seen hanging around Nelson Piquet's wife (Nelson's mom). Now, whether that's solid fact or just rumors, I don't know, but it is reliably reported that two years later, a paranoid Nelson Piquet actually wanted to run a paternity test on his firstborn son. (Yeah, Nelson—that poor guy from the Crashgate scandal.)

Just imagine. Imagine if Lewis Hamilton first seduced Withmarsh's wife, then went after Alonso's wife, and then finally Jenson Button's wife. Just picture it. It’s unthinkable. And that’s exactly why it’s unthinkable and nearly impossible, yet Alain pulled it off. Alain is the ultimate legend in motorsports history.

I can imagine plenty of things, but the idea of someone that unattractive snatching women away just doesn't fly with me. Plus, you’ve got women hanging around Formula 1 garages who still end up falling for a face like Prost's 😬 It's also funny how "best friends" act when they're busy stealing each other's women 🤦

I’ve spent a long time making excuses for his outbursts by chalking them up to him being young, but he isn't exactly a child who needs his hand held anymore. I still haven't heard his side of the story—the actual, honest version. Every time I watch ABC, they are obsessed with him; they follow him everywhere and interview him constantly, but since the whole broadcast is clearly sponsored by Red Bull, you aren't going to hear anything insightful. It’s funny how right after a race, you can hear from Martin Haug, Christian Horner, Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg, Adrian Sutil—basically every German in Formula 1—but it seems Vettel always has to check in with his own opinion at Red Bull Racing before anyone actually hears from him.

Where are you getting that?
That's just not true.😕 🤷

For instance, look at what he said on CBS right after the race...

"Obviously I focus on myself and so does he I guess. Especially after what happened in the past people have different opinions, I have opinion, I have my experiences and sometimes, good and bad, you get to know people a little better and see their true faces. So I think I have learned my lesson and focus on myself."

I’d say the kid is finally waking up
and will likely pull himself together soon enough.😍

Beyond that, I think it’s tough for a guy who’s barely 23 to be in this position—dealing with a much older, relentless Mark Webber and the overall team atmosphere (which, if you ask me, he’s contributed the least to). Honestly, I think plenty of drivers much older and more mature than him would handle this situation significantly worse. He's actually behaving quite well. 🤷 In fact, looking at how Mark and he act, you'd think their ages and experience levels were reversed.

That’s also my biggest gripe with Mark; he’s got way too many years under his belt to be acting this erratic, both on and off the track.

I thought you guys just couldn't stand Lewis Hamilton, but now it looks like you actually can't stand anyone who finishes ahead of Vettel or Fernando Alonso—which is honestly pretty pathetic.👎

And do I even need to point out that Mark Webber showed a level of backbone that the other drivers unfortunately lack? It's no surprise his popularity climbs with every single race, while those other two are seeing theirs plummet uncontrollably.😉

After watching yesterday's race, when it comes down to the championship fight, I am definitely pulling for Webber...👍
Since Mercedes AMG doesn't have a car capable of winning the title, and neither does Kimi...😁
By the way, regarding Kimi 🙏
Ferrari and Alonso 🤦 why didn't they let Robert Kubica back in? It makes absolutely no sense to me...🤷

I mean, seriously, I don't get it. I honestly can't recall a single one of Jenson Button's overtakes, and there had to be at least eight!😕

Is it just that he nails his pit stops and starts every single time? Or does the director just hate him and refuse to show his moves?🤷

Basically, he pulls off what Michael Schumacher used to do during his prime days—though, let's be real, it's hard to remember many of his actual overtakes either. When he needs to go, he just puts in these incredible laps (you can totally see it if you're watching the live timing) and steadily gains a few spots that way. The biggest factor is strategy; this year, I don't think they missed a beat once, usually picking something completely different from the competition...

And for everyone screaming about how the guy doesn't know how to pass—look, Button is actually one of those rare drivers who has overtaken Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen, Felipe Massa, Juan Pablo Montoya, Lewis Hamilton, and pretty much everyone else multiple times throughout his career...

Take, for instance, his statement on CBS right after the race...

I’d say the kid is slowly finding his footing 😍 and he'll definitely pull himself together.

Beyond that—and I really mean this—it can't be easy for a guy barely 23 years old to be in this position, dealing with a much older, aggressive Mark Webber, especially given the current team atmosphere (which, if you ask me, he hasn't contributed much to). Honestly, I think plenty of drivers who are significantly older and more mature would handle this pressure far worse than he is. He's actually behaving quite well 🤷 In fact, looking at how Mark and he interact, you'd almost think their ages and experience levels were reversed.

That’s also my biggest grievance with Mark—he’s got way too many years under his belt to be acting out like this, both on and off the track.

It’s easy for them to say these things to the media—they aren't even in the same league as Fernando Alonso anyway. What matters is what happens on the track, and Vettel consistently delivers there.

Webber has nothing to fear from Vettel; his experience has taught him that being blunt is enough, especially since the kid doesn't have the guts to push back, no matter the consequences.

In the long run, that's a bad approach for Webber, but let's face it—he won't be driving for another 15 years, while Vettel intends to. Vettel should have used this moment to command respect, but he's doing the exact opposite; eventually, nobody is going to fear or respect him.

He'll end up just like Giancarlo Fisichella.🤷

The kid doesn't know how to fight back; he’ll either dive into the fray or just step aside to go grab some popcorn. 👍

That’s what you call irresistible French charm—women just can't help themselves.

Just look at Gerard Depardieu—what a disaster, yet he's managed to charm half the world.

I actually have some French genes myself (I'll cover that more in my thread when I lay out my family tree in a post about my blue blood), so I know firsthand exactly what kind of effect my French heritage has on the ladies.

You're full of it. 👎
If Kobayashi holding up a driver (basically being unable to overtake him) meant Lewis Hamilton ended up back in the same spot he was last race, and you only started complaining because the penalty didn't actually affect Hamilton, then

You're being rude, as usual.
And confusing. What are you even trying to get at? Explain yourself; not everyone follows your line of thinking.

I don't get Vettel. Up until now, I've been making excuses for his outbursts because he's young, but he isn't exactly a kid who needs his hand held. I still haven't heard his side of the story—the actual, honest truth. I watch every ABC broadcast and they talk about him constantly, following him around and interviewing him, but since the whole ABC coverage is clearly sponsored by Red Bull, you never hear anything intelligent. It’s funny how right after a race, you can hear from Martin Haug, Christian Horner, Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg, Adrian Sutil—basically every German in Formula 1—but Vettel always has to go check with his bosses at Red Bull before he's allowed to speak.

It reminds me of teenagers going through puberty when their hormones kick in and they have no outlet. It makes me wonder: does the guy even have a brain? If not, his mood swings make sense. On the other hand, maybe Red Bull should just give him a bull to shoot at so he can finally calm down.

And why is that weird? Unlike Webber, he doesn't feel the need to go wild and then act like a saint while picking fights with everyone on the side.

I used to think Webber was just dealing with massive mood swings where he'd literally lose it and act like a raging bull on the track—sometimes he nails it, sometimes he flies off into the air.

Besides, what wise words does Vettel need to say to respond to all this? After every disaster and every race, he should just say, "Webber is an idiot," "Christian Horner is an idiot," "I am an idiot," or "We are all idiots," just like some kid would.🤷

Mark Webber doesn't really have anything to fear from Vettel; his experience has taught him that being aggressive is enough, and that the kid just doesn't have the guts to push back, no matter how messy things get.

Does he lack guts, or is he just not a psycho? 😁 I guess it depends on how you interpret this "refusal to retaliate."

By that logic, we could also say Jenson Button always backs down and lacks courage... but I suspect it's actually the opposite. It’s probably not about courage at all, but rather about wisdom and having a cool enough head to avoid driving straight into a wall.

Besides, that's exactly what I'm worried about: 😁 the possibility that the kid might "learn" the wrong lesson... that he has to act like a crazy Mark Webber—wasting both his own points and his teammate's—just to stop someone from acting like an idiot.

It’s honestly pretty sad if respect has to be earned that way, 🤷 especially when it's expected from an older, more mature teammate.

And it’s also a bit depressing if people value Webber's style—which is often dirty and aggressive—over someone intelligent and balanced, like Button for example.

It's interesting how Webber has gained so much sympathy for all his whining (😛 😁), when he should really just be thankful he even landed a seat in a car like this. Meanwhile, we don't hear anyone complaining about Jenson Button, like how he supposedly isn't treated as the priority or how Lewis's car was prepped perfectly for qualifying while his barely made it through Qualifying 2. 🙂 He's nothing like Gumbek, whining about unequal treatment, and besides, the guy is a reigning world champion. As for Webber? Aside from being as old as the Bible? 😳

I couldn't help but laugh at that too, honestly. 😢 I guess it’s still true that their starts were a mess; they really struggled there. If they could've fixed that, maybe they would've actually had a shot at the championship. 🤦 What is he even talking about? 🤣

Exactly! That’s my take on it. 🙏 Nice one, Nando. 🙏 Whatever happens, we’re going to win. 👋 🙂 😁

Besides being as old as the Bible? 😳

Don't compare Sebastian Vettel to Jenson Button. Button consistently finishes high up and scores points by driving patiently, avoiding unnecessary risks and waiting for his moment, whereas Vettel constantly tries too hard and ends up with disastrous results.

That might have been true last season, but not this one. This year, Vettel actually finishes races. And once we hit the second half of the season, just like every other year, your team is gonna go bye-bye.😬

I have to disagree with you there. That was just classic Lewis Hamilton—braking way too hard, which is something that’s always rubbed me the wrong way. As for Mark Webber, he was just looking for an opening to get past Fernando Alonso. Most drivers would’ve made that exact same move. I don't see anything dirty about it.

Chris Ortiz said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buArr...x=0&playnext=1

I used to be such a huge fan of Kimi Räikkönen. Honestly, part of me still wishes he’d make a comeback to Formula 1. But looking at this, I don't see any malicious intent behind what happened. It was just a freak accident. At those speeds, everything happens in a split second.

Chris Ortiz said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z0cj...eature=related

I'm honestly done debating this one. There wasn't any mistake on Webber's part at all—this was purely a Vettel mistake. You're better off just watching this clip.

If you ask me, this whole thing feels rigged.

this Horner is a complete idiot🤦

http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpa...s_art_id=41439

"My one regret is that I didn't have time to discuss the issue with Mark personally prior to qualifying as I'm sure that would have given him a more balanced understanding."

What the hell is that moron thinking? He stripped the wing off Webber's car without even telling him or having a single word with him about it.😲

God, what a tool.🤦 Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Webber lost his mind and rammed Vettel; he probably wouldn't even care.😳
This Horner is legitimately unhinged. You just don't do things like that.👎

I wonder if that idiot even bothered to tell Vettel what he did or why.👎
I mean, I get the reasoning, and it’s fine by me—it makes sense that new parts go to the championship leader. No argument there. But stripping parts off one car to give to another is just questionable and plain stupid.

Look, it might be okay if:
They take the new part and give the other guy the old spec instead.
Or they swap the new part to the lead driver, provided both drivers know and are cool with it.

But doing it without talking to the drivers or explaining the "why" behind it? Total brain fade. You have to be incredibly clueless to pull that.👎

Seriously, these idiots. They would've done less damage if they'd just grabbed a gas can, doused the car, and torched it in the garage. Absolute clowns.👎

I assumed they had a meeting and explained the whole plan to the drivers, and that Webber was just throwing a fit because he didn't like the call.
But saying they "didn't have time 🙄 to talk to him" is pure stupidity. Mark is 100% right to be pissed, and honestly, Horner deserves a massive slap for this.👍

And it’s like Webber is practically begging them to kick him out. 🙏
