Everything. 😬

My main goal was just shortening the tip—it used to dip way too much whenever I smiled, though it looked flatter when I was being serious. Now, it doesn't dip anymore and it's shorter, but since it looks normal enough when I'm not smiling, nobody even realizes I had surgery.

Did they cut that muscle above your lip? They did mine. My nose still looks a little long or droopy from the front view regardless... nothing crazy, but it lacks that feminine, lifted look.

But from the profile view, the change is way more obvious—you can really see how much straighter and more symmetrical it is.

True... but honestly, the actual size difference isn't that huge compared to before.

stormyharbor2 said:jadedriver0, I think you totally missed the heart of what I was saying. It isn't really about whether someone has "willpower" or not, because there are just certain things in life that are completely out of our hands—some people are simply born with these struggles. I mean, if we look at it through a medical lens, is someone with schizophrenia to blame for being ill? Of course not. Now, I’m not trying to equate schizophrenia directly with bulimia, but honestly, who are we to play judge and decide which mental health struggle carries more weight than another? Those girls with the extreme insecurities you were talking about sound genuinely unwell to me; I don't feel like mocking them, I actually feel a sense of pity for them. That is, unless we are talking about the ones whose entire existence revolves around chasing fame and trying to become a regular fixture on the Red Carpet—those aren't people struggling with illness, they're just shallow. 🤷

P.S. I highly doubt anyone here actually expects us to swoop in and fix their life problems for them. At least, I know I certainly don't.

Sorry for going off on a tangent, but I just felt like I had to get this off my chest.😢

Signed, michaela!

jadedriver0, you're just being hateful, and frankly, your views seem pretty outdated since you clearly don't understand much about mental health issues. 🙄

People die from depression and they die from bulimia too, and it's honestly twisted to glamorize it like it's some kind of lifestyle choice.

Also... though the difference in size compared to before isn't actually that massive.

To be honest, I have no clue. 😂 When I was at the consultation explaining what I wanted, the surgeon suggested cutting that specific muscle, but then during our last chat right before the surgery, I completely blanked on asking if he was actually going to go through with it. I just totally forgot to confirm.

Anyway, I specifically asked for the tip not to be upturned, but rather flat, so I actually want it to drop down a few more millimeters.

stormyharbor2 said:I honestly can't say... I've stopped dwelling on it too much. 🤷 From the front, it looks almost exactly how it did before the surgery, just a bit flatter and maybe a tiny bit shorter? I actually quite like one of the profiles (🤣), though there are still some minor things that bother me. I just have to hope everything settles perfectly eventually.

@stormyharbor2/">@@stormyharbor2, I feel the exact same way. Looking at it from the front, it’s nearly identical to how it was pre-op. I will say it looks a little crooked to me, but as the days pass and I stop staring at myself in the mirror so intensely, it actually starts looking better—even with the swelling still there... and everyone keeps telling me they can see a difference, and a good one at that.😬 😬 I'm just hoping that in a few months, all this swelling subsides and I'll finally have the nose I want.😉

Carol Diaz31 said:I'm not sure what specific changes you were aiming for, but mine also looks pretty much the same from the front as it did before. My main goal was just to shorten the tip because it used to droop so much when I smiled, even though it looked flatter when my face was neutral. Now, it doesn't droop anymore and it's shorter, but since it doesn't really show when I'm being serious, nobody even realizes I had work done.

From the profile, though, the change is much more noticeable; you can tell it's straighter and more proportional.

@Carol Diaz31/">@@Carol Diaz31, mine had that drooping tip too, and the difference was huge, but really only people who knew what my nose looked like before—or knew I went under the knife—can tell. Of course, the nose doesn't look "small," because it actually fits my face well.😁 And just like yours, people can't tell I had surgery. 😁 In my case, the surgeon didn't cut the lower muscle, he just lifted it from the inside, so now it's flat instead of having that downward point.😁

All in all, as the days go by, I find myself thinking my nose looks prettier and prettier.😁

Regarding your question about which shade of Megan Fox 😍, I keep an eye on this brown hair thread since I have brown hair myself. I’m leaning towards a level 5, though I should probably double-check with my stylist at Ulta to be certain. 😉Look, it’s far too early to judge your nose; it’ll likely change over the next year or so... 🙂As for those people who supposedly wanted to end it all after a failed procedure... well, if a surgeon actually botched the job, I can empathate with their grief 😢(I know plenty of tragic stories like that, and frankly, it infuriates me that the surgeon is still practicing), but if the nose looks fine and they're just nitpicking because they want a carbon copy of someone else's face, then I really don't get them 🤷. Besides, you've completely misread me. I don't feel contempt for anyone 😕, I'm simply incapable of it. I just don't value certain types of people. I don't respect them, but I wish them the best from a distance; I just can't be around them. Their energy is draining... they're nothing more than emotional vampires. ☕

jadedriver0, you’ve got haters, not to mention outdated views... clearly you don't know much about mental health 🙄

People die from depression and bulimia just the same, and it's frankly twisted to make a joke out of it

Listen, honey, don't speak for me and stop putting words in my mouth (this is the second time someone on this thread has tried to claim they're representing my views👎,and I suspect you're the same person from before; it's pathetic, having no opinion of your own unless you're quoting someone else👎). I speak from experience because I understand health, athletics, nutrition, mindset, alternative medicine, and related fields. I know plenty of women who fought their way out of bulimia through sheer willpower, only to realize too late that they lost their partners, friends, teeth, and overall health in the process. Now they're left dealing with lifelong medical issues that "positive thinking" and willpower simply can't fix☕

Carol Diaz31 The user said:So you're satisfied... that's fine, I suppose... 👍 Mine is getting better by the day. It’s been less than three weeks and I’m already starting to like it... at this rate, I'll probably be obsessed in a few months... 😍

You probably will... though yours might end up being even narrower and smaller. It might not be obvious, but it’s still inflamed and needs time to heal. Just watch yourself so you don't hit your nose... I did that once, and let me tell you, it hurt like hell...🤣I haven't touched a gym in six months because of this brace...🙂

Eeeej, let's not fight about this. 🙂 I really shouldn't have even brought it up. 😵

jadedriver0 said:But you actually asked what shade Megan Fox😍 uses on her hair—I'm always lurking in those brown hair threads since I'm a brunette myself. Honestly, I think she’s a level 5, but I can double-check with my stylist if I really need to.😉:

Anyway, I'm just spiraling a bit over there. Regardless, if you happen to know the exact shade or the brand, shoot me a DM. For future reference... 😬

On another note, for anyone who had work done about two months ago—do you get that weird tingling sensation right at the root between your eyebrows, like when you lift them? It's such a bizarre feeling... almost like I actually had a facelift. 🤣

Ugh, I totally know that feeling... I'm still dealing with some tingling myself. 😁 It’s definitely dialed back since the beginning, but it's still this super weird sensation... like there's this tightness whenever I try to lift my eyebrows.

I did that once, and let me tell you, the pain was absolutely brutal.🤣I haven't touched any kind of sports for six months because of my nose.🙂

I can literally feel how "fragile" it still feels from being broken, and yeah, it still hurts whenever I touch it. I know for a fact it’s nowhere near fully recovered yet. And honestly? As for sports, I haven't been active in twenty years anyway.🤣

It’s such an odd, unsettling feeling. I mean, honestly, it feels exactly like I just went under the knife for a full facelift. Just a strange, localized sensation that I can't quite shake. 🤣

The absolute worst part about yawning... honestly, everything just feels so tight. I find myself tensing up constantly because I’m genuinely terrified that my nose is going to end up all wrinkled and scrunched up. It's such an uncomfortable sensation. 😁

I don't really get the tingling, but there's definitely a pulling sensation. Even when I try to make a surprised face, I just can't. That area feels completely frozen 😂. Just totally stiff 🤷.

Everything was going totally fine until about a week ago. Now, I can't stop twitching my eyebrows up and down—and every time I do, it feels like I'm pulling my nose up along with them too. 🤣

Alright people, what on earth is going on? Just when I thought the hardest part was surviving the actual surgery, you all start mentioning these bizarre side effects... What I really need to know is: is this just temporary, or what? If there are any veterans here who had nose surgery five or ten years ago, please weigh in on when these weird sensations actually fade away. I just want to reach a point where I forget it was ever operated on—where it feels like a natural part of my body, rather than something I have to be careful not to even touch for the rest of my life

It’s been about five years for me, and honestly, it passes😉don't worry too much😍, but look, it is still surgery. Like any other procedure, there are risks. Your body might react differently than someone else's; maybe you'll recover quickly, maybe more slowly. No doctor can guarantee that. It is your body—your temple—and only it knows how to handle it... Making sure your immune system is solid before the procedure is vital. And after the surgery? Take care of yourself. No sports for at least six months.😉🙂

And when winter hits—when the weather gets freezing—do you still feel pain even after five years? I’ve heard that’s one thing that sticks around, no matter how much time has passed since the surgery.

🤷I don't have any pain.🤷 By the way, that doctor from Denver is Dr. Ninković. Some girl mentioned him ages ago; he fixed her sister's lips after Ostojić ruined them during some surgical procedure... left her looking a mess.😢 👎Check the aesthetic surgery section, I think the topic is under Cosmetics somewhere. Look for it, or better yet, just Google him and send an email. Ask about the nose, attach your photo, and be brief about what bothers you. And listen, it's common sense—keep the email short. Don't ramble or waste his time. Just ask what you need to ask.👍

🤣 Honestly, I was just thinking someone might get spooked by our stories. My bad. 😳

It’s really nothing... if you’ve ever had surgery or stitches done abroad, you’ll know exactly the kind of numbness I'm talking about... It's like when you hit your funny bone, only way milder, and it just happens occasionally when you make a certain face or when the weather shifts—like when it gets cold.

Define "sports"? Because I've been working out. 🤷
