Look, it’s really not that dramatic... my nose looks better than it did before anyway, so he didn't exactly ruin me, don't worry about it, haha... I just honestly expected there wouldn't be any stupid little bumps or imperfections left over after the revision... And if you're wondering why I went back to him for the fix, it was because he was actually the one who suggested it, since he wasn't even pretending he couldn't see the issues—which, let's be real, he could have easily done—and at the time, it felt like the fair thing to do... I figured, hey, maybe this will finally smooth everything out... but things started feeling sketchy once my friend mentioned she'd need a revision too... and please don't get mad, but this isn't some deep thing about self-esteem... 😂

Look, if you don't see the issue here, then I'm just not going to get involved... everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I guess...😛And that surgeon actually went and offered my sister a corrective procedure, though of course she didn't take him up on it... which is only logical, really...☕

Was she the one who ended up in the Latin section once? 😕
Personally, I almost ended up under John Smith's knife myself—all because of my nose.
Everything was pretty much set, and I was supposed to get a few checkups done at other hospitals first, but I couldn't make it happen due to scheduling issues and stuff. When I mentioned it to the doctor, he just shrugged it off and said, "Oh, don't worry, those tests aren't that critical."

Look, I get that an EKG isn't some life-altering diagnostic, but honestly... if there's a major heart issue, wouldn't that basic test catch it? It would definitely help gauge the surgical risk... or whatever!

Anyway, that attitude of his really put a damper on things for me, so I backed out of the whole operation. If I hadn't, maybe I’d be dead by now—or maybe I’d just have a few more dates under my belt... 🙂

Whatever.😛And this surgeon actually had the nerve to offer my sister a fix, too. But of course, she wasn't having any of it. I mean, obviously, right? Why would she?☕

Hey, read back what you actually wrote: "my sister went to John Smith for that lip inversion surgery and she looks absolutely horrific, her life is ruined forever" — I’m putting massive emphasis on LOOKS HORRIFIC and LIFE IS RUINED. In that case, yeah, I guess I can see why you'd say it makes sense she wouldn't want him to try and fix it... but now, do me a favor and read everything *I* actually wrote and tell me if I ever used terms like that?! Look, I feel for your sister, really, but I have zero clue why you decided to come for me personally... my situation isn't some massive tragedy, thank God... because, again, my nose looks way better than it did before the surgery, so I don't look horrific and my life isn't over... I just wanted to warn other people thinking about going to Kincl to think twice if they actually want value for their money, that's it. And if I'm just "stupid" for choosing him or "don't respect myself or my body" or whatever—hey, feel free to go tell that to my sister instead. Btw—what even is lip inversion anyway?!?! 🤣

jadecrane3 said:maybe try reading what you actually wrote one more time: "my sister had lip reversal surgery with John Smith and she looks absolutely horrific, her life is ruined forever" — and I’m really highlighting the HORRIFIC LOOKS and RUINED LIFE part... if that's the case, I guess I can see why you'd say it makes sense she wouldn't go back to him for a revision... but now, please, just read everything I’ve said and tell me if I ever used those kinds of words?! Look, I feel for your sister, I really do, but I have no idea why you decided to take a swing at me... my own situation isn't quite that catastrophic... because, again, my nose looks way better than it did before the surgery, so I don't look horrific and my life isn't over... I just wanted anyone else considering going to Kincl to think twice if they actually want value for their money, and that's all... and if I'm just "stupid" for choosing him and somehow disrespecting myself or my body or whatever—well, feel free to pass that sentiment along to your sister... by the way, what even is lip reversal?!?! 🤣

I honestly don't get what's so funny about this. Is it maybe the fact that my sister went through this?🤷😢☕If you're struggling with certain expressions, there's always Google or a dictionary available...🤷And besides, I wasn't targeting you specifically; I was trying to appeal to anyone out there to consider whether it's actually smart to go back to someone who didn't get it right the first time in the first place. Maybe you felt attacked because I wrote that with a lot of negative energy toward him, but it wasn't directed at you or anyone else. Believe me, it genuinely makes me sick to my stomach to see someone go through something similar, even if it's just close enough to leave them feeling miserable...😢👎

I mean, guys don't seem to swell as much as women do, 🙂 but man, this guy is seriously puffy. On my second day post-op, I had this massive bruise under one eye and a smaller one on the other... but by day 4, I was already looking way more human. 😁

Hello everyone...
I've been spending quite a bit of time lately reading through all your shared experiences—mostly trying to keep my cool—but honestly, the closer we get to the actual date, the more the anxiety starts to creep in. I'm scheduled to have surgery to correct a deviated septum at Mercy Hospital, under the care of Dr. Bačić. From what I understand, they aren't going to touch anything else; the goal is strictly to straighten that septum so I can finally breathe normally.
So—does anyone here happen to have any firsthand experience with him or the hospital?
Based on everything I’ve gathered so far, I’m planning to pack some chocolate milk powder and those little Monte chocolate treats to help me recover—and I'm trying my best not to freak out when the bleeding starts... does anyone have any other advice for me?

I've been lurking here for a bit reading through all your stories trying to keep my cool, but honestly, the closer we get to surgery day, the more I’m freaking out. I’m heading to Mercy Hospital to see Dr. Bačić for a deviated septum repair. They told me they aren't going to touch anything else—just straighten that septum so I can actually breathe through my nose like a normal person.
So—has anyone here dealt with him or had any experience at that hospital?
Based on everything I've read, I'm packing some chocolate snacks and just trying not to lose it when the bleeding starts... any other advice?

Look, being scared is totally normal. Anyone who tells you they weren't nervous is lying through their teeth. 😁 My best advice is just to take a deep breath and chill. It’s going to be fine. When I had my septum fixed, it was nothing—honestly, it didn't even hurt. I didn't even end up with black eyes. Just prepare yourself for the fact that breathing through your mouth for about five days is going to be super annoying and your mouth is going to feel like a desert... but other than that, it's a breeze.
Good luck! I'll be crossing my fingers for you. Let us know how it goes!

I will definitely get back to you once I have more details—I haven’t been able to find any information yet regarding whether anyone has actually undergone nose surgery with this doctor. 😉
So—rustygardener172, it isn't the pain itself that has me worried, but rather the entire situation as a whole. 😂
And I am also looking over my blood work—well, at least I’ve gone ahead and had those tests done—and it shows I have some anti-erythrocyte antibodies. What on earth does that even mean??? It was just listed there as a side note. 🤷

As for the breathing issue, I mostly breathe through my mouth anyway instead of my nose, so I suppose I can manage that part too. 😁

Has anyone here actually had surgery with a doctor in Indianapolis?
Does anyone have any intel on Dr. Dario Šoš?

I'm looking into getting a rhinoplasty, so I'm trying to vet this guy...

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my recent experience dealing with post-op pain.
Last year, I had surgery with Dr. Smith at his clinic in Boston. It was a nose job, mostly for aesthetic reasons. Those first seven days after the procedure were honestly traumatic. I went under in September, spent exactly one night under the care of the surgeon and his nurses, and then got discharged with those generic recovery instructions they give every single patient. For a few days, I was just checking in with his colleagues over the phone, did a couple of follow-up appointments, and that was it. As far as the immediate recovery goes, everything seemed fine. But on the seventh day, when the bandages finally came off, I realized the results were pretty much negligible. The deal was that the surgery would have a functional component because Dr. Smith claimed I had significant septal damage and bulky conchae. Basically, I wanted to fix how my nose looked, but the doctor insisted the priority had to be fixing the function, claiming it was more important to address the structural issues. Well, that’s when the real nightmare started, starting with the anesthesia. Even that first injection felt like a warning sign that this was going to hurt. I didn't wake up until five or six hours later, and the actual procedure took about four hours. Waking up to the real world was brutal; since it was such a marathon procedure, my body was so cold I was shaking like a leaf. My memory of that moment is blurry, but I know I had to panic and alert the staff about how I was feeling. When I finally fully woke up, I was wrapped in layers of warm blankets and hospital bedding—basically as much as you can pile on a patient to make a room feel cozy at night. To cut a long story short... my first impression of my nose was pure disappointment. It looks practically the same, especially now that it's been a full year since the surgery. The internal structure is basically gutted; parts of the cartilage were removed, but in spots that do absolutely nothing for the external look. Not to mention my sense of smell is totally messed up, and there's this constant, unpleasant sensation. The tip of my nose isn't even close to what I expected—if anything, it looks wider than before. The only thing they actually fixed was the bony bridge, which was remodeled. The cartilage around the incision sites is all uneven, especially during weather shifts. The pain isn't even about intensity; it's just this constant, nagging discomfort. Every time the weather changes, I react like a barometer. The internal shape is so altered that mucus gets trapped in places it definitely shouldn't be.
My nose feels completely different depending on whether it's day or night. At night, the swelling around the cartilage where the doctor made his cuts is driving me crazy. It almost feels like it's growing.
They promised me everything would settle down after about twelve months, but I've hit month thirteen and the flaws are becoming even more obvious every day.
They hinted that sometimes, if a procedure isn't fully successful, you have to go back in for a second round. But there is no way I'm going back for revision surgery. Especially since they already cleaned me out financially. Like, a massive amount of money.
Anyone else dealt with this kind of mess?

Honestly, I haven't a clue... maybe try posting in one of those other threads where people actually break down lab results... I can't remember the exact name of the sub... 😁 or just hang tight and let your doctor explain everything when you see them. 😉

Well, the mystery has finally been solved. It turns out I don't actually have them (oops!)—but apparently, that’s perfectly fine. 🙂
So, nothing much to worry about; I've got a few days to get organized, get my gear ready, and just take care of business. ☕

I was told that sometimes, if things aren't quite perfect, you have to go back in for a second round—but I am absolutely not interested in another revision. Especially since they already cleaned me out financially. Like, seriously, a massive amount of money.
Anyone else dealing with this kind of nightmare?

TOTAL LIES!!!! 🤮
Your story hits way too close to home for me, and here is the cold, hard truth: you were just unlucky enough to be operated on by an incompetent surgeon who completely wrecked your nose.👎 Even if you paid full price for the surgery, I am truly, deeply sorry.
Things aren't going to get better. 😢 In fact, they’ll probably get worse over the next six months before they just flatline.

Almost every single issue you mentioned happened to me too—especially that awful smell and the cartilage being all displaced. The only real fix is a second surgery, performed by someone who actually knows what they're doing. ☕

Does anyone know a solid ENT or maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in cartilage spreader grafts? I’m looking for someone experienced in replacing cartilage to actually fix breathing issues and get things working normally again.
If you’ve gone through something similar or have a recommendation, please shoot me a DM. Honestly, I’m starting to feel pretty desperate about this... 😢

Can someone please walk me through what an ENT exam actually looks like? I need to know exactly what they’ll be doing, which tests I should expect to undergo, and all that good stuff...

I’m actually feeling a bit sick right now—I was just scrolling through a few pages and saw some women complaining about how John Smith completely ruined them... and I have surgery scheduled in a couple of days.
I've read some pretty terrifying stuff... I feel like I should probably say something to him, shouldn't I? I can't exactly pretend I'm in the dark. Ugh, I really don't feel well now, what am I supposed to do???
