Has anyone here actually gone through surgery with Dr. Klapan in Washington, D.C.? I've been hearing whispers that his facility is top-tier, especially since he apparently uses the latest tech and even offers laser procedures

Older—I sent you a PM. 🙂

It’s perfect—absolutely perfect. To be honest, I was a bit surprised because I didn't really know how to explain exactly what I wanted during my consultation, but you can tell the surgeon really knows his stuff and... well... it's just perfect!

@Kate Taylor59/">@@Kate Taylor59 - I'm 18 too 🙂, so if you do decide to go through with the surgery, don't let the recovery scare you. I guess those first couple of days dealing with the swelling is pretty rough and you might feel like you're dying 🤣, but once you take everything off after about three days, things settle down. For me, even taking it off wasn't bad. You can breathe again and get back to your normal self. And trust me, once that garment comes off, it's all worth it 😍

Oh man, I'm so glad you're happy with the results 🙂🙂🙂🙂
For me, taking the wrap off was actually kind of traumatic—not because of the pain, but more mentally. When I finally looked in the mirror, I was squinting, almost afraid to open my eyes. But when I did... wow, what a surprise, right? 😁
If you aren't too shy, maybe take a photo and share some pictures 😍

Hey there! I have a question for those of you who have actually gone through surgery. It’s my sixth day post-op, and honestly, this constant "swaying" sensation in my head just won't quit. I keep telling myself it'll pass, but it hasn't let up at all. It feels like I’m constantly riding waves. On top of that, my hearing seems way more intense now, which is actually getting kind of annoying. Like, if someone speaks even slightly too loud, it feels like every sound just echoes right through my skull. Has anyone else dealt with something similar?

I get that exact same feeling. You described it perfectly—that swaying sensation. For me, it was really intense at first, but it's definitely tapering off now. I've noticed that if I stand for too long or sit straight up without leaning my head back, my nose feels more congested and that swaying gets worse. I'm pretty sure it'll pass eventually...

I'm just disappointed, honestly. That's all I've got to say. I was pretty clear about wanting a small, upturned nose, but I guess luck just wasn't on my side.
Looking at that photo I sent you... seeing how they photographed me and how it turned out—it really didn't feel right.

Hi ladies,

I’m reaching out because I can't seem to find any information online—does anyone know how much a nose job costs with Dr. Glusca?
My breathing is perfectly fine, though he might suggest working on the functionality too, but I am strictly interested in the AESTHETICS.
What kind of price tag are we looking at?

Thanks.
Also, if you happen to have any before-and-after photos (specifically from Dr. Glusca), please send them my way even if you haven't shared them yet. I am seriously obsessing over this surgery and researching him right now.

Look, I don't mean to upset you, but not everyone can walk away with a tiny, perky nose—you have to be realistic. 🤷Maybe it just wasn't physically possible in your case, or maybe he went with something he thought would actually suit you. Either way, he should have at least smoothed out that bump... that shouldn't have been an impossible request.

Hey everyone!

I really put in the work today and sat down to read through this entire thread from the very beginning, and while doing that, I stumbled upon some rather negative experiences involving Dr. Glusca. 😢 😢 And honestly, that feeling of dread is creeping back in again.

enivejz - I’ve been scrolling through a few posts lately—some were positive, though they were incredibly brief regarding... Dr. Ljubis Bastaic

@rustygardener172 I noticed he made it onto your shortlist too—did you actually end up going to see him?
So, you're actually going to see him for a consultation? Are you having second thoughts because of something negative that happened, or did something specific pull you back from the edge?

Is anyone around? I would honestly love to hear some feedback or get an idea of what kind of pricing we're looking at here. 🙂🙂

@stormyharbor2 How are you holding up during your recovery?

Either way, he really should have smoothed out that bump entirely; that shouldn't be such an impossible task.

stormyharbor2, now that you mention the whole thing about how not everyone can get a button nose—I remember my surgeon asking me a few times before the procedure: "What if it doesn't turn out to be a button nose? Are you going to kill me then?" (or maybe "Are you going to kill yourselves?") 😕 It always seemed weird to me why he'd even ask. Now I think I get it—it's because my nose isn't actually a button nose... he clearly knew all along, since he's obviously not some random amateur.

Both you and rustygardener172 saw the photo and agreed the nose doesn't look like a button nose—and besides, you both noticed the bump that's still there. So, to top it all off, the nose is uneven too. I'm replying to rustygardener172, who asked if this was just how it looked in the picture or if there’s an actual bump. YES—it's there and it's visible. I honestly don't know what to do... whether I should go in for another surgery or not. I'm not exactly Rockefeller; I can't afford to undergo sixteen nose jobs like someone like Pisek might.

For me, having the mold removed was such a traumatic experience—not because of the actual pain, mind you, but more of a psychological thing... When I finally stood in front of the mirror, I was squinting my eyes shut, absolutely terrified to look, but when I finally opened them—wow, what a total surprise! 😁
If you aren't too embarrassed, please take a photo and send some pictures our way! 😍

Pictures sent! I really hope you can see them (I wasn't entirely sure how to upload images, so I kind of improvised a bit—if they don't show up, just let me know and I'll try again)!

It was just as traumatic for me, too... My sister actually mentioned that she’s never had a patient who almost burst into tears during the mold removal process 😂
To be honest, while I was sneezing with the mold still on, I was convinced that everything inside was shifting around and that I'd ended up with a bump on my nose all over again 🤣 🤣
But, once I saw the final result—well, I was just completely speechless...

Betty Gonzalez41 and Nancy Perez74 —are you guys planning on sending those photos my way too? 🙂

mellowgull51 — I totally forgot to mention how much I love your nose, and honestly, it looks like you're having an incredibly fast recovery! 👍

I’ve actually got a consultation scheduled with Bastaic tomorrow, so I’ll be sure to check back in and let you all know how it goes. 🙂

@rustygardener172 So, I noticed he made your shortlist too—did you actually end up going to see him?
So, you're actually going to see him for a consultation? Are you seriously second-guessing things because something went sideways, or are you just having one of those moments where everything feels a bit sketchy?

Anyone out there? I’m looking for some honest feedback and, honestly, a reality check on prices. Any takers? 🙂🙂

@stormyharbor2 So, how’s the recovery going? Honestly, it’s a whole process, isn't it? One day you feel like you're actually getting somewhere, and the next, you're just staring at the ceiling wondering when things will get back to normal. It’s a grind, for sure.

What negative experiences? Honestly, I can't even remember any... All I recall is everyone just trashing him personally instead of actually critiquing his work. But whatever, it doesn't really matter to me—my results turned out great. 😁 Hahahahahah
I haven't actually sat down for a consultation with Bastaic myself... but honestly, I've been hearing nothing but glowing reviews. I recently met this girl who went to him for a nose job, and she was absolutely raving about the results. She’s actually a member here on the forum—I can't remember if she's still posting much lately, though.

I didn't personally go to see Bastajic for a consultation, but I've heard nothing but wonderful things about him. I actually met a girl who had her nose done by him, and she couldn't stop raving about how amazing he was... she used to be active on this forum, though I'm not sure if she still checks in...

But I went through this entire thread, and there were a few examples mentioned—like someone whose nose structure failed, though it seemed more like their cartilage wasn't healthy to begin with, so I'm really not sure if that was actually his fault.🤷

To be fair, there will always be unhappy patients, and people have been posting stories like that forever, so I try to take everything I read here with a grain of salt.

One huge plus with Bastajic is that he’s located right nearby, and I haven't seen a single piece of negative feedback posted here—I even read somewhere that he's the only member of the American Academy of Plastic Surgery in the US.

Here is an article about him, although if you search on Google, there isn't actually much that comes up—it seems like he doesn't spend much time advertising himself, which I think is actually a really good sign.🙂

Did you actually meet that girl in person? That is so cool!

Honestly, it’s a bit strange to me that absolutely nobody seems to know anything about Zgaljardic. Has really no one here had any actual experience dealing with him?

Thanks! Yeah, I really did bounce back quickly. I'm not sure if that's just how it goes or if it was just me, but I managed to recover just in time for my lectures. 😁😁
