Don't comfort me. I chose this doctor because I was genuinely impressed by their work, but clearly, things didn't go quite as planned for me.

stormyharbor2 said:Hahaha, I did the exact same thing, except that fake nose looked like I was born with it. 🤣 I see where you're going with this. I'll go along with it, though maybe skip that basket—it seems a little too sharp. 😬

Thanks, yeah, that nose shape is actually pretty hilarious. 😁

So, I messaged Dr. Toncic and he actually got back to me—it was a really thorough response, too.
I'm quoting a section here in case anyone is curious about the costs: "The price for rhinoplasty is..." $3667 You can pay via credit card (Maestro, Master, Visa, Diners, or American Express) in monthly installments ranging from 2 to 12 months, or through consumer loans with 2 to 60 installments, depending on which card you're using. If you prefer to pay in cash, the price is... $3333We offer a pretty significant discount if you pay in cash. If you decide to combine the aesthetic work with the functional part—meaning a septoplasty to fix the nasal septum—the total price for the procedure would be... $4400 Regarding card payments, huh? $4000 For cash payments, the examination fee is... $83."

He recommended this one site specifically for international clients that features his before-and-after shots. Honestly, I think it’s a much better resource than his actual main website; on his official page, my nose looks a little unfinished, though maybe that was just what those women were looking for.

This is what mine looks like 😬—but honestly, I’m not feeling the "after" result at all. The bridge is way too high now and it just gives off this heavy "Roman nose" vibe... 😢

A specialty of Dr. Toncic
is African American noses.

So basically, he's your guy if you're looking to fix a smaller, button-style nose.

So, I just finished scrolling through all 171 pages of this forum 😍 and I have to say, thanks to everything you ladies have shared here 🙏🙏🙏, I’ve finally narrowed my choices down to two surgeons. It's down to Dr. Toncic and Glumicic. Dr. Toncic seems more accessible regarding the price, though I cooled off a bit after seeing some of his results online. On the other hand, maybe Glumicic gives everyone that same slightly upturned nose, but honestly, that’s the look I want. Even if it looks a little fake, it would still be better than my current beak 😁, and I think it might give me a softer overall look.

Why them specifically? Mostly because nobody here has said anything majorly negative about them or had a terrible experience. For some other surgeons I was looking at, someone mentioned getting permanent lumps after surgery or simply not getting the nose they actually wanted, which definitely turned me off. With Dr. Toncic, my only real hesitation is the tip of the nose; looking at his photos, I’m worried he doesn't refine the tip enough. Maybe I'm wrong? Perhaps if someone has such a wide tip, it's just harder to work with 🤷. I really hope that's not the case. Another thing that bugs me—based on what I've read in your posts—is that his son usually handles the consultations instead of Dr. Toncic himself. I'm a little unsure how accurately he'll communicate my specific wishes to his father. I worry that by choosing Dr. Toncic because he's cheaper than Glumicic by about $1333, I might end up regretting it later. Looking at the long term, maybe price isn't the most important factor. Then again, reading their summaries, both seem quite experienced, so cost shouldn't be the deciding factor. I guess I wonder why Dr. Toncic is so much more affordable than Glumicic? I just hope it isn't due to lower quality 😲
.
I realize this is a long post, so sorry if I'm bothering you all, but I'm genuinely stuck. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you again to everyone for sharing your advice and experiences. It has been incredibly helpful 😍 🙏🙏

I actually think this one is really nice...

Not bad at all in my opinion.

I’ve noticed that with our surgeons here, the nose always looks "glued" onto the face—there's none of that subtle space near the nasal ala before it blends into the cheeks. Is that just how it goes, or is there another way to do it?🤔

@mellowgull51/">@@mellowgull51, I totally agree regarding Toncic's noses—specifically the tips. Honestly, I've read plenty of criticism here about both Toncic and Ostojic, and even a few bits about Glushac, though those weren't quite as bad...

Some people might think this is a bit much, but personally? I think this nose (this profile) looks great.

redranger82 said:Hey everyone, I'm new to this whole topic, so I have a quick question for the veterans here. 😁

I've got a deviated septum, and my doctor mentioned I could get surgery covered by insurance, but honestly, I’d love for them to touch up the aesthetics while they're at it. I'm wondering how much they're actually willing to do under an insurance referral—basically, if I don't want to shell out several thousand bucks out of pocket.

Do they perform the aesthetic part the exact same way when it's covered by insurance as they would if someone just paid cash? 🙂 😁

Thanks for the help! 🙂

My first nose job was done at a public hospital—they fixed the deviation and tried to do some cosmetic work at the same time. Honestly? My nose looked worse after that than before, so I definitely wouldn't recommend going that route. You're better off waiting a bit, saving up some cash, and heading to a private clinic. From what I see around here, some doctors charge separate fees for the deviation and the aesthetics, but with my surgeon, the price was basically the same whether you were just doing the cosmetic fix or combining it with the functional stuff.

Raymond Kern3 said:Is it possible during nose surgery to, say, remove that dark skin around the eyes (not under them, but beside them) so it matches the rest of my face? Here are some photos http://1001-herbaltreatment.com/wp-c...nt-300x203.jpg and (I thought of Tacia because he has that look around his eyes). So, basically, can that skin be removed and replaced with a different area? What would you call that? How should I explain this to a surgeon? I mean, instead of having skin like in those two images, I want it to look more like http://image.shutterstock.com/displa...man-847401.jpg and http://www.anygirlfriday.com/wp-cont.../Zac-Efron.jpg and http://xf7.xanga.com/0f2b231401d3226.../z16522853.jpg. Do you get what I'm aiming for? I want the skin around my eyes to match the rest of my face. Someone please let me know...

Can someone please answer me... Does anyone know if there's even a thing like this kind of procedure???

I’ve been following this forum for a while now, so I know you’ve been hunting for the right specialist for quite some time 🙂. Have you finally made a decision on the surgery? And if so, which surgeon did you settle on?

stormyharbor2 said:Blepharoplasty?🤷 I guess almost every surgeon in the States does that kind of thing nowadays.

I'm not talking about the eyelids—not the upper or lower parts—but rather the sides (to the right of the left eye and the left of the right eye), just so it isn't dark, but matches the rest of my face. I wonder if that's still called blepharoplasty or...? My thought was that while getting a septoplasty to fix my deviated septum, I might ask the doctor to remove those specific bits of skin on the sides. It's basically the skin that meets the nose. I would probably upload an image from my computer (not a photo of me) to show what I mean, but I'm not quite sure how to post one here...

Guys, my nose is crooked from all the fighting I used to do. Does anyone have a recommendation on where I can get this fixed in Indianapolis? Honestly, that chapter of my life is closed, but I’m stuck with this crooked nose. It’s not a disaster or anything, but man, I know what a good nose looks like. I’m not even joking around here—I'm laughing at myself because the whole thing is just pathetic. 🤣😂

They work in shifts (like, the younger guy does Mon-Wed, then Fri afternoons)...actually, I can't remember the exact schedule...just ask them when you call and make sure to book your consultation for a time when the older Toncic is actually in the office.
