And it's like Webber is practically begging them to kick him out. 🙏

Maybe Kimi's lawyer drafted his contract.
😬

Besides, why not? He signed it. If they dump him, he walks away with a massive payday.

If they don't, these idiots might actually end up making him their number one driver. Then maybe Mark wins a title—though honestly, that feels like a total stretch.

Since Vettel is clearly the superior driver here, the solution is actually pretty straightforward.

Ditch Webber and bring in a real number one.

It’s just like when McLaren brought in Kovalainen so a young, fast Hamilton could focus on clinching the title.

The current vibe feels a lot like McLaren 2007, especially with this Horner—the one who basically said, "I didn't have time to tell him we put new parts on the car."

He'd lose even the most loyal followers. 🙏

Bit of an understatement 😬

I have to say, given how crazy things are right now, even though I don't particularly care for McLaren—and definitely don't root for Lewis—I find myself pulling for Gumbekić to take the championship 😳 Em, mostly because he's just a likable guy both on and off the track, and he keeps proving he deserves it. Plus, if we're being honest (switching to evil mode here😳), it would be even more devastating for Hemić than if Nando took the title instead 🤣

Go Gumbekić, go 😍

Look, I gotta say, in this absolute circus of a situation, even though I don't care about McLaren and I definitely don't care about Lewis, I’m actually rooting for Gumbekić to take the title. 😳 Look, I like the guy. He’s a class act both on and off the track, and he proves time and time again that he belongs at the top level. But honestly? Evil mode on...😳It would be even worse for Hemić if Nando actually snatched the title. 🤣

go Gumbekić 😍

I won't fully agree here. Even though I can't stand Lewis, you have to admit he’s an incredible driver with massive heart. But between the two guys actually in the hunt for the title this year, I'd much rather see Button take it. He delivers real results without all the hand-wringing and that fake, greasy smile. He's proven he deserves the championship.

Massu to RB 😬

Webber to Ferrari😈😈😈 (Turbo-evil mode on😳)

I just watched the footage of Alonso overtaking Kubica... honestly, neither he nor his teammates at Ferrari have their heads on straight. We see moves like this all the time, and typically, the driver who takes the shortcut through the chicane is forced right back into position before the very next turn. I have no idea what they were thinking.🤷It feels like Ferrari is starting to act as amateurish as Red Bull.

We see stuff like this all the time where the driver who makes the move through the chicane immediately gives the spot back before the next turn. I don't get what they were drinking. 🤷Ferrari is starting to look as amateurish as Red Bull.

Then why don't you find me even one example of those "countless" situations?
If there really are as many as you claim, finding ten of them shouldn't be much of a struggle for you.

I wouldn't even know where to start looking, since a driver who pulls an overtake like that usually just disappears into the pack without anyone noticing. 🤷 Maybe stormybadger8 can track it down; they have a knack for digging things up.

But come on, Amanda, are you seriously telling me you aren't aware of the rule? Let's drop the fanboy nonsense—have you really watched Formula 1 in this day and age and never seen a driver forced to give back a position after cutting a chicane to overtake? I highly doubt there's a single Formula 1 enthusiast alive who doesn't know that.

Here’s a link to a case where Hamilton was penalized despite trying to correct his position, simply because he retook it too early.

Don't even bother, Gilbert... I honestly don't get why we have to explain this to Amanda Kelly. If it were just some random troll on a forum, I wouldn't be surprised, but for someone who claims to actually follow the races like she says...

If there truly were "endless" instances, then surely finding about ten of them shouldn't be such a chore for you, right?

I can think of two off the top of my head, though there have definitely been more.😬
Maybe even a dozen over the last few years, but honestly, none of them ever seemed to cause this much of a massive uproar...

It’s just like when Whiting pulled that stunt back in 2008, acting like everything was fine just to dodge a penalty after the race🤣🤣is pure insanity, and now the guys at Ferrari are actually complaining about the ruling; honestly, they've just gotten way too soft over the years under the old regime😂😂

And when Webber lapped Vettel... 🤣

so then you think Vettel lapped Webber back? 🤷

Which race were you even watching? Even after a few Beer, I'm not this confused. 😬 🤣

PS, we're in the wrong thread anyway, so we're all just lost. 😬

stormybadger8 said:So, when exactly did Webber actually jump ahead of Vettel for a full lap? I feel like I've seen clips of it, but my memory is kind of fuzzy on the specific race... 🤣

So, when exactly do you think Vettel actually pulls ahead of Webber again?🤷

Wait, which race were you even watching? I’m sitting here a few beers deep and honestly—I am way more confused than this after that finish.😬🤣

Plus, we’re all in the wrong thread anyway—honestly, we’ve all just lost our minds at this point. 😬

Alright, TBF, what exactly is tripping you up here? 😕 Right at the start of the race—right around the time they were hitting those pit entry turns—while Vettel was basically cruising in dead last, Webber started closing in on him. I swear, I distinctly remember Blazic mentioning that Webber was actually gaining a full lap on his own teammate. ☕ Look, I’m really not that crazy—honestly. ☕
I don't care what kind of stuff you're on—whatever it is that's got you seeing things that aren't there—it doesn't change my mind. I know exactly what I saw.
ps: honestly, you might just need to grab a Beer and chill out. 😉

Fan biases are strange things, and that blind loyalty can be blinding.

Thank God I’m split on this. Even though I’m a huge fan of Fernando—I’m totally rooting for that underdog—it’s crystal clear to me that both Alonso and Ferrari are completely out of it this year.👎 They’d be better off heading home rather than embarrassing themselves and fans like Clark. They should just go back next year when they’re rested and have their heads on straight. A one-year hiatus would do them good, much like what Brawn did back in the day.

So you're actually claiming he passed him? ☕

Nicole Reyes97 said:Look, stormybadger8, what part of this are you struggling to wrap your head around? 😕 At the start of the race, right around those pit entry turns while Fettel was looking convincingly dead last, Webber started closing in on Vettel, and I know for a fact that... Blazic weighed in. How exactly is Webber going to lap his own teammate? ☕ I'm not that crazy. ☕️
I don't care what you're on. I know exactly what I saw.
PS: Maybe you should just go grab a Beer and chill out ;)

And you somehow manage to find someone worth listening to.🤣😂😂

Webber didn't manage to lap Vettel even once during the entire race.🙄

So, does that mean Vettel would’ve had to be freaking lightning on the track—like, 3 to 5 seconds faster per lap than Webber—just to catch up to the same lap?🤣

That wouldn't just be brilliant—it would be legendary. We're talking cosmic, god-tier, absolute perfection. It’d be the greatest drive in Formula 1 history, leaving Alonso looking like a complete amateur hiding in a hole.🤣🤣

stormybadger8 said:and you just end up listening to whoever you want🤣😂😂

Mark Webber didn't lap Sebastian Vettel even once during that entire race.🙄

So, if we're doing the math, does that mean Vettel actually needed to be freaking faster than Webber by like, 3 to 5 seconds a lap just to catch back up to the same lap?🤣

And honestly—and I mean this—that wouldn't just be "good" driving, it would be legendary, cosmic, the absolute greatest drive in NASCAR history... like, the kind of stuff where Fernando Alonso would just have to hide in a hole somewhere.🤣 🤣

Look, man, I know what I heard.
I wasn't staring at the TV right at that second, but there's no way Blažicko is actually that clueless about Vettel's car.☕ 🤷
And I'm not sitting here crunching his lap times because, frankly, I don't care.

Believe whatever you want. I really don't give a damn.👍

If there really were "countless" examples, I guess you could probably find about ten of them without much trouble.

Look, Amanda Kelly, I'm a Ferrari fan too, but Alonso should have just given the spot back immediately. Sure, he squeezed him because there was nowhere else to go—but still, he should've yielded. He would've overtaken Robert Kubica later anyway.

The race itself was great, though.
Ferrari's performance was rough—actually, let's call it an absolute embarrassment. Maybe we can say Alonso just had some bad luck with the timing of the SC and his penalty, but Massa? Man, what was he thinking... Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed.

Mark Ruiz8 said:but Massa? Man, what is he even doing there... I'm honestly just disappointed.

Massa is only there for the marketing. They need to keep all those folks in the American slums occupied until some new Brazilian talent shows up, but there isn't anyone on the horizon. Senna is a legend, Rubinho is washed up, Di Grassi is a nobody, and Pike is finished. So, they have to keep Massa around. Otherwise, Massa is in deep trouble. He gets headaches constantly and his tinnitus is getting worse, but nobody talks about it, obviously.
