Regarding my skin, my entire face was incredibly dry from the tape, yet my nose stayed oily 😁... It cleared up in about a week. Just wash with clean water (don't overdo it, maybe 3 or 4 times a day)... and I used Johnson & Johnson.. within a week, I felt like a brand new person.😁

Man, I’ve been staring at those nose photos. Good grief, Bill really did an incredible job. Your nose used to be huge, but now it looks absolutely beautiful.😁

I actually went to him during my ninth month, though I only had a minor correction.

My nose looks absolutely stunning, and for anyone currently struggling to decide which surgeon to trust with their face, I can't recommend him enough. He’s a complete expert. I know this might sound like a testimonial, but I simply had to share...😍

Could you tell me if you experienced any muscle weakness below your lip? That is my biggest concern...😲
I'm really curious about Ostojic; I'm seriously considering him as my surgeon.

My nose turned out incredibly beautiful, and honestly, if you're sitting there agonizing over which surgeon to trust with your face, just go see him. He's a specialist unlike any other. I realize this probably sounds like a paid advertisement, but I simply had to say it.😍

Hey there.
I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of some photos.
I am genuinely pleased to see that you are so satisfied. 🙏

I'm really starting to look into Smith. Honestly, more and more, I'm thinking about making him my doctor.

Yeah, I cut the muscle under my lip. Don't sweat it, though. You'll be fine. 😁Even before surgery, the doctor asked if I actually wanted him to go in and cut. I told him yes—I wanted that facial movement fixed. Every time I spoke, my nose would twitch or feel all tight. It was annoying. 🙄
Don't sweat it. You'll be out cold under anesthesia anyway. Honestly, getting your nose done sounds way worse than just cutting one muscle. 😁Recovery's taking a bit longer than expected. That area above the upper lip still feels pretty tight, but honestly, given how bad that incision was, it’s not surprising. 🙂
My recommendation? Go with Dr. Smith. 👍
I honestly don't know. I know this one girl who was at the hospital in Phoenix last year—she went in for a deviated septum, but they ended up doing some aesthetic work too, and she turned out totally fine... I guess it just depends on which doctor you end up seeing.

Which doctor were you and your boyfriend seeing in Phoenix?[/QUOTE

I was actually in Phoenix a few months back and I'm really happy with how things went. Dr. Smith handled my surgery; he was incredibly kind and easy to talk to. Dr. Miller didn't really give me that same vibe.😁
I’m curious if anyone here has gone through rhinoplasty in the last year or so. When did your nose actually settle into its final shape? Like, when did the swelling finally quit and it stopped shifting around? How many months did it take for you to see the real result?

It’s been three weeks since my surgery. I just went in for the cosmetic stuff—nothing functional—and while everything went fine physically, I have to admit I’m not exactly thrilled with how things look. I know, I know—it’s early, everything needs time to swell down and settle, but there's this tiny bump still visible right where it used to be (you can see it from the profile, and even when looking straight on or at a slight angle). I really hope I’m just being a perfectionist and trying to flatten a bridge only to end up with an even bumpier nose. My surgeon tells me it’s too soon to judge the final result, but deep down, I have a feeling this is just how it’s going to stay. On top of that, the tip feels narrow, and I can feel this little knot on one side of the very tip. I’ve scoured every forum out there, and nobody seems to mention having a bumpy nose after the cast comes off. I honestly feel pretty miserable about it—like the whole thing was a waste of time. Has anyone else dealt with this, or did you all actually get those perfectly smooth, dainty little noses once the cast was gone?!

I had the exact same thing happen, and now I’m heading back in for a revision. Last time they just shaved things down, but this time they’re going to actually break the bone—an osteotomy.
My cartilage just didn't cooperate, so I never got the base I actually wanted. The tip turned out great, but the bridge is high with this annoying little protrusion.
I don't want to freak you out, but it sounds exactly like my situation.😢

Hi everyone, I've been following this thread from the very beginning and have read through all the previous posts. I was wondering if anyone might be able to share their personal experiences with Dr. Smith, Dr. Miller, or Dr. Anderson? 🙏🙏 🙂

Even though I’ve got a broken nose and some underlying health issues to deal with, I think the cosmetic side of things is actually what’s weighing on me most. I’d love to get some advice from people who have been through this—I'm considering seeing a private surgeon, but I'd much rather check out my options through the hospital system first. Thanks!

Ashley Young34 said:Yes, they did cut a muscle under my lip, but there's really nothing to worry about😁. My surgeon actually asked if I wanted him to make that incision before the procedure; I opted for it to improve my facial expressions, because my nose used to twitch—or rather, feel tight—whenever I spoke🙄.
Don't be afraid. You'll be under anesthesia anyway, and honestly, reshaping a nose sounds much more intense than cutting a single muscle😁. That said, you might feel some tightness above your upper lip during recovery, which makes sense given the incision mentioned above🙂.
I’d highly recommend Dr. Smith👍.

Thanks for the reply. It just sounds a bit unsettling to hear the phrase "cutting muscle"😁.

I need to get surgery for a deviated septum because it’s pretty severe. My quality of life is basically zero right now—I sleep terribly, I feel completely winded during workouts, and every little cold hits me ten times harder than it should.
I’m looking to have this done in Washington, D.C., rather than San Francisco. To be blunt, I have some serious reservations about the hygiene and the general "hospitality" of the doctors at the Mayo Clinic. Does anyone know a reliable specialist in D.C.? Also, what does the recovery look like? I heard the packing gets removed after three days, but then you're stuck with stitches for a while...
I’m also a bit worried about the aesthetics. What are the odds my nose ends up looking worse or more asymmetrical than it does now? It’s essentially a cosmetic procedure too, so I want an expert with actual experience handling this.
Going private is incredibly expensive. It feels reckless to drop that kind of cash if I can find someone just as skilled working in a hospital setting...
Any suggestions? I’ve heard good things about the facility over in Manhattan..🙄

Where is Smith located? Which city? Is he in private practice?

Hey Smith, you run a private practice, right? I honestly can't tell if you're any good because I hear such mixed things from people—some say you're amazing and others aren't so sure.🤷

Does anyone know how long the wait typically is for a follow-up appointment and surgery with Smith?

You won't be waiting forever. It all comes down to what you arrange. I got my whole thing sorted in under a month.😁

Thanks! Zachary Nguyen29, when can we expect to see those nose photos? You know, the before and after shots from the surgery? :-)

I’ve decided that I want to go through with nose surgery in about six months. I already went in for a consultation with Dr. Miller, and I really liked them—the whole team was incredibly kind and welcoming.
I have a few questions for anyone who has already gone through this:
1. Is one month really enough time for my nose to look somewhat normal, without all the swelling and stuff? (I mean, about a month post-op)
2. Do they charge for the initial consultations? If so, roughly how much should I expect to pay?
3. My plan is to slightly lift the tip of my nose. I read somewhere that these types of procedures cost around $2667? Is that actually accurate?

Thanks so much!🙂
